I'm actually worried here that we will end up in a kind of scenario akin to Barca v PSG or Liverpool v Barca in the CL, by beating West Ham with several goals. The kind of scenario where a team thinks "Surely we can't feck this up now!", and once signs start to show of it actually being possible, they just crumble completely under pressure, with the other team motivated by doing the "impossible".
Especially considering the mental fragility we have demonstrated over the past years.

Our full backs and midfield in defence will be critical as Moyes will pump long balls down the channels to try to get crosses in, and there will be runners coming from deep. Thankfully, our best LB is injured and our RB and DM are absolutely knackered after Ole gave them another 80-90 minutes each on Sunday.

I just hope our front 3 have enough in them to score a couple of goals early, and lets be honest West Ham's defence is poor. A lot will come down to whether our midfield can control the ball early on and settle ourselves.

A draw wouldn't be the end of the world by any means, it would give us a bit of safety against Leicester knowing we''d only need a draw with them to get a CL spot. I still think United will have too much quality for West Ham. Leicester is the bigger concern but one step at a time.

For some reason I thought and hoped this match was on Thursday. Well it’s got to be the full first 11 hasn’t it. Only possible absentee I assume is Shaw.

West Ham is in a very bad shape. We need pacy players such as Martial, Rashford and Mason to play the full 90 min. The player I'm not 100% convinced who should play is Maguire. Not because he had a bad game or anything. He's been playing every single minute of the past few games and with that knock on his head, I'm not sure if it's a good idea for him to play.
West Ham are actually playing well, and in Antonio they have a real in-form striker.

As long as he passes any protocols, Maguire absolutely has to play, he’s captain, the club’s best centre half, and also clear leader of the defence and organiser.

I have no idea where people are getting the thought that this match is simply about how many the team scores. Total banana skin if the team doesn’t work it’s socks off.

Normally, this should have been an easy win but West Ham are bang in form, while we are looking like we are running out of steam. It was a bad defeat at the weekend, but we need to bounce back as this is a must win match!

    Romero
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams
    Pogba McTominay Bruno
    Greenwood Martial Rashford
Changes are simple, go back to our normal system but bring in McTominay as Matic played on Sunday, Williams plays again and would pick Romero over De Gea due to recent mistakes. The aim is of course to win, but if at all possible, try to win big, if we put in a ruthless display in front of goal tomorrow night, we can probably afford to lose by 1 goal on Sunday in order to qualify (of course, I really don't want it to come to that!).

Why would you want it on Thursday? We would play Leicester 3 days after.

If Ole rested the players on Sunday then none of this would have mattered. But he ended up doing nothing.

So frustrating. I didn’t mind throwing on Pogba and Martial as second half subs to chase the game. But Bruno, Matic, WanB, Rashford playing the majority of that game wasn’t ideal at all.

So if we win this game we qualify for Champs league right?
If we we win this game we only need a point on the last day to guarantee UCL.
If we draw this game we only need a point on the last day to guarantee UCL.
If we lose this game we must win on the last day to guarantee UCL.

Bonus (if we decide to really turn up):
If we win 3-0 Leicester would have to beat us by 2 clear goals
If we win 5-0 Leicester would have to beat us by 3 clear goals

Surely this team cannot feck up 2 ‘must not lose’ games right? What are the chances we draw our last two games? It would fit well with a lot of previous years where we limp over the line and pass out figuratively speaking, rather than finishing strong.

I wanna see a confident and hungry team go all in immediately from kick off. Let's put 5 in their net... If so we can even afford a 0-2 loss vs Leicester

Such a shame we've not taken the opportunity to rest players to get them fresh for this match. Can't see how we can line up any other way than the recent first XI, with Williams (if he's OK, which I doubt) coming in for Shaw.

Not really sure about de Gea.

This is probably a time where we could use Pep's nutritionists.

Yeah i can't wait for 10 a.m. although i'll have to watch it on dvr as i've to work.
Same here in CO. Drives me crazy knowing it’s over but have to wait. The only ”good” thing is that there is little chance of spoilers if I stay off the interwebs.

I am sure Moyes will try to get them fired up but in the back of all the players mind they already know they are safe. Score early and they will start thinking about being on crutches during their short break v on the beach and maybe we can score 3 or 4. Let them stay in the game through the first half and...

I think the only advantage they have is a couple extra days rest. I think superior talent, playing at home and desperation gives United the edge. 4-1
