What is more annoying is that Jude Bellingham had interest in coming here but didn't because his family felt put off by our approach which is once again a damning indictment of our current setup. Regarding Jadon Sancho, it seems we just can't seem to get that deal over the line which again isn't surprising given who actually runs this club. The agreement is there with the player but the club don't seem to want to deal directly with ours which I think says a lot.
What evidence is there of that? Ole himself met them and so did SAF. They moved because it was felt he'd develop more away from the limelight of Utd at this stage.

Be careful. We don’t see many thoughtful and rational posts on the Caf, let alone in a transfer thread.

It’s as if some people can’t get their head around how much the pandemic affects football clubs. Utd lose £5m in revenue for every home league game that’s played behind closed doors.
What I can never understand is how people do not realise they're throwing millions of pounds around like it's pocket change... Those are life-changing amounts and there isn't a single club or its director that won't do their best to negotiate the fee down (unless they have a different incentive, like getting something back under the table, etc.)

The overreaction and sheer panic about Sancho scoring a penalty and Bellingham scoring against a lower league side in a cup competition while now up a man is soooo RedCafe.

Give it a damn rest. United won't want to pony up the cash, fine, that's business. Dortmund risk losing an asset at less than their price and/or injury. Cannot have everything all the time. Dortmund will do well to challenge for the league this year, but they are a selling club. They will sell Sancho, Haaland, and Bellingham all within the next 3 to 4 years and probably nothing to show for in terms of trophies. fecked if you do, fecked if you don't.

Same goes for the shitty Muppetiers subreddit. Hope it's disappears into nothingness along with their wanker IKNs (I Know Nothings). I hope the mods/ posters there can take their 'mupdates', write them down on a piece of paper, fold them eight times, soak them in olive oil and shove them up their ass.

It's easy when it's not theirs to negotiate with. This will probably go to the wire before we get a definitive answer direct from either club.

Be good if we can get Reguillon done

If this doesn't happen it should be the catalyst of a new serious push to feck the Glazers off.

I'm fed up with the transfer window looking like this every god damn summer.

Indeed. I'll bet no one has even been to a first round Pokal match before. They're ludicrous. I watched a thrid division team stand up to Bayern for 88 minutes in 1996 in Berlin. Then they collapsed and Munich won by three goals.

I never got drawn into the muppetry - but the smugness and confidence with which they posted was so fecking annoying. That whole forum needs to be deleted.
That subreddit is meant for a laugh. It isn't their fault if anyone is silly enough to take it seriously.

I said it on 11th of August, just based on Edward Woodward and the Glazers ineptness, and i'll say it again. We are not getting Sancho. Edward was not even trying to get Sancho. He was just feeding info to the press that he was still in for him so that the share prices of the club wouldn't go into meltdown etc. In truth this was our chance. Covid, he wanting to join us, BVB giving us a reasonable price that we could meet. Everything was going for us to get Sancho.
Today's spin is that we will go after him next year. really? with no CL football? With him probably costing 150 million? we would nearly double our highest fee ever paid. Sorry to say, but we are never going to get Sancho playing in our team. Even if we have CL football, would you join the club that basically had rejected you? embarrassed you like that? Why does my club make me feel like this every freaking summer? I have supported our club since 2000 and i have never felt so shite.
Should really turn tele off right about now, Sancho looks really good
Chill out dude. He’s just a player. The share price doesn’t depend on him, and is also not what the club were playing at as they’d plummet when folk realised we weren’t signing him. Very short-termist view.

€120m is a ridiculous price for a footballer. Utterly crazy, and certainly not ‘reasonable’. If it was, all the top clubs in Europe would be in for him. It’s not an easy transfer at all & by not spending that amount on a player is hardly ‘embarrassing’ or ‘rejecting’ him.

Enjoy supporting the club, hope that we continue the post-lockdown form we showed. We’ve got some bright things to look forward to, even if we sign no-one else.

