Not a chance. Take KDB out, and they are struggling massively currently.
Just turned over Liverpool 4-0. Nothing left to play for in the league. They'll be a huge danger when the CL resumes

We were well beaten and deserved to be beaten but we weren't with it at all. It would have been a different match if we'd had something to play for. Not suggesting we would have definitely won, but I would be surprised if they'd have beaten us as comprehensively.
When City come up against sides in the Champions League who are as desperate to win as they are, they won't have as easy a game of it as they did against us.

Are they just mentally out of it, after their two previous very dominant seasons?
They can crush just about everyone on their day, but then they have games like these..

The only reason he's staying for 20-21 is because he wants to honour the contract with his arabian friends and Txiqui/Soriano in particular. Pep hasn't attempted an squad rebuild in 10 years (not with Barça, not with Bayern).

I can't see this City knocking out Juve or Bayern in the upcoming UCL Final8.

What other challenges are there for him apart from Juve? I’m pretty sure he’s already said that for his philosophy to work he needs the best players in the work and for him to have the cash he wants to spend there’s not too many options presuming he’d never work for Real or United. Inter could also become an option as they have been splashing the cash of late and he if really wanted a simple ride I guess he could be tempted by PSG?

Not going anywhere at the moment. Pretty sure they will win the league next season too.

Today was weird but there's nothing for them to care about in the league anyway to be fair.

Ah here Liverpool were on the piss most of the week you’d imagine and have zero to play for. Would have been obviously a close game if the title was still up for grabs.

He needs to find a way to motivate the team again, the big difference this season has been lethargy. The intensity in the press has been sorely lacking this season 90% of the time. Lots of players phoning it in when the chips are down, not up for the fight.

Why would he be about to get sacked? He's about to surpass United's 99 side:

For me, winning your domestic league and the Champions League in the same season is what would put Pep above or level with Ferguson's 98/99 & 07/08 sides. Currently I think both of those sides achieved better in one season than Pep's City.

In terms of just the Premier League, I think getting 100 points puts city on top. They won the most points at the end of the day.

I did, although it's mathematically possible, I can't see City loosing so many points the rest of the season.
That's not the point which was made though was it? We are 3 points behind Leicester, do you think we can overtake them? Leicester are 8 points behind City, do you think they can overtake them? Of course it's mathematically possible for us to overtake City, although unlikely, but it could happen. Were Liverpool* pronounced champions* before they had an unassailable lead, no, so City aren't guaranteed 2nd and this statement, is incorrect, which was my original point:

Man City are second place and cannot move down to third place during this season

“No reason for gloom lads! Despite losing 9 times in the league, all we have to do is win a competition we have never won, beating 3 of the best teams in Europe in the process and the season is saved! Oh, and win the FA Cup too!

If we do that, we will have bettered a team who managed to do all of that and win the league at the same time (the one we are 23 points behind in)“

Absolute rubbish. Journalist should be embarrassed no matter how much he got paid to write it.

The CL ban... how does that affect Pep's future?

Does he have an out if there is a ban?
He has said he is staying whatever the outcome. This though could be down to the top brass telling him everything was in order in regards to their financial affairs & that the outcome of the investigation would go in their favor. I don't believe for 1 minute that Pep is foolish enough to believe that they are innocent. If they manage to get off on a technicality though then he'll be happy enough with this.

If they are found guilty then this will give him an out. He can say he planned to see out his contract but the club lied to him. He won't want to stay if they are out of the CL as this will have a big impact in regards to signings, transfer budget & PL sanctions.

Not in a happy mood, demands an apology!

Doesn't want to get drawn into his future either.

Feck off Pep! You’s got where you’s are through dodgy sponsorships and spunking over a Billion. Don’t get on the high horse now because CAS overturned the ban due to UEFA not doing their due diligence and the evidence being time barred. Wonder how much this cnuts getting paid off the books? A fair bit more than Mancini I’d imagine.

It’s hilarious how they portray themselves as some sort of plucky underdogs in all of this

What an absolute fecking idiot.

The main issue is/was whether City's commercial deals are genuine and at fair value; the leaked evidence proved there not. Funny how Pep's chosen to completely ignore this fact.

A bloke this insecure really shouldn't have joined a club run by a corrupt state. This just comes off as pathetic. Poor little maligned Man City, so hard done by
