De Gea and Maguire cost us there. Should've won but not the worst result in the world. Ole got it all wrong from the start. Much better football in the second although Spurs sat back and let us pass around. James simply cannot start against a team as tight defensively as Sheffield United, him and Fred were especially bad today so I was happy to see them get subbed off.

Rashford looked absolutely gassed, some really poor touches but can't blame him too much. Pogba has to be in the starting XI, that lineup when he and Greenwood came on should start on Wednesday (plus Bailly for Lindelof maybe)

Another opportunity blown. Can't be too hard on them given it's the first game back but huge improvement required

Decent point, I think most would have taken that before the game. I disagree with most, i think it was to be expected Pogba to start on the bench.

That said, Maguire was dreadful for the goal on the turn, and given DDG's saving grace is he's a "good shot-stopper" we really need to buck up in that area.

People will focus on James (i'm not saying he's brilliant btw) but he's an easy target and there were much bigger issues than him in that game.

Ole is really bad with tactics, why do u play James when Spurs in tight and compact? It is like giving the other team a handicap for 60 mins. De Gea? Maybe time to sell him.

Luke Shaw done everything possible to convince me Brandon William's deserves to start instead. Brandon always looks to attack and get the ball in. Shaw just passed it back to Maguire constantly. Very frustrating.

Looked decent second half could have won it. Sharpness missing obviously. Easier games to come.

Agreed, Martial and Rashford don't cut it
I guess you'd take Kane in the front 3 instantly? And then ask for replacement after similar game he had just now?

Rashford is coming off a double stress fracture, if you ever had spine injuries you'll know that psychologically it takes few steps from you at every sprint, which were the difference between him going 1v1 at least twice.

Same old Ole. I love him, but he does react too slow.
Indeed. The main issue here was his starting eleven in the first place. We knew Jose was going to sit back and play "pragmatic" football, so what did Ole do? Send out a lineup that wasn't conducive to breaking down the low-block. In fairness, Pogba was never going to play the full 90, but he should have made the Greenwood and Pogba changes at the half. It was clear as day the initial lineup wasn't working. We magically looked like a different side once they stepped onto the pitch.

Martial invisible but you always know he will pop up with something like in the second half. Dan James shouldn't start. Marcus had a bit of a shocker tonight. Need more from our attackers. This Spurs side were garbage, should've won really but i guess a draw will do.

1. Pogba should have started. Can someone post a video of all his wank worthy through balls. The dribble for the penalty... Jesus

2. Rashford was dreadful. Martial was better but slow footed

3. Maguire is so slow on the turn. He basically told Bergwin... "oh right go on mate". DDG should have saved it but the shot was hard. He also acquitted himself later on

4. Seemed for a while like Bruno was the only good player on the pitch

5. Mourinho did well I think, considering the circumstances.

Better team over the 90. Pogba needs to start. Could well have been three points if the two goalkeepers were reversed.

Predicted 1-1 and thought it would be tough. Think Spurs will end season well and push us and Chelsea. This scenario is made for Mourinho.

Only two more games against top half sides, but unfortunately, like tonight, it is in matches with the ball where we struggle. Going unbeaten to end the season won’t be enough in isolation for fourth. We probably need seven wins and at least 21 points from the final eight matches. Probably need to win the lot to not need anything on the final day at Leicester. That’s probably what is needed to have a chance of overhauling Leicester too.

That's a great almighty tussle and fight back from the lads. Like a runner coming from 6th on the final straight, taking silver...only to wish they'd began that sprint earlier!

So that's one for Ole to consider. I'm sure he's learnt or consolidated his opinion on one or two things today.

All in all a tough game in what are still strange circumstances. At least 1-1 is infinitely better than a loss, from which some pride and optimism can be taken; PogbackFernandes.....

I don't think McTominay is that good to be a surefire starter. Nor is Greenwood a great option out wide.

A draw is a big result for us. We lost tonight and we're in crisis mode again over that 5th spot that might be enough for a CL spot.

A piss poor performance from everyone except Pogba and Bruno. Greenwood decent too.

At the end with Pogba Matic and Bruno, it was just sheer quality. I do think we need another quality central defender and I still feel one of fred or Mctominay need to start every game.

However regardless of the three I have mentioned, Greenwood just seems to absolutely ooze quality and he seems to have Grown!

Fair result, lets build on this, it was very exciting at times.

He also gave Pogba an extensive warmup at HT, then waits about 20 minutes to bring him on :houllier:

Baffling.

Kind of what you expected considering we're being forced to play half fit glorified friendlies to keep the league's bank manager happy. We would never concede that goal in a normal season.
Have you seen DDG over the last year??

Fair result that. Could argue we'd have won it if we'd had a little more in the tank, but same could be said about Spurs seeing it out.

What's really depressing is that, assuming they beat Brighton, we're only 3 points ahead of Arsenal. Let that sink in considering how shite they are. Really puts our season in perspective.

Good game. Bad error from Maguire and DDG definitely could have done better but other than that it was a good game and fair result.

Thought we played well.

Still need a resolution to our right hand side.

Bruno and Pogba have to play at the same time.

Same problems, but good to see Pogba back. Rashford had moments but evidently lacking sharpness.

Maguire and De Gea let us down for the first goal, and the latter really should be capable of getting a stronger hand to it.

I think 5th is a certainty, unless Chelsea struggle with some of the current squad morale diminishing because they know they won't be playing next season!

We probably should have won, but I will take the draw. Overall I felt the game played into Mourinho’s hands for the most part, we were the team in possession and they were the counter attacking side. They got a goal that was very avoidable on our part and we were up very vulnerable there after for the rest of the first half. Second half we were much better, we created 3 or 4 very good chances and deserved our goal. We should have won it with Greenwood at the end, who I thought was superb when he came on.

Bruno wasn’t perfect and he was wasteful at times but he is my man of the match, he was a leader on this game and very creative and a massive goal threat throughout. Also impressed with Greenwood and Pogba (apart from that stupid dangling leg) who were very good going forwards when they came on. De Gea obviously gets the blame for the goal alongside Maguire, but was also annoyed with Martial who should have scored but was anonymous mostly. Also worth noting how exposed we were in full back positions, Shaw and Wan Bissaka had a tough game.

Can't agree with that - I thought Luke Shaw had a good game.

Happy we managed to get something in the end I didn't think it was going to be our night.

Pogba and Bruno class should have took all 3 pts typical Jose cowardly set up, but not too disappointed overall.

Not sure how people think we deserved the win. We had one shot on target other than the penalty. They had one shot on target as well.

Tottenham cut through our midfield with ease to get near our box. We were fortunate that Lamela had such a bad final ball or they could have a one-on-one with De Gea three times tonight.

They only played defensive for ten minutes or so, but adapted well to Pogba. But, you cannot consistently stop a player of Pogba's quality.

Rashford was pretty anonymous, McTominay was awful, Maguire was poor, De Gea poor, Shaw was not great.