Where did you hear that? There was nothing indicating that anywhere that I remember, and I was following his transfer closely.

Omg, i dont know if this thread is full of trollers.
Ok, lets suppose Dortmund in some crazy scenario decide to sell Jadon after all, there are some things that would be irracional asf for a professional elite club like Dortmund:
1) Watzke, Kehl, Zorc and whole FO are hanging from BvB window like crazy because not standing by their words, not 1 person, but whole front office would hang like crazy and lose all credibility by fans
2) Selling 1 of their most important players a few days before league starts!? Very odd
3) Who will they buy a few days before league starts!? They would be in some panic shopping that doesnt make sense at all
4) Why would they start Jadon today if the deal is near? In a game against 3x times weaker opponent.. Haha

The strange thing about this saga is that it died in German media on 10.October and in some strange parallel universe its still alive in England media.....

I honestly can't remember where exactly I heard it but it was for sure mentioned by what I would assume was a reliable source since I took note of it being said. From I do remember however was that the family were not impressed by Matt Judge specifically.

I really hope that would happen and be a serious move. Messi tried to leave we saw half of Catalonia out in streets. I hope we see half of manchester out on a peaceful protest to kick those idiots out

Well, at least we got to 1000 pages. That's a worthy landmark. Damning if it's for a transfer that never even got close. Something is terribly off with our first team recruitment operation. A laughing stock.

We need a right winger (and more, of course). Doesn't have to be named Jadon Sancho. If we don't buy him for the same reason we heard at the end of July, then we really should have finished our transfer window by now. With an alternative right winger already training with the team.

Hey at least when we fail to finish top 4 this season we can look forward to the inevitable splurge of money then right?

I'm not too sure about that - they take themselves deadly serious over there. Even a quick glance there now and they're still convinced it's happening.

We will certainly sign a couple of sponsors. That is what this club is all about

Will never understand the apparent joy some 'fans' get over their club potentially missing out on their top target :wenger:

I understand it coming from rival fans but certain fans sound like they seemingly prefer being proven right and coming to gloat and insult other fans subsequently over the squad strengthening and showing real ambition for whatever reason.

Problem is not with this player. Problem is Woodward and the Glazers. I really hope that you realize that mate. 'Rona didn't make this market bad for us. Glazers did. This summer transfer window is not isolated incident. This is a trend. We will never again compete with Real Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool. And this is not because of Covid. They will forever make stupid decisions. They will forever keep taking money out from the club. They will waste the talents of Rashford and Greenwood.

I don't know if u have noticed, but https://www.90min.com/posts/man-utd-money-paid-glazer-family-bad, read this mate, or this http://thepeoplesperson.com/2020/09...million-from-man-united-report-claims-218131/

They are constantly taking money out of our club. As dividends, as loan repayments.

just tandy isn't it. Glazers put 1 billion loan onto us. They bought our club for our money. We will never be dept free, because this is how they do business. If loan comes down, they will just take out another loan. Just to feed their greed.

That's exactly what it is, some get more joy out of being able to say 'I told you so' than being wrong and the club they supposedly support signing WC players

It was actually the opposite. All the reports were that we were really charming and laid out a convincing case. However, supposedly Dortmund offered more wages initially and a better guarantee of first-team football which when you look at our midfield makes a lot of sense. Essentially Pogba and Bruno are playing in his two positions.

Haaland and Bellingham turning us down is disappointing but they are actually a good example of players making better choices for their own development and the fact we aren't offering crazy wages to convince them shows we have changed our approach. We could have offered them treble the wages Dortmund are paying to convince them but we seem to be trying to get players to buy in with our 'project'.

Sancho must put pressure on BVB. Only way how this deal can be done. And he doesn't want to do it.
We should move on while there is enough time and buy someone else.

What is our project?

Is it signing players who only want to play for us and no one else...seriously I'm curious.
