People are just waiting to complain about a player or the performance when it's clear it's game over and keeping a clean sheet is important. Just let them play and be a little looser the fact that the result is a formality.

Really glad the players were able to rest a little more and they kept their concentration up to keep a clean sheet.
Exactly, If we can win every game within 60 minutes so we can dick about for the last 30 I'll have zero complaints. Conserving energy /game management is crucial at the moment.

Literally I’m excited to watch this team week in week out. Not said that in a while.

We are creating quite a bit more now, fair play to Bruno and Pogba.

We are dominating with that first XI in that we also are a threat - not just holding the ball. Brighton looked like they were going to give it a go in the 2nd half and not too long ago we would have caved into a shell. That ball from Matic to Greenwood and then to top it off with a perfect ball to Bruno - wow !

Being spoilt right now but, I really want to see a game where all 3 of our forwards are having a really on game - we'd probably rack up even more goals.

Bruno’s English is better than I expected too. Certainly better than my Portuguese.
Makes it easier for him to communicate with his teammates and staff which can only help us.

(It does slightly annoy me when the reporters ask questions of non native English speakers using other than standard English.)

What did Bruno say in the post match interview?
They asked him about him and Paul, as always. He said that it's not fair to talk about him and Paul, talked about some of the subs, saying that everyone basically is pushing everyone, even him and Paul are pushing each other. Basically saying that the team comes first and anything else is less important. That everyone is giving everything to the club.

One of the best performances this season. Totally dominant and comfortable, with some brilliant scintillating football when needed. And all without getting into top gear and being able to rest all our key attacking players.

Supercredits to Bruno, Greenwood and Shaw.

We've won 3-0 away from home and our joint highest scorers didn't have great games. That's progress and then some.

Brilliant game from us.

A mostly good performance. Still not at our best, mind. Both Rashford and Martial weren't that involved.

I also don't think we should be too critical of the strength of our five subs given you'd never change that many in a normal game and in such a short amount of time. It really ruins all rhythm although you can see why Ole would do it.
Which goes to show how strong we are, when last could both of them have quiet games and we win 3-0? That's a big sign we're moving in a really good direction attack wise, goals are coming from everywhere.

Fantastic performance at a ground we haven’t been great at the past two seasons. Killed the game and got some key players some rest, hopefully we can keep this going.

Leading 3-0 again at 60 mins means we can take some players off. This should give us an advantage after a few game weeks of this mad period. Our next games are Bournemouth, Villa and Southampton. No chance they can do the same.

To see us playing that way is so exciting. I'm so happy for Ole. I'm hoping Woodward liked what he saw from the stands and backs him this summer. They are building something special there.

Starting to think United are building something special.

I haven't felt this way about a United squad since we had RvP under SAF.
Starting to swallow my Ole out pill, I think I agree with you. A few signings and I think we can challenge for the top.

So comfortable, weren't great after the subs but we'd already done the job.

That second Bruno goal was classic United.

Yup that's exactly my point.
We had 2/3 of our front three being fairly quiet and still ended up cruising. Earlier in the season that could very well have been a nervy 1-0 where we might have dropped points in the end.
I'm optimistic.

It is fantastic to have so many goal scorers in the team. Hope Pogba and Rashford get back to their scoring habits soon. Shout out to Wan Bissaka who has immensely improved his attacking game. Future is indeed bright.

Exactly. They don't have to carry the burden like they were earlier in the season where United were completely dependent on them. Martial was closely marked around the box, but he was pressing a lot more and dropped deeper when he could to link play or get on the ball. Rashford still isn't near anywhere his best, but he's making a few good passes and playing for the team if it's not coming off for him. They can feel their way through matches and contribute in other ways knowing that the scoring and creating burden is shared right now.

It's been great viewing when this XI start. That is the best XI we have to be honest.

Bruno and Pogba ran the show
Matic played a great support to them
Greenwood did his 'Regen Van Persie' routine
Defence looked solid

Probably the most exciting we've been in this post Sir Alex era. Utd is starting to shave off that toxic, dysfunctional atmosphere tag it's been having and is probably more enticing to prospective players again.

I swallowed mine just before lockdown, we started to resemble a proper United side when Fernandes came in and now, it's even better. Sancho, Grealish, Pogba new contract and we'll challenge next season.

Kudos has to go to our coaching set up also, they've also done a brilliant job setting us up tactically and making sure we found a way to beat the low block.

That was really good, possibly the most assured dominant performance I've seen from us away from home in years? So many stand out performers, Ole's at the wheel :keano:

Arguably the best performance this season. Bruno, Greenwood, Matic and Maguire brilliant but Bruno is as warm as your bum crack, he’s like the fecking terminator, he just doesn’t stop.

I think I love him.

I don't typically comment in post match threads (or at all really tbh) as I never really see the need but I will take this opportunity to share my enthusiasm with what has been an ultimately fantastic and confident performance. That midfield trio of Pogba, Bruno and Matic looks absolutely lethal. Greenwood looks more impressive every time I see him play. Honestly that kind of performance took me right back to the routine wins we'd have when Fergie was in his pomp and we had the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez up front. As for the last half hour, at 3-0 up, I fully expected both Bruno and Pogba to be taken and I also fully expected the team overall to lose its momentum which it quite expectedly did. Watching the last half hour may have been anticlimactic but crucially it allowed us to save legs for what is going to be a bit of a brutal run-in, not in terms of teams we'll be facing, but more in terms of the amount of matches we'll be going through in such a short space of time. Given that we lost our tempo at the end, it identifies what we still need to work on. We have a strong first 11 but now we need to look at filling the squad with genuine quality all round, lest we expect Bruno to play about 60 games a season. TBH though, even at the end, it still looked like a replicate of the kind of finishes we'd have years again when rather than trying to hit teams for 5 or 6, we'd take off important players and generally see the game out, even ceding possession to the opposition and sitting in sometimes to run the clock out while not looking too troubled. If we can hit that point where we can consistently rest crucial players while seeing matches through, I think we'll be in a good place. Overall though, an excellent result and a good sign of things to come.

