Fernandihno in as a striker, only for fullbacks to put crosses in and have your centerbacks to take pot shots from 25yards. No wonder Arsenal are making the defending look easy.

Just had a look at City’s bench. Can’t think of anyone on there that can change a game other than Bernardo Silva.

I think selling Sané was a mistake. Unless they’re planning to get Sancho in.
It would be stupid for them to buy Sancho. They need a new CB and a new CF to replace Aguero. Foden and Bernardo Silva looks to replace David Silva.

Whether it be Kane, Cavani on a free, Martinez, Neymar, whatever. Aguero's heir will be critical in City's future success because Jesus is not going to win them anything no matter how good KDB, Bernardo Silva, Foden, Mahrez, etc are.

Luiz having one of his 10/10s, unfortunately for Arsenal they're about as common as Leap Years

Deserved win for Arsenal built on good defensive work. Citys own cause not helped by defending dreadful themselves. I said United would beat City if they played them in the final i'm less sure about Arsenal if they defend as well as tonight.

Thats 11 defeats for City this season even watching them tonight it was clear to see why they coudn't mount a title challenge and handed the title to that other crowd with 7 games to spare.

De Bruyne has been levels above his teammates for City this season. Not quite a one man team but it’s got to be a big concern for them.
Great player but always seems to bottle it in the big games for me. Maybe I'm mistaken but I couldn't say he's the sort who would carry the team through.

Against Liverpool in the champions league last season for example.

For all the plaudits he gets, he is not a big game player for me.

I think our front 3 would tear this Arsenal side apart. City just hoofing hopeful balls into midgets. It was too easy for them to sit back and defend.

It would be a tight match if we make it to the final.

arteta has them playing with confidence and they are much more organised now.

I wonder if the team sheet has changed now that its the gooners in the final

They’ll probably pass on Kane and Neymar due to injury history. Cavani is a good shout but might be too old. Also can’t see Mourinho giving up a star man to Pep. Someone said Ferran Torres has been linked? Personally think Haaland and Sancho would give this City team a massive lift and a completely different dimension. 200mil for both probably but FFP is no longer relevant right.

Christ Arteta or Lampard are going to win a trophy before Ole aren't they and you can then just imagine what will be written
The media are going to write clickbait stuff regardless of what happens. Fans of other clubs are going to deride United regardless of what happens. All that matters is our own progression. Once we get back into Europe, which would signal a definite improvement in terms of league finishing from last season, that's all that matters for us. Frank or Arteta winning an FA cup means very little in the grand scheme of things. Added to that, we still have a great chance to win the Europa league, which is a more valuable trophy IMO.

At least it will be a new manager winning a trophy this season, the fraud Pep will have to go spend another half a billion to win his next trophy.

So refreshing to see Arsenal beat money grabbers City. A United Arsenal final would stepped in history, also payback for 05.

It could have been a league one side out there beating City or Arsenal and I would still want Ole to rest the starters tomorrow.

Interesting there's just been a viagra advert on the TV. Fitting after such an impotent City performance.

i had strongly advocated we rest entire first XI tomorrow in match thread but think Arsenal in final is too good an opportunity to resist.

maybe play DDG, AWB, Maguire, Matic, Pogba and Rashford and fill in around that.
Maguire has played every minute and looked knocked out for a while last match. AWB was leggy as fook, probably his worst game for us. Pogba and Rashford are also playing a lot having come back from injuries, Matic cannot do more than a game a week if he's to be effective. I don't mind Dave playing, but Romero owns the cup games I guess. All these lads need resting. I don't even want to see them on the bench. It's not about disrespecting the FA Cup, it's the painfully obvious fact that we've got too many must-win games in too short a period, with no real quality depth.

If people are saying throw them all in tomorrow, then to my mind, they're saying let's risk the CL for next season.
