Going to be banned for 1 match max for this as a warning. It wasn't really a fight, but it could had escalated to it.

You can't have players going into the stands. You'll trigger all kinds of crowd disturbances and pitch invasions. In many ways it is worse than the Cantona incident. At least Cantona reacted instantly to racism and it was not premeditated.

To be fair quite a few of these 'fans' deserve a whack for the way they behave in the stands.

I don't think there's much in this. He thought his brother was in trouble and rushed to help him, stopping short of throwing a punch. I'd have done at least as much as him, if not more.

Sure, he should get a ban for running into the crowd like that but I really don't think it's that big of a deal.
We havent a clue what happened. How would his brother be in trouble?

I’m pretty sure I remember a story from a few years ago where he hinted at violence against Herrera in a game. Something along the lines of “seeing him soon”

He obviously fancies himself as a bit of a hardman.
Yup, he was doing those 'threats' of some sort at Herrera, I think there was something with Hazard, plus he's proven time and time again that he's got very short fuse. He's a type of a chav who's sitting outside an offie just waiting for anybody to look at him the wrong way so he can start the shit.

No idea, but he was involved in something - obviously
Absolutely, it would be just unfair of us to disregard a very likely scenario where Eric's brother is as much of a fecking mug as his brother.

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody in the stands said something along the lines of Oh how unfortunate we hath been this game, our brave players like sir Eric hath done worse than usually but I'm sure we'll win the next match, onto the next one, COYS. ' to which his bruv responded 'oi feck u blud i'll stab u if u don't shut yer gob'.

Some jobs you're just born into. Brother / sister is one of them.

Dier is a twat, not for sticking up for his little brother though. I'm with Jose on this, unprofessional but almost everyone would do the same.
We don’t even know what was going on yet, do we?

would do it a million times over and he has my full support and it appears the support of Tottenham. it is in no way worse than Cantona who assaulted a child....

What’s up with Jose? He looks absolutely horrible, hopefully it’s just the stress and not some health issues.
Nah just the stress. He looked the same towards his end here. Look at pictures of him a few weeks after he got fired, he looks reborn.

It is the job of a brother to help a younger sibling though.
Anyone know how much trouble this sibling was in or what was even happening?
dier was hardly sprinting or rushing , shouting over those chairs as if someone was in trouble, he was just wading over them acting the big man, hardly on a rescue mission

The man Cantona assualted was 20, he was by no means a "child" in the eyes of the law.

I kinda don't have a problem with this as long as its a rare occurrence. The matchday ticket price does not come with the right to be an abusive assh*le.

I vividly remember the Cantona incident at Crystal Palace but I must have missed the cantona incident you're talking about....

Yes, and he was suspended for 8 months.

To be fair, he is 57! Also, he’ll look better when his hair grows out properly again ;)

He had the mind of a child in the body of a 40 year old darts player.

Nah, look at him when he is leaving hotel on his way to London, day or two after he got fired, he looked 10 years younger.

I don't think it'll be a massive ban or anything, he didn't actually fight anyone.

Probably 5 games or something.

Well that's pretty wrong though and I'm not sure how, after so many years, this blatant lie can still be peddled, especially on a United forum.

It was Robbie Keane, Erling Haland's mother, and that's why her son didn't want to join us many years later and now plays for Mönchengladbach.

It's the intent though. There doesn't have to be contact in order for it to be violent conduct.

Fifa. Violent conduct:
Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made
If they want to make an example of him, he could well get a lengthly ban.
