Leroy Sane is a far better player than Marcus Rashford. Sorry but this argument can only exist on a Manchester United forum.
Also Sane has played predominantly as a pure winger, hugging the touchline more often than cutting inside whiles Rashford has been playing as an inside forward or striker. Comparing their goal stats is a bit disingenuous and probably favours Sane rather considering the fact that Rashford was your main penalty taker before Bruno came in and Sane never has been.
But this is football and being out for a whole season is enough time for football fans to forget how good a young player not playing for their favorite team really is.
Sane hasn't played barely a game for almost a year, whereas Rashford has come on a lot.
I wouldn't say anything for sure about Sane right now.

That is lower than I expected, thought his wage demands would be closer to 250k a week. With this and Fernandes being on 100k a week, I'm glad to see that we're no longer giving new signings absurd wages before they've shown anything for us.

Dortmund will demand 100m and we will likely get him for 90m odd plus add ons.
And then sky sports will lazily throw around that we paid £200M any time he's referenced after the purchase

Pretty sure Bruno will get a new deal soon enough if he keeps this up.

It seems very common for players to just agree terms with other clubs before any bids are even launched
Isn’t that partly what an agent is for though and effectively why they exist: so that the player can agree terms via a 3rd party without any direct contact with the prospective club?

Kinda makes sense though, you have to sound out the player to make sure he actually wants to join. You don't want to agree a fee only to find out the player isn't interested in a move.

Pretty much, you don't usually launch the bid until the agreement with the player is done in principle in these types of deals. Of course you get permission to speak to the player and the agent lets the selling club know the bid is in coming.
Official bids are the last step in the process. United obviously been talking to Dortmund and player etc

Would be pointless launching a bid and having it accepted only to find out the player has no interest joining your club or their wages will be unaffordable

Duncan Castles' reliability is rock bottom. He was kinda okay for Mendes/Mourinho stuff but even towards the end of Mourinho's time here he was very unreliable.

Yeah, but he's reporting things I want to hear so as far as I'm concerned he's basically tier 0.

Bruno is on 100k? Insane transfer. Those who keeps saying Utd are clueless in transfers, should make a reality update. The committee thing works, thank God. There’s no need in Football Director.

Sure, prioritise Saka’s deal ahead of the biggest move in the transfer window, c’mon Duncan
To be fair Sancho's potential deal is likely to drag on for a while so it makes sense to get this out the way first.

If you listen to the podcast he also says he expects it to be a long drawn-out transfer as united won’t be prepared to spend huge money on him.
If it's true that Sancho has agreed terms, United will have the upper hand here, amongst other reasons i.e. COVID 19. If you have the player on side chances are he's coming to you.

I have to ask, is it actually legal to contact the player before a fee is agreed? Or can you do it in a sneaky way just to speed up when you agree the fee?
I always thought Clubs aren't allowed to talk to players without permission from the Club the player is contracted to. Unless they're about to be out of contract.
