Selling James already while you keep Mata, Lingard, Pereira, Rojo or Jones would be a bit ridiculous. Thought you'd be more aggressive in moving deadwood and just let them go for free like so many other clubs did this summer.
"Or"? Sell them all. Cept Mata. He's ok now and again and keeps Dave happy.

It was him and he will probably get a tune out of James since he can get one out of Bamford
Checked, it wasn't him. It was Sarri.

In fact Bielsa left Lazio after 48 hrs because the club didn't sign the players he wanted.

Bielsa left because the club lied to him about its intentions. Sarri left Chelsea for the same reason. They both work with the players they have and dont care much about transfers

There is still going to be a lot of activity in the transfer market in the upcoming weeks. Getting beaten by Crystal Palace at home is not due to no new signings, its just bad management.
The team was absolutely terrible yesterday. Players didn’t look fit at all. Ironic when Ole was quoted as saying being fitter than the rest of the league doesn’t cost money.

What are the stats? Both have barely played and both are useless. If anything James has time on his side.
Mata last season replaced James many times by in Europa league latter stages and created chances and won us games from RW. James is useless at RW. Both should he sold but Mata is more useful

Yeah we'll just ignore the fact CP had 4 friendlies and 3 competitive games or something along those lines. Compared to our 1 game with half a squad...

James is more useful against the top teams because he has space but you would play Greenwood in those games anyway.

90% of our games we are trying to break a defensive block, where Mata picks the lock, James has no stock.

James should be loaned out.

I’d get rid of James. Maybe a loan in the first instance. He just doesn’t look good enough to me. Seems a nice kid, so I really want it to work out but he looks void of all ideas.
It would help if we played him in his proper position. He’s a left winger, not a right winger

Who would you play on left-wing instead of Rashford?

That's a good point. We're HAVING to use him on the right due to how weak we are there.

He should only be used as Rashford backup. Especially as Rashford seems disinterested half the time now.

Just responded to someone else. I keep forgetting he should be our LW back-up. But he should definitely be kept away from RW.

I'd actually still sacrifice James and get Telles.

With Telles you could take Rashford out(when underperforming) and put on another CF or CAM and go 3-5-2.

Mata to consistently 'pick the lock' for us.
2 goals and 5 assists in 11 Europa games is a nice return for a player out the team.

His link-up with Fernandes is clear to see.

He's much more creative than the likes of James when we play against weaker teams.

I like how you also added consistently, which I myself didn't use.

Rumours about Dalot being included in Telles deal. Not so sure about this because players swaps are very rare

You want us to play 3-5-2 against a mid to lower table side at OT?

I'd prefer you explicitly name the 3-5-2 you'd like us to play; especially your central midfield 3, and your wing-backs. So Telles is one wing-back.Who's the other?

Who would take a Dele-Jesse swap if it meant we got Telles and say, Upamecano?
If we swap Dele with Jesse, it won't have any impact on us signing Upamecano. If Spurs pay cash for Jesse, then we might redirect it , to try and sign Upa

James is still young enough to be given a chance to improve and a bigger and better squad would help with his development. Yes he was poor yesterday, but surely the club should be looking to sell Pereira, Jones, Rojo, Lingard et al before selling James. It may well be that 12 months from now we can be absolutely certain he's not good enough and regret not taking £12m of Leeds money, but maybe we keep and he develops into a pivotal squad player. I do think Ole needs to pick his games better e.g. at home to a team who sit back is just about the worst kind of game for James to play in and that's on Ole.
