So that'll be around 40 mil with the English passport and Man United taxes included. Wow. From Sancho to Brooks. Underwhelmed doesn't even begin to describe it.
Sancho is English as well and has an English passport and Utd tax?

Good player and I think he’s more a Lingard/pereira alternative than Sancho alternative. Would be good business to bring him in provided the fee is reasonable.

Honestly be more than happy to add him to the squad. Offers something our current squad doesn’t, Young and knows the league too.

As long as the fee is sensible around £20m max

Ah yes, those exclusive English passports, if Sancho had one of those instead of the poxy British ones he might be 220m...

English passport doesn’t mean much when he plays for Wales
Very well, Mr. Pedantic, British passport. Just assumed he was another bang average English player from relegation fodder that would still cost us an arm and a leg somehow. Turns out he was born in England, though.

Well its either Sancho or Mason on our RW next season. If its Sancho then bring on the 100m parade. If its Mason then we need squad cover on his side.
It shouldn't be underwhelming, just common sense.
Also looks as if we gave up on Sancho tbh
As a squad player sure, but he’s not going to take us onto the next level. From sancho to brooks is a mighty fall.

I remember when we got Dan James, Wales had two games so I watched them.

James was good but Brooks was fantastic.

On a weird aside, Bale was like a lazy target man.

Would be a good signing even if we end up not getting Sancho because he'd help share the load with Mason, Fernandes and Rashford. I also think that if Greenwood avoids major injury he is on an upward trajectory that could see him becoming a superstar over the next 12 to 18 months, we just need genuine options that will allow us to take him and and out of the team when we need to.

Very funny. You know what I mean. I was going to put English DNA then decided on passport and saved it before changing it.

Better squad player for either wing than James/more potential imo. Would be more pushing Greenwood as the main starter for the right for next season as well IMO. Hopefully decent price as they're relegated. Could do far worse!
Worzel Gummidge would be a better squad player for either wing in all fairness. He did look very promising before his injury I have to say. I am not sure about decent prices though, I think he is the player they will want decent money for, have a feeling he will be £40-50m odd and people are saing £80m is ludicrous for Grealish, not comparing them talent wise, but if that is the case, with his lack of experience that price would be just as ludicrous for Brooks really wouldnt it?

I still like James but Brooks is certainly the more talented player.

If he’s a depth signing I’m all for this. Covers the minutes of Mata, Lingard, can be a rotational option for right wing and even attacking mid if necessary. If this is instead the of Sancho I don’t think he’s a good enough signing to push us that next step. I like him though.

Can’t imagine for one second Brooks moving for anywhere near £40m. Halve it.

Bang average and another injury crock. Hopefully he fails a medical. What a shite potential signing.

Would like him at the club also. Young yet experienced,left-footed,injury prone, knows how to get relegated.Sign him up.

He wont be that cheap. Would rather Grealish for 60m (hopefully negotiable to that amount) than this guy for 40m

This is just a trick to get Villa to lower their demands, isn't it?

So much positivity for an average player. Is it because he’s British?
No he’s a talented player. Reads the game very well, passes well, though his crossing could do with some work and is a real threat in the box, he also works hard and tracks back well.

But he has been out with an ankle injury for most of last season, even Pogba might have played more than he did last season.

I'm surprised at the positivity here. If we can get him for a reasonable price then he could prove to be a good signing.
Expectations have been lowered over the last week or so. He'd be a handy squad player if fit, improves the depth.

Haven’t seen much of him apart from one game late in the season. He was easily Bournemouth’s best player and that was after being rushed back from injury. Can’t imagine any of our back up options shining in a team like Bournemouth. Happy about this depending on price.

He’ll be £30m, and he’s been injured most of the season - only played 9 games.
Have a feeling he'll be less if he does go. Don't think you can really demand that from someone who was out all of last season and you just got relegated.

You might be right though, but that's cheaper than we've been quoted for anyone who can cover AM and RW.

I'd love him. The exact sort of player that Liverpool would be looking at if they were in the same position as us in their rebuild. Is the Grealish alternative if Villa are still playing silly beggars with their price.

Waits for us to bid something sensible and Bournemouth to counter with "Well City gave us 41 million for Ake so we are expecting the same"

I think this would be a better signing for you than Grealish. Would be happy being a squad player, would be much cheaper and I think he's just as talented.

EDIT: If he's brought into be backup for Bruno/Rashford/New RW I don't know why anyone would be against this - he's far better than Lingard and Pereira.
Easy now.
