If you click on the negative reviews criticizing wokeness and look up who is reviewing them then a lot of them have no other reviews whatsoever; it's like they just joined metacritic to slam this one game and it's supposed agenda. The sad bastards

I'm about 3 or 4 hours into it. Really good so far. Already seen the spoilers because my friend wouldn't shut up about them. Feel like I'm robbed of some surprises. Least it's not everything. But never the less, I'm nervous after every moment.

Pretty much.

Anyway, about the game. It's fecking intense. The dodge button has already come in useful and clickers are still horrible. I've got to do a better job of preserving supplies though. Just gunned my way through a section and wasted twice as many bullets as was necessary.

I'll be down to just a fecking brick in no time at this rate.
Not a single one of those actually played it. I started playing like at 12 am Indian time yesterday and it's 9 pm here and I just reached Day 2. I am exploring a little bit but still this game is quite linear.

Me. It’s quite easy to be honest.
Yeah, I heard the game isn't particularly difficult. I think Hard just makes scavenging more relevant as items are a bit more scarce. The first game wasn't hard either, to be honest.

Yes changed it to survivor. Even that is not that tough.

Play with headphones. Sound is impressive.
Yeah on Xbox I have Dolby Atmos and some games sound absolutely fantastic. I was just thinking how good this game would sound via Dolby Atmos. Anyway, the sound in this game is superb.

Yeah I did the first one one grounded. Once you know how the ai behaves it really becomes irrelevant what difficulty you have it on.

So far the 'agenda' isn't a factor in this game at all. If you're mad at this, you should see Pornhub, those SJW bastards have an entire section of Lesbian and Gay content (or so I've heard) . They really went to far in pushing this agenda down my.. Uhm, pants.

Seriously though, this game is fecking brilliant. Pretending to hate it is fine. Just secretly play it anyway, no one will find out anyway.

I'm also playing on hard, it' s not hard so far. Im a very skilled keyboard warrior of course, which you can see from my posts.

User reviews on OC or Metacritic and even reviews from certain outlets, I don’t bother taking notice. The only few outlets I take notice are Eurogamer and Edge. Even then I don’t always agree with them. Just buy what you’d think that you would enjoy. It has to be proper bad to put me off a game. Something like 5/10 all round. Like that Haze game for PS3.
I actually enjoyed that game for some reason  I kinda liked the hole adrenalin type thing, and then turning into one of the mercenaries instead. Switching sides was kinda a cool thing back then

Played about an hour and half so far. Had to stop to get dinner done before the match later. But I didn't put down the controller in that time. Good stuff so far, got the hang of the stealth stuff so not mnay bullets wasted for me!

Managed to squeeze an hour in. Obviously, it’s hard to have much of an opinion after such a short session, but the game looks fantastic and I really do love Ellie as a character. I’m only at the part where:

You ride into that little town with Dina and I did some scavenging there. Then came across that carcass and went into that building where you kill that clicker (or whatever it is. Not sure if it was a clicker). Interested to see where they go with this Abby character though. I found that part interesting.

But I can’t wait to get back into it. Probably tomorrow now considering the football is on later.

Blows my mind how they can make games look that good even on the standard PS4. Might be even better looking than Horizon. The lighting is incredible.

have you got hdr on? What tv you playing it on? I’m really going to bite the bullet and get myself an OLED LG with all the bells and whistles. I was going to get one right before the lockdown but instead I got 2 Panasonic GX800 for my living room and my bedroom as I just had virgin tv put in both rooms. But now I’m left not using one tv very much at all and I’m still thinking about getting an OLED. So I think I’ll just bite the bullet and get LG C9 which is an incredible gaming tv. Got the lowest input lag found on tv and is gsync certified by Nvidia. Out of the box colour measurements nearly match Panasonic GZ2000.

Yeah same, trying to push political agendas down gamers throats is never going to go down too well. I'll probably wait until its remastered on PS5 to play this anyway, not in too much of a rush with my backlog on PC also.
Who's pushing the agenda though? The game makers who just created these characters and did it without sticking massive neon signs shouting "look how progressive we are?" Or the folk who see something they don't like and complain all over the internet about it, spam the comments of anything related to the game, and just generally come across as venomous little turds?

Played about an hour and stopped for the game. Really enjoying it so far. Might up the difficulty if that’s what people are recommending. The clickers are creepy as feck. Forgot about those.

I have an older one, but the current model looks amazing and somewhat future proof as these things go.

Regarding the game, spoilers are everywhere now. Be wary, my friends.

Yeah I think the C9 is even better than the newer CX, to my mind anyway. Certainly not worth the price difference. I’m torn between getting 55 or 65 inch model as I like playing FPS now and again but I think 65 might be too much to take in.

You have to take into account shrinkage once you have them.

Yeah I suppose but I’m playing on the 50 now and that’s plenty for me. Not sure I can handle 65. although watching my favourite box sets and football would be fecking lethal.

I got the LG C9 65 inch just last week and I absolutely love it. When I put on Death Stranding it was a night and day difference from the 1080p SDR TV I had before. Needless to say The Last o Us 2 is glorious on it. It's a lot of money but well worth it in my opinion.

Yeah the C9 is the lowest it’s going to be and the way I see it. I usually spend most of my time around tv. Whether it’s sports, games, Netflix, favourite box sets, YouTube. You may as well pay for the very premium. You’d do it for a phone so why not a tv?

10 hours through the game now. Gotta say it spooks and stresses me out at times, not quite as badly as Resident Evil 2 though. It's very good game though, definitely a worthy sequel. So far I don't find the story quite as good as the first but there is still a lot left and a lot other areas it improves on the first.

Is there a risk of screen burn with the C9? My little boy watches a lot of CBeebies that has the logo in the corner. Am I better off keeping away from OLED?

This tv looks amazing though.

What a coincidence! I just purchased the LG C9 about 5 mins ago from John Lewis. Opted for the 55 inch as the bedroom is too small for anything bigger. Cannot wait till it arrives! Built for next gen too

Not sure whether I’m going to get this now or wait for the inevitable PS5 remaster at Christmas.

Yeah the burn-in risk is always there with OLEDs, but you'd have to pretty much have that logo on screen for like 1000+ hours. If you don't go overboard with brightness, keep all the anti-retention measures turned on and don't leave it on unattended for long periods, I don't think it should ever become an issue.

I've made it to Seattle now and that forest area just before it is simply breathtaking. I've genuinely never seen anything that looks this good in video games, and that includes on PC. How are they getting this out of a PS4 Pro? It feels like it shouldn't be possible.

I don't think QLEDs get the burn in, but then they aren't as good with blacks. Mine isn't anyways, can see clouding sometimes, never noticed it on a game though. Works fine for games.

QLEDs don't have burn-in and can go a lot brighter, so if you're struggling to keep sunlight out, they're a better bet. I've never owned one so beyond seeing them side by side in some stores, I can't really judge the picture quality difference. Obviously you'll never get those perfect blacks you get with OLEDs.

Yeah I originally got mine because the sun was hitting it directly through the patio doors. Brilliant TV tbh
