I guess it depends on what part of it. In Santa Clara everything seems to be going fine. Last time I was in Walmart, literally everyone was wearing a mask. When I go running or walking, and there are people coming from the other side of the road, always it is either me or them who change the path in order to keep the social distance. And I have yet to hear about the MAGA protests here.

Dallas, Texas.
I've heard Dallas is relatively liberal, still not too keen on moving to Texas. Will try some uni in Cali or drop the idea of moving to US altogether.
The DFW metroplex (aka DAFW with Arlington lumped in) is a mix-bag of ideology. It's changing in areas but Texas overall is hotbed of religious and political ideology. It's among of a handful of reasons that are keeping me from making the move back to my hometown, Fort Worth.
But as is with many overpopulated cities in the US, it tends to draw more open-minded persons and liberal ideologies so there is hope going forward.
If you want a definitive more liberal area in Texas do choose Austin.
