Need to get at them second half we’ve not been at the races. Greenwood and Pogba to be introduced on the hour.

He's basically an expensive Jonny Evans.

But his fans will convince you that we're talking about replacing Rio in his prime whenever people say we need an upgrade on him.
Basically they big him up on two things: one on one defending (when someone is running at him, NOT crosses), and his passing game.

    Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Hence why we should have gone with a completely fresh team - under strength for sure, but giving our key players needed rest. But I've been reading on here that all it takes to get back to full fitness is "wanting to play".
Absolutely correct, as you and myself were saying before the game even started.

Instead we'll likely lose this game and very likely lose at least 1 of our most important players for the run in.

It's so naive and so fecking obvious.

Lampard and Chelsea cynical but ruthless - rest your most important player and kick the feck out of your Top 4 rivals.

Must been licking their lips when they saw a knackered Bruno on the starting sheet...

West Ham and Moyes will also be licking their lips watching this, make no mistake.

As said before, I love James. However, he has been utterly dogshit today and in many other games too. All he’s contributed to the game has been one sharp run behind Azpilicueta, and even so, he then passed it backwards.

It's the next level for him to reach - play like a dominant team against good level opposition. He's handled playing like the underdog with a counter attacking setup. Bruno and Pogba helped him figure out how to open up deep defenses, but this is the next level for him to go for. If we're to have a good season next season, that's 100% what needs to happen.
Hopefully. If we see Pogba and Greenwood join Matic, Bruno, Rashford and Martial here, we should see signs of being able to do so already.

It not being a pen doesn't change the fact it was a clear and obvious foul. There've also been 6 or 7 other bookable offences that have gone unpunished.

Those defending De Gea are missing the point. Nobody is expecting him to make a reflex save at that distance but his body shape has to be so much better. He's conceded 3 or 4 soft goals recently with this weird, kneeling, side on shape. That ball is straight at him and he's nearly got out of the way of it.

This place gets overly toxic. There is still 45. It's one goal.
It’s because we all saw it coming, entirely predictable. Too many changes , changing formation too & another shite loss to those Chelsea cnuts. Just so disappointing, we could’ve given them a proper game if set up correctly

I mean is it really that bad if we lose this one? Only thing that would annoy me is we've tried our lads out further. The FA Cup isn't anything special anymore. It'd give us a breather between the end of the PL season and the Europa League campaign.

Anyone just spot Arteta do the forearm bump with Pep then do a double high five hand grab with the next guy?

Since when? Buendia got a red card for raising his arm last night thanks to VAR. I don't know where you heard that VAR can't intervene outside the box but it is not true.
It can only be used for red card situations, which is laughable imo.

IDK, Lindelof is what he is. A mediocre CB that would be ok as a bench option, but never the regular starter. That's not news.

The rest of it is due to Ole deciding to change the system coupled with our rotational players not being good enough.

Wrong system, wrong lineup, wrong gameplan. Ole changed something which worked and decided to go as underdog. Rashford and James have no link between them at all. Bruno first time plays in 352 with us. AWB and Williams are not wing backs.

We have 45 minutes left. If Ole changes things at half time we can still win this

He offers no physical resistance to strikers running past him. Or out jumping him. Or out muscling him. He manages to look completely weightless.
Physical resistance? So you’d prefer him to foul Giroud and give a penalty away then...

It’s clever play from a good striker. Lindelöf still slow to react but that’s Giroud’s bread and butter. He’s made a career out of movement like that.

    Lindelof is so weak.
I got torn apart for criticising him all season long. He is bang average and should not be partnering Maguire next year. Especially not as an automatic selection.

There is no competition due to injuries on Axel and Bailly.

lindelof is weak and not a top level defender. Squad player he is fine.

    Keown on top form.

Watches Chelsea's defence play it amongst themselves for 5mins and declares that they are dominating.

And then for no reason ruins the Leicester result from earlier for anyone trying to avoid it.
They did dominate us in that half. Shocking.

Who cares about announcing the Leicester result. He can be a bit of a tool sometimes, But he’s not done anything here.

Only the Bruno free kick. Other than that, I don’t think we’ve even been in there box. Surely we can’t play any worser than that.
TBF I don't remember them having any other threat bar the goal.

It was an awful half but they managed something out of it which is shame.

I was more confident of us winning this in second half with 0-0 but now not so sure. Hopefully just not an extra time please. Win or lose in the 90 minutes.

VAR can intervene for red card incidents but not for free kicks unless it's a red, I don't think you can call a ball bouncing up like that and not under control a clear goal scoring opportunity. It's clearly a free kick and probably a yellow but VAR doesn't give those (presumably because they would be interfering continually).
If he knocks the ball away and runs into goal it’s a scoring chance. Zouma fouled him as he got to the ball first.

    they’ve bottled it simple.

May as well go for it now. With Martial and Rashford on the pitch, we just need to get the ball to them. There will be chances and I think we'll score with those two on the pitch, provided we give them service.

BBC are a holy joke. They are so, so incompetent at their jobs that they really don't deserve rights to any games. There is no preparation, no professional, no apparent knowledge of the game considering they've all played at the top level.
Doesn't help they give so much time to the likes of Ashley Cole or Phil Neville who we know dont have two braincells to rub together.

James continues for the second half. 2 lots of substitutions left. Ole will rue that decision I think.
