Bayern is the most unpopular club in the Bundesliga. Nobody likes Bayern fans. They generally behave like most United fans in this thread.
It would seem that you are the new Glaston. After all, aren't Neverkusen are the Spurs of Germany?

Please state what I wrote that isn't true.
You don't have to lie to be arrogant. If an Olympic champion weightlifter goes up to a skinny kid and says "kid I'm so much stronger than you are that I could kill you with a single punch you weaselly little dickhead" - well it's true but you'd still say he's being an absolute massive bellend.

And, well, let's face it, United these days is perhaps a somewhat better weightlifter than Dortmund, like a couple of kilos difference. feck, that analogy got away from me but anyway - the point is we could be a bit more modest after achieving feck all in the past seven years.

And Dortmund are by no means an irrelevant club. Even you can't seriously believe that, unless you think the only relevant clubs are United, Bayern, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

I thought the bundesliga started this weekend. Looks like another week. Still time to get him in before he plays any regular season matches in germany.
They play on the same day as our first game and at exactly the same time... the question is will Sancho be playing in Germany or at the Theatre Of Dreams..

Vizekusen indeed. He is right about Bayern though.
By the way, are you named after Captain Haddock from Tintin? If so, well done.

We asked very nicely, with all the correct decorum and biscuits served with the tea: and BVB (and their fans) have responded like jumped up and self righteous dictators who think they are the only guys who drink kool aid.

Fine, that's also their prerogative, but then don't start whining when MUFC then do away with the niceties and just take what they want.

Once this transfer is over, I hope all our digital fanbase spam BVB's social media armed with the finest Himalayan salt.

I don't really think the club have done anything wrong really. They want to keep sancho, put a price and deadline in place and have allegedly stuck to it. Fair enough I guess.

The subreddit is awful though. Horrible little corner of the net.

United fans have been correct this whole way through as well. We were arrogant when asked why would Sancho join a spent club, we were dismissed by a made up deadline, we were mocked by everyone down to BVB tea lady when that deadline passed. We were dismissed when saying negotiations were ongoing.
Lets see what happens but being told time and time again how wrong we are, when we arent, gets fecking tiring when its the same condescending group that talks down to us.

Nah, I'm just stating my impressions. I think Dortmund is a very good example what's possible if you have a clear long term vision and execute it properly, but I don't care enough to be emotional about it. If you get Sancho, that's fine by me. It's just an interesting situation. A team featuring Sancho, Reyna, Haaland, Brandt, Moukoko and Bellingham could be genuinely world class a few years down the road. And it's a game theory scenario. If Sancho stays, Haaland is more likely to stay and so forth. But if one leaves.. Their strategy of developing young talents and growing that way is great, IMO, but at some point they have to transition. And I'm curious if they succeed in that at some point in the future (don't believe it'll happen with this crop of players tbh).
I think you're overrating Dortmund's ability to keep their players, both on a financial level as well as on a competitive one.

Dortmund is a "big" team but make no mistake that Sancho, Haaland, and probably Bellingham too does not see it as a final destination in their club careers. They go there because they don't want to sit on the bench for Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea or Manchester United. I have no doubt that Dortmund knows this and accepts that they won't be able to keep them forever.

Most young talents go to Dortmund because they know that they give them opportunities. Once you outgrow the costume its best to move on, Dortmund will survive and keep developing young talents like they always have. Doesn't mean that they won't compete without a Sancho but rather that they will have more money to get the top talents in Europe.

Financially, they can't justify that type of transition and keeping players from moving against their will isn't going to further them as a club either.
If there is one summer where it makes sense to cash in on Jadon Sancho its this summer. The player has his eyes on a move away and he has just come off a record-breaking season.
Keeping him at the club could pose a big financial risk of not maximizing profit which is crucial in these times and Dortmund knows this. They also know what kind of players they have in their ranks to fill the hole that Jadon Sancho would leave in their squad.

I don't know whether to admire or cringe or just be left incredulous with how passionately fans of non-Dortmund German clubs defend Dortmund. It is almost as if it is matter of national pride if one of the top player from league goes out of Germany. Regardless of whether what said fans say is true or not or in between (this most likely possibility), I can't imagine ever going on Bayern or any other German club board and spending loads of time defending another PL club and telling Bayern or whichever German club that they won't get this player because, say, Levy said so. Also, why Bayer fans are getting excited about Dortmund accumulating top talent? Isn't that 1 more team guaranteed above them and less places for CL which are open to others? Or is it that everybody knows and accepts their place in German football food chain, ultimately all serving Bayern Munich.

I mean chances are Haaland doesn’t stay beyond two years with the whole buyout clause thing. Sancho is leaving this summer or next. Two of their best players aren’t here for the long term..

See, I don't disagree with you. Those players joined Dortmund because they see the club as a stepping stone and the BVB happily accepts that. But that doesn't mean that they won't try changing their mind. At some point, they'll have to attempt the transition.

Yeah have to agree that is cringey as feck.

In fairness I think we’ve probably been a bit hard on Dortmund in a sense that they told us the price and they are sticking to it, fair enough, they’ve proved before they will hold out until they get what they want.

But yeah, this whole nonsense from Non Dortmund fans is pathetic. There’s a clear inferiority complex about the Premier League, and there should be, it’s the absolute bollox.

I don't think Dortmund have done anything wrong: they were asked about Sancho and both Zorc and Watzke said that he would stay. They did not insult United in any way or form.

Their social media account is usually brought up at this point but I have no idea why. They just posted a few updates about being happy that Sancho stays. Not sure what's wrong with that.

Some talk about Dortmund subreddits and stuff and I can't speak for that. I don't go to reddit for football discussion.

It also means that they will have to offer the type of wages that the big clubs can. But regardless, even a team like Manchester United couldn't say no forever when Cristiano Ronaldo wanted out.
They have to start by creating a winning culture and getting bigger revenues from transfers certainly will help them get there.

Well, you have to wait at least until next summer for this.

I actually can't believe United fecked it up to sign him this summer without competition:)
