You don’t actually read do you?

For a third time, I’ve no issue with that opinion. I don’t agree with it, but can understand the perspective.

The fact you hold a grudge against him because he “turned us down” is as pathetic, as it is short sighted. It’s not in the slightest a consideration of whether we should pursue Bale or not.

Almost as pathetic as calling him Bailed.
I think you are the one not reading my posts and had opted to focus on one point that I made which I had to explain. Also note that the guy isn't wanted by his club. They haven't kicked him out because he is on a contract. So if we get him then we will be bailing him out

If RM let James leave for free, then getting Bale on loan for a year is not a bad idea. RM reject is not a necssary bad thing using James performance for everton over the weekend as an indicator. I am sure MU can sort out the wage issue with RM.

If we can motivate him with no actual obligations beyond this season then I’m all for it.

Is this Caf speculation or are ITKs actually murmuring?

None of them were/are in search of their final pay cheque
I can understand people being concerned that he might be over the hill, but this point of view makes no sense to me.

Bale is not going to earn more money than he is now. Absolutely no chance. At best he keeps the same salary.

If im Gareth Bale and im done with football, achieved everything I want to in the game, cant be bothered etc etc then im not even thinking about making a change. Why would I? Im in a dream scenario where im earning a kings ransom to live in a beautiful city and do pretty much.....whatever I want to do without pressure. My legacy is secure. I've won more CL medals than most clubs ever have in their history.

If he is looking to move on its because he still wants to play football. Still has something to prove. I just don't see a scenario where he turns up somewhere half interested. There's no point to that at all

Yeah people getting worked up by one year long loan with an option let’s say on our side to extend is rather strange. He’s not exactly old yet and didn’t have a lot of football in his leg recently to fear a Sanchez level drop-off. This actually would be wise piece of business by the club. Bale is still an insanely good player.

I would take him on loan. But of course, without buying him later. No matter if he scores 20 goals and has 20 assists.

This./

If he wants to play well for Wales [he could sit on the bench all year & he’d get in their side] he needs to play regularly.

Moving from Madrid to wherever is an upheaval he simply wouldn’t undertake if his motivation to play isn’t there.

I can't agree more. There is always a risk to any transfer, but a one year loan deal is the best way to minimize it. Bayern does this often (James, Coutinho & Perisic).

Bale is getting abused and called names at the training ground and the golf course (and his car was reportedly attacked).

If he can get the same sweet €29m year elsewhere for doing shit all and the fans would instead boo and turn up at Woody's house, it is a good deal for him.

124 days out in 2 years.. Pogba? Over 160 in a year

Unmotivated? I don’t get that

Talk to Jose about fitnesses

Money centric... Isn’t it real who pays the money?
Easy to stay uninjured when you don't play.

He would rather antagonise than attempt to force his way into the team, by pulling up roots in training.

I don’t have Jose's number. ??

He is willing to rot to see out his contract on €600k than take a pay cut and move.
Is he not the definition of money-centric?

It's never nice to be at a club that doesn't want you. At inter Baggio was sent to play with the kids and then he was kicked out of the training ground altogether. Mazzone fount him training alone in a frigging park. Sanchez's experience with us became sour very quickly and we are a nice club. Imagine what Real are doing to Bale

If he can leave that toxic situation even for a year then he will be happy for it

I suppose loan is risk free? Not sure it’s a great sign for our supposed rebuild getting in a 31 year old mercenary even if it’s for the short-term.

If we bring Bale in instead of paying the money for Sancho this board have really learnt nothing over the past few years.

This window has soured all the joy and pride I'd rebuilt in the club since February.

Ole has been betrayed.

Because every time we have bought an old big name in on big wages they've turned out to be more trouble than their worth? Where would you play him?
Moved this into the Bale thread.
I’d play him on right or left wing. Keep Martial as CF and have Greenwood/Rashford/Bale rotation for either of the two wing positions. Greenwood & Rashford can also deputise for Martial if required.

As I said, my first preference is for Bale to stay in Madrid and for Sancho to come. If Sancho stays in Germany, I think we could do a lot worse than Bale. I’m an optimist hoping he’d be motivated to prove his doubters wrong.
It’s not as if he’s returning from a bad injury like Falcao. Whilst he’s not playing regularly for Madrid, he did have an impact last season on the few occasions he played.
ZZ just doesn’t like him, maybe it’s an Anglo/French thing.

If we can’t get Sancho this summer then a loan for Bale is a good option. Like James, people have a tendency to rate players by their current stock price than anything else. Bale still has quality and would be one of the best few players in the PL if he came here.

I've been against signing Bale for a while now, but a subsidised loan with no obligation until we sort out the RW isn't the worst idea in the world (if for some reason the Sancho deal doesn't come off).

Consider how our medical team are with the likes of pogba and rashford, Bale would be a disaster back in this league

Thanks for mentioning something that happened once somewhere else to someone else.

Have you ever see Bale look like he's having a miserable time? Ever? To me he looks like a guy who feels like he has been frozen out by Zidane and has decided to give absolutely zero fecks about it.

I think its the right stop-gap. Provides depth across front 3. Get Sancho next summer.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Spurs.
Would be a good move for everyone

Mourinho has always liked him.

Spurs (legend?) who will ensure tickets are in high demand when fans start returning

Bale gets to prove he still got it

He's heavily reliant on his physical traits and he's been constantly injured/unavailable for how long now. Would be another Sanchez imo. When was the last time he finished a 90 minute game?

Im not being funny, but i would love Bale at United.
In what context though? Would you rather pay Bale 300k a week or Sancho 200k a week and get 10 years out of him? Bale is a pensioner now, is not as mobile as some people are imagining him to be. Also would you rather pay the Glazers 100 million dividends or use that 100 million to buy Sancho? Bale makes no sense, he won't come here for 100k a week, just get Sancho.

Really depends on the Bale we get though, I'm sure no one would have any complaints about a motivated and fully fit Bale.

It would definitely make the league more interesting, however i doubt Spurs can even afford half of his wages. a front 3 of Son, Kane and Bale are definitely interesting.

I rather him than no one, especially if Madrid are subsidizing his wages and we don’t make a long term commitment.

He’d be a decent stopgap til we make another run at Sancho with a year less on his contract, though I suspect it’s more of a ploy to force Dortmund to accept our offer.

I watched a fair few La Liga games last term and he’s still got it. He’s lacking in motivation but he’s still one of the best players on whatever pitch he plays on. If we can’t get Sancho and we get him for a season or two on subsidised wages then it’s worth the risk. There’s a chance he could actually be up for a move and puts his best foot forward - we’ve just gotta hope nobody tackles that foot......

Personally feel Leon bailey can be a good option, we can get him on cheap and has a decent eye for goal.
Bale is a short term fix with high risk, would love to see him, but just doesn't make sense he'll come to United to be a 1 year stopgap player, and perform selflessly for the team.
Let's hope if we get him, he tries to erase all the shit that's been said about him at Real Madrid and tries to be a better team player.
