I just saw the Vardy goal. Didn't he dive two-footed for it? Is that allowed?

Bournemouth signed Solanke, Danjuma, Rico and Jefferson Lerma for nearly 80m.

The foreign fans on here must look at what the likes of them (And Villa) do and wonder why they just don't invest more in proper scouting systems
This needs repeated many times, especially in the Eddie Howe thread. It isn’t just money wasted on aver age players like Villa have done. It’s money wasted on absolute rubbish.

Unacceptable and middling clubs would be wise to look at it before thinking of him.

Aren't they bankrolled by a billionaire? They've been spending more than their means long before they reached the Premier League.
With their capacity, they will. This is a club that has been going a while. They aren't some plastic club and have always bounced around the lower tiers of English football and they will again. It's been a great journey staying in, and goodness knows how they've survived with the shocking investments they've made but they will somehow again.
If they bounce back straight away they have a chance but I doubt they will. A lot of their squad is still League 1 quality. If they don't come up again next year I don't think it will be pretty.

Jeff Mostyn? Rich, yes but I'm not sure he's a billionaire. He's chair of a consortium that owns the club I think

Mad how Eddie Howe not too long ago was touted for bigger jobs and was perceived to have a future at a higher level, but now he'll quite likely never manage a Premier League game again.

Where's Josh King? Fecker is always on hand to score against us.

Solanke is different level shite. The likes of McGoldrick give you something decent even if not prolific goalscorers but Solanke is the Harry Winks of strikers.

How was Solanke a talent at youth level? He's extremely underwhelming to say the least.

Solanke is never, ever, ever scoring another Premier League goal.

How the FECK did we lose to this Bournemouth side? Our worst defeat this season?

Solanke would be judged differently if he were a midfielder or wide player. Very good at carrying the ball forward. Problem is he doesn't do anything else

If they come up again next season, they'll be made up and I doubt if their fans would care less

Solanke is strange. Excellent record at England youth levels, won the best player when they won the U-20 tournament and now only has 1 goal in 59 PL games. I know some youth players don't cut it when they reach senior level but that is a massive drop in performance.

It's even weirder because usually in cases like his the issue is that he's too physically dominant at youth level and then he loses that at pro level

But he's still fairly physically dominant even in the PL. He just isn't a striker

Because we were not great then and Bournemouth were still motivated. Now they have just given up. In a way it is lucky for them there is no crowd in that stadium.

Yeah instead of being viewed as a shite striker he'd be viewed as a shite winger or midfielder.

But i mean, what he does is fairly valuable for his team. Just not so much from a striker who's supposed to set up and score
