Kane came across as really stupid
Him half ass calling out his teammates for passing on responsibility as he meekly made his point by staring straight ahead and awkwardly to the right was really telling.
He hasnt any leadership in him

I would actually love to see a United fly-on-the-wall series like this. They would make a shitload of money from it. Seeing what goes on in the team talks, dressing room and those convos between Solskjaer and Woodward would be really enlightening.
My main point of interest would be seeing how Ole interacts with the players and tactical briefings. Be interesting to see if he's as mellow as he appears in the media.

And as I said before, they showed nothing of the United 2-1 defeat, which was a bit strange considering they showed the Chelsea defeat?
It seems rushed, I was expecting alot more detail and like you said the game against Manutd would be very good material.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Utd blocked filming at Old Trafford
Thought that was the case. Mourinho going back to United and they spent about 4 minutes on it in total! Would have been fascinating to see his preparation for the game and what he identified our weaknesses as etc.

Overall I’m really enjoying it. Mourinho is hilarious and comes across as a top manager. Also gives insight into what’s happened to Dele. Clearly doesn’t demand the same from himself as the top players do. It’d be fascinating to see this last for three years and see how Mourinho ends up so toxic all the time. It’s just baffling as he’s so personable.

I think that is incredibly harsh - he was the only player in the squad who spoke up and called people out. At least he did it - Harry isn't our club captain remember.

Only one shown I suppose.

I don't get it either - ok so he may not be the most inspiring public speaker but he is a total professional who leads by example and he also had the balls to call his team mates out so he is clearly a leader in the squad. People love to bash Kane for some reason.
Kane is a great player and finisher. But he is definitely not captain material. He just lacks leadership. It is not bashing him to say that.

Yeah me too. I doubt whether he's as chilled behind the scenes though. Would make great TV though.

Yeah, I reckon he's more relaxed and to the point behind doors. My favourite moment by far is when he absolutely lost his shit with Lingard in the City game. Swearing at him. Took the words right out of all the fans mouths.

I wonder if he does the England team talks. So underwhelming.

It's because he's proven himself too much at the highest level at this point so they can't criticize his play. So they latch on to the silliest things like his speech impediment or any micro mannerisms.

Fact is he's one of the absolute top strikers in world football who guarantees goals, is a pro's pro, leads by example, a family man who stays out of the press and they'd absolutely all love to have him playing at their club.

On here, yes, because he is English.

I'd wait until all 9 parts are released in a couple weeks' time then.

Prime usually has a cheap trial offer for a week. So as long as you can binge the whole thing in a week I'd say do the trial offer, watch it all, and then cancel the subscription.

If they had done one of those on our (Bayern) season 19/20, it would be a lot like Spurs - wonky start to the season, mid season manager sacking, but then, the important difference, all instead of nothing. :D
Jokes aside, i'd have loved to get a closer view of our dressing room, training sessions, backroom stuff, and just the general atmosphere in the squad and entire club leading to the eventual treble.
All the players spoke highly of Flick's man management and the team spirit, and we have enough characters at the club to make the most mundane situations watchable, at the very least to Bayern fans ^^

Are those cameras at his room just installed there or is there an actual camera crew there while he is having the meetings with players

I think your Tottenham sunglasses are blinding you mate.

He is a good player. He is not a leader, simple as. Personally I didn't even notice if he had a speech impediment.

“....better players than I had at Manchester United.” Is my takeaway from the first episode.

This is bollocks. Nothing to do with him being English. If anything him being English means he is less likely to get serious criticism because we all support him when he plays for his country.

Next you'll be telling me Pogba is English too. Because he gets criticism on here. FFS.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first three episodes and much more than I thought. Tried to take it for what it is: some good insight into the modern-day workings of a big football club, alongside some obvious PR guff. On the whole, Mourinho comes across very well even if that's one of the documentary's predominant purposes.

The most interesting take-away for me, though, was Jose often imploring players to "be confident". You can't just switch that on or off in high-stakes situations; it has to exude naturally, be coached into players over time by teaching them to make better choices, or be representative of someone's own headspace and life/working environment in the moment. Obviously a lot of his working relationships were in their infancy during what we've seen so far but it strikes me as a fairly limited psychological/high pressure management approach.

Also strikes me as something a few of our squad (Shaw/Martial as usual are the most obvious examples) may have struggled with under him if he offered similar advice. Repeatedly telling someone to be confident or calm doesn't mean a switch is just flicked, problems are solved and the right decisions are made... particularly, in their cases, when you dig them out publicly as well.
The most interesting take-away from me is that Jose is an exceptionally articulate and intelligent manager. Whether or not his methods/tactics/philosophy still work in 2020 (not sure, and the doc deosn't touch upon that at all), you can't doubt Jose's charisma and intelligence. I liked how he framed the conversations with the key players, like Kane (stroked his ego to get him onside), Dele Alli (you're talented but inconsistent, you'll regret it if you don't demand more from yourself) and even Eric Dier.

I hated him as United manager, but I can appreciate his professionalism, communication skills and transparency, and it's thoroughly entertaining to see him in charge of a club I don't particularly care for one way or the other.

Also, he seems overtly religious (making the cross sign, or kissing a rosary before key moments), that was an interesting tidbit.

Recommend everyone watch this. Jose is a legend .

Good United bits:

Fergie told Jose to get Delle

Jose tells Kane he has better players there than he had at United.

Dier was hardcore United and cried when Mourinho kicked us at for Porto

Disagree. I think he’s the exact sort of leader that they say he is in the show. A leader by example on the pitch, in games, and in training. Works his absolute bollocks off day in day out and has always been known for it.

Shit at team talks as we’ve seen I’ll give you that, but maybe it’s personal opinion but I’d rather a leader who plays a good game rather than a leader who talks a good game.

Not only that but a leader who doesn’t ever bring his club and country into disrepute with off field antics like some other captains...

I agree with you. He's exactly what people said Beckham was, not very vocal, but his professionalism made you work harder.

Although the bold part just shows you're a bit of a wet wipe.