We thrashed two teams in a row in PL. first time since ....?
Fergie, probably :(

Part of me thinks about how poor Brighton looked and how depleted Sheffield United have looked since the resumption but there's no chance we'd have won both of those games by three goals earlier in the season. This team has definitely progressed, Bruno is a big part of it but others areas are looking much better too.

Our midfield is outstanding. Don't think we've dominated 2 league games in a row since SAF.

Glad Greenwood got a goal. Hoping Rashford gets one next game as he hasn't been great since coming back, bodes well that we're slicing through teams with a low block without relying on a bit of individual skill from him.

turned into a routine win. Quality personnel In midfield is everything, when we took Pogba and bruno off we huffed and puffed like earlier in the season.

was a vocal critic of matic earlier in the season but he has put in Some good performances. Think we are in the ascendency and have some favourable fixtures For collecting maximum points if we are to keep sweeping these sort of teams aside
Matic always a class act. That midfield three is sexy. Good of course to see Greenwood sparkle. Shaw plating great. I love AWB. Harry - formidable. Lindelof was decent. To be negative after a display like that seems a bit daft. Just a little more football smarts from James and Rashford?

Another thing: BHA not being the greatest of opponents notwithstanding, we scored 3 goals in a Prem match without Martial or Rashford being credited. That’s something.

Matic - What the hell has happened with him? The early part of the season he was the world's most useless man, now he's playing Scholes passes without even looking and then casually sprinting back to outpace the opposition striker when they're about to be through on goal in the 80th minute. He'd gotten better before the break but he wasn't playing like this. In fact I've never seen him play like this. They've been doing experiments on him or something.

Pogba - It was nice of him to start playing for Brighton after it was 3-0...although he was good enough up until then that I can actually forgive him. I feel sorry for McTominay and Fred but Matic and Pogba have both suddenly decided to kick themselves up the arse and you can't drop either of them at the moment.

Bruno - Honestly it's just confusing at this point. He's so obviously so much class that it's now not just baffling why we didn't get him in the summer, it's baffling why we ever had the chance before someone better snapped him up.

Rashford - RUbbish Rashford still strangely looks obviously better than anyone else we can play on the left.

Greenwood - I'm not even sure there is a rubbish Greenwood.

Shaw - Somewhere a bookies is going bankrupt because people keep putting money on Luke Shaw to be booked in the seconfd half

Pogba-Maguire backheel show on edge of own box - Don't do this you idiots.

The first half and third goal - That was class. Honestly think that's the best we've looked all season. There was just zero doubt we wouldn't win comfortably. Until it was 3-0 you'd struggle to find a mistake or poor pass.

Delighted with that performance and result against an opponent that has looked pretty good since the restart. 1st half in particular, we were just in complete control from minute one and some of the football we played was just a joy to watch. Pogba and Bruno are just getting better and better every time they step onto that pitch, Matic is back to his best, another AWB assist, Shaw looked brilliant at LB once again, our defence looks water tight solid & Greenwood is just such a natural talent who is only just going to get even better. That 3rd goal was Man Utd in a nutshell. So many positives to take from that.

My MOTM is Mason Greenwood.

That was a superb performance tonight, very professional and entertaining. We really do have a superb first XI now, with some good back up players in Romero, Williams, Bailly, Fred, McTominay and Ighalo. Buy Sancho this summer and we will be set for a title challenge next season. Massive credit to OGS and his staff for such a turnaround in just 18 months.

That 3rd goal reminded me a bit of Ronaldo's goal against Arsenal at the Emirates in the CL in 2009. Pogba and Bruno will get the plaudits. But let's not forget Matic tonight. Another solid game from him. Another assist for AWB. Some good saves from De Gea and another clean sheet (10th for the league)
Really pleasing performance. especially that first 65 minutes.

Been saying all season that you could see something is building, even during the shitty periods. Bruno Fernandes seems to have had a great impact to the rest of the squad as well in terms of confidence.
Great performance. Midfield trio were excellent. What a goal from by Greenwood as well. Reminded me of fat Ronaldo dare I say it!
Finally enjoying the football again. When’s the next match?!?!

Bruno, Pogba & Matic is one of the best midfields in world football.

Bruno has taken us by the scruff of our necks & elevated everyone around him. Cantona like impact.

Martial, Rashford, & Greenwood are as good a front 3 as anyone's.
Pogba, Bruno & Matic as good a midfield 3 as anyone's.
Now sort out that back 4 Olé.

Genuinely look forward to every game now. We are building something great. I don't even know if we need Sancho at this point. I would bring in a box to box midfielder and another creative midfielder for depth as well as a shaw replacement.

Great performance and I genuinely don't remember the last time we had two easy wins on the bounce where you just know we're going to win. I guess Ole's first winning spell but before that...

As for the game, I love Greenwood's presence on the ball. It just looks effortless. Keep playing him and he'll score goals. And they're not just insignificant ones at 3-0 or 4-0. He set the tone today.

Exactly, If we can win every game within 60 minutes so we can dick about for the last 30 I'll have zero complaints. Conserving energy /game management is crucial at the moment.
Totally. If we ever needed a win in 60 minutes, it's now. That's if we want to challenge for FA cup as well.
