What’s increasingly depressive is reading the subtitle everyday and getting convinced that Dortmund’s certainty in keeping him has increased even further since the day before, when it also had increased from the day before, etc

It genuinely isnt happening. Theres been nothing in ages to suggest there is. Dortmund have the figure they want. United dont want to pay it. Move on.

Literally nothing of note will come of that podcast, because if they had something new and interesting they'd be posting it all over twitter right away.
Unusual negativity from you ;)

My fellow lads in Manchester, if this deal doesn't get done, I expect you to do the right thing and pay a visit to a certain house ;)
I know you're joking but you'd have to be a special breed of cuntbag to go and protest outside a rich mans house in your spare time. Especially about football.

If we had anyone else in charge of transfers we’d have got this done in August. 70-20-20.

this is the worst saga ever! Even if we get it done we will pay the asking price so what’s the fecking point in all the rest of it.
The point, it kept everyone entertained for an entire summer!

This our new level. Get used to it guys, as long as the Leaches own the club.
How? It means we are going with Mason on the right instesd of Sancho and he is the cover.
We need Sancho because he is special. We dont need to go out and sign a lesser starter, who would struggle to displace Mason, just because.
Its not Mata out there anymore

Why would anyone give any credibility to a story from Delaney?

At this point I wouldn't be upset with Sarr if we can't get Sancho in.

Really do want to see another decent RW option in the squad so we don't have to run Greenwood into the ground.

It's pretty integral that we don't burn out our front 3 with the congested schedule coming up this season

I wouldn't put much into the links so far though given that it's mainly coming from Delaney at the moment.

This is such a silly point considering how much money we spent since Sir Alex left. We didnt spend too little, just too unwise.
It is not silly, they are not going to spend anything to make us compete for the title, just pay what makes us make it to top four. in 10 years the club financed 838m on their debt, interests and dividends.

Under a tree.
I like Sarr, but he's not that great in tight spaces and playing against defenses that sit deep and park the bus which is why Sancho would be so good. Most of Sarr good moments last season came on the counter and basically teams disregarding Watfords attacking potency.
I think Traore is the best alternative given his trickery

I would be more optimistic if we dont sign anybody instead of Sancho than signing any mediocre option available in the market.

if we are looking for alternatives our main ones should be Wilf or Adama. Zaha played under Ole with Cardiff and i won't be surprised he goes for him if the sancho deal is dead... palace also tracking boga and benrahma.

Sounds like Daniel James. Don’t need to be buying another one

This was the level of Liverpool a few years ago and look how that turned out.
The problem is that clubs like Liverpool or Bayern seem to spend their money way better than we do.

When have we pulled off a signing, that completely outperformed the expectations?

Liverpool have done it with Salah, Mane and Robertson. I could also list more expensive guys like van Dijk or Alisson, who are homerun hits, too.
Bayern have done it with Kimmich, Davies, Gnabry and Goretzka, who were all rather low-profile signings and turned into worldclass players.

I blame our scouting for that mess. We always seem to focus on exactly one or two flashy targets very early and then don't even care about other players anymore. I don't think our scouts even look for lesser known players, who could have a ton of potential. I can't explain them reportedly rejecting Davies any other way ...

This is exactly how I see it. The issue is not our lack of spending, we splashed the cash numerous times, its who we spend it on.
