I have a pretty high threshold for what the crowd should be able to sing or chant at footballers within the confines of the ground, as I always argue that people aren't attacking the individual, but they are attacking the footballing persona or who the footballer represents and it actually enrichens the culture of the game. It's similar to how a crowd reacts at the wrestling or boxing. As long as chants are not demonstrably racist, homophobic, sexist, or in very bad taste, I think you let it go.

This clearly crosses the line though as it is outside the ground and is personal abuse directed at one individual, with no other intention but to hurt them. You are no longer simply cat calling a footballer, but wanting to abuse a man.
