Liverpool fans can complain they were denied winning the title but we've been denied winning the Europa League AND the FA Cup.

So I'd say we're even.

might be selfish, but its a bummer I still have to work and proceed with normal life, but won't have the football relief twice a week to distract me.

It's sad actually that some Liverpool fans who are alive now, who were hoping to see their team lift the title, will succumb to this virus. Give them the title, they deserve it.

Nobody cancelled the PL for bird flu or swine flu, and we're all fine now. I remember being afraid that birds would be around me when I went outside, I thought I would contract the virus if a bird happened to peck me or even lightly graze me with its beak. But that turned out not to be the case, I was ignorant to how bird flu actually worked.
Is this a joke?

Sports is dead for now. It's pathetic and selfish that leagues refuse to accept it until they have no other choice.

Not arsed. Sorry!
Of course you aren't but many other fans would be. You're not really doing much to dispute my initial claim that it would be agenda driven either (which in itself is a bit icky when you consider it's a global pandemic we're talking about).

Am I wrong? Why do you want the season voided? The reason is obvious. Funnily enough, as things stand your club is in the final CL spot yet if they void it you're back in the Europa League next season.
So where's the agenda

Why would we want the season voiding? We'd be back in the EL when currently we're on a good run of form and have a very good chance of making top 4.
I was talking about the fans with those last two clubs.

I take it you're just intentionally ignoring some of the replies to my post which prove where the agenda is? I wasn't talking about just the owners when I said it would be agenda driven.

No way the next gameweek is going to be played after these Arteta news. Honestly can't see how they'll continue the league tbh.

I can't see them suspending the league until next week's fixtures when the virus will most likely spread to a few other players in other teams.

Thinking about Arteta, what if Hodgson caught the virus? He's in the age group that is most vulnerable, it would be a tragedy if something happened to him or even any other older manager because the league continued unnecessarily.

I think, like a lot of things, the footy is over. Some may or may not care but this virus appears to be quite aggresive and I for one don't want to loose my elderly (but not that old) parents, the kids grandparents. Neither do a lot of people. I'm self employed and work in live events and all my work for the next few months has all gone away. Live events are cancelling. Sadly a lot of them are dragging their heels as they try to make sure they are insured before they do so. Italy is feck'ed with their hospitals maxed out. Personally I think the government should do more to shut things down here, but I also know that many in this country don't like being told what to do and will always think they know better. You cannot really compare us to China or Japan. If their government says they are locking down, they lock down. If we do it, all hell will probably break loose. People have already begun panic-buying, all the toilet rolls have gone, there's no pasta or rice left on the shelves in my local Asda. People with less money or less mobility can't get those items now. We don't behave the same way. Also, I think our lot has worked out just how infectious this is and perhaps how unstoppable it is and decided that shutting everything down won't help and maybe they think now it's about timing.

Either way, I think a lot of people are going to die from this, probably more elderly or already unwell, but that doesn't make it any nicer. We need to look out for one and other.

This is an article from a few days ago, from an Italian doctor saying we aren't panicking enough; https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...s-doctor-panic-lombardy-bergamo-a9389911.html - ignore the video at the top.

Let's hope it doesn't take a high profile death for them to do something about it.

I am genuinely buzzing that it might feck you over x.
Luckily Liverpool are so far ahead it will be impossible for anyone to ever suggest Liverpool haven't won the league this year. If it were closer then you could make another argument, but Liverpool have won the 19/20 Premier League, even if it gets postponed or voided. Nobody will ever be able to change the way the current table looks.

But you haven't won the League this year.

Not yet anyway.

Why would random posters prove an agenda ?

If the season is null and voided, it would mean that the club would miss out on the Champions League next season, which would likely have a negative effect in terms of our ability to get our preferred transfer targets, it could set us back years

I think you'd find that the fans of literally every other club in the country would give it a damn good go though.

It is still mathematically possible for you not to win it. Therefore a title can't be dished out on an assumption. Had you been mathematically clear, then fair. But nah. Sorry mate. 31 years it is.

C'mon, bite.

No I just think it's embarrassing the way that some people are suggesting Liverpool should be denied the title when it's obvious they were going to win it. I thought United were better than that.

And yet there's numerous fans wishing for that outcome. Go figure.

Why do the teams in the lower division get rewarded for a season that seemingly never happened but the teams in the top flight don't? No matter what happens there's gonna be some unhappy campers.

My wit's end
Gary Neville, footballing prophet, hater of scousers, destroyer of Valencia:

"United will a title before Liverpool"

Thus it was said.

I can promise you fans of every other club in England will also be telling you Liverpool didn't win the title.

It won't be just Utd fans laughing.

They don't end 30 years of pain and suffering based on probability, sorry.

Hey, it's not the end of the world, there's always next year.

You were going to win it but didn't. What's so hard to understand? If someone says they were going to pay you for a car but they never did would you still give them the car?

Voiding is a complete bullshit response that would only be driven by those with an agenda like Norwich, Bournemouth, Man Utd, Everton etc. A perfect excuse for teams who've been shit for the past 7-8 months while punishing teams who've actually been quality like Liverpool and Sheffield United.
Not voiding in the face of growing concern and medical and governmental advice and the example set by other governing sporting bodies around the globe would be just as much of a "bullshit response", the only difference being that that would be one being likely driven by those with a different, although no less self-interested, agenda to the teams you name; a team like Liverpool, for example.

That analogy doesn't work. A more realistic analogy would be if someone offered you a million pounds for your car but they were 20p short would you let them have it?

Liverpool will win the league this season, one way or the other.

If I were United fans I'd be more worried about the league stopping just when you've hit form. By the time it restarts, the likes of Spurs will have their attackers back.

This Liverpool shouldn't be given the league title despite being 25 points clear with 10 games to go is small time behavior. Is that really where United are at now?
