Barto is really going to feck over whoever is going to be the new president of Barelona by gifting away one of the few remaining strong young assets of the club in a fire-sale. All so him and the other directors are not personally liable to for any debts at the end of their tenures. Incredible.

These people are destroying one of the greatest football clubs in the world in broad daylight to save their own hides.

is he actually any good? What role would he cover? Or is he a panic buy (if we even get him)

I dont really watch Barca but can remember him missing an absolute sitter in that CL first leg when they were about 4-0 up in the CL against Liverpool. Liverpool then produced "another magical European night at Anfield" and came back in the 2nd leg and then won the whole thing. So I hold him responsible!

When fit, he is very productive.

At the moment, I’m feeling like this is another Dybala moment. A literally out of nowhere strong link for potentially awesome player (potentially as injured a lot recently) then as it transpires the player doesn’t want to move but will if we offer him ludricrous wages and therefore we really shouldn’t after how Sanchez and ADM played out.

Manchester United has not made or will make an offer for Dembélé no matter what happens with Jadon Sancho for whom they have just made an offer of € 80 + 20 (rejected by Borussia)

No offer (and none expected by #FCB ) for Dembélé by #MUFC now or even if Sancho doesn't arrive

Would love Dembele. An unreal talent. Cant believe people are saying no to him.
because they don't want someone to hinder the development of young jesse lingard or they enjoy watching that headless chicken dan james run around

Seems like we’re lining him up as a number 2 if dortmund REALLY won’t sell.

think the contacts are genuine and barca would probably push him out the door if needs be ... next few days will be fun

Just said on Sky Sports News that their sources (lol) hear from Sky Germany from someone who knows Dembele:

Definitely does not want to leave Barca.

Obviously there are concerning reports about his capacity to be a professional worker, but I watched a fair few games his final Dortmund season and his mix of agility and creativity would be a massive upgrade for us on the right. Don't think he's quite as consistently good at getting the ball to strikers' feet as Sancho is but certainly at full strength he walks into our team and fixes a lot of balance issues and also just having wide creativity from deep since our fullbacks uh yeah. Basically we'd look like Everton do now but with 10s instead of hardworking 8s:

Rashford--Martial/Greenwood----------
--------------------------------------------Dembele
-----------Bruno------------------------------
-------------------------Pogba-----------------
---------------------DM------------------------------

If Dembele is on song and Ole can't get that humming I don't think it would be tough to find a manager who can

Is he actually good? He has a much higher ceiling that Sancho. The problem is whether or not he will ever get there. Sancho is a sure bet but ousmanne is injury prone.

There's been a lot of talk of us signing the right characters with our recent signings. Is he that?

I thought at DOrtmund, apart from terms of assisting team mates, he was every bit as good as SAncho personally....but that is what 2/3 years and several injuries ago now. Not seen much of Barcelona to see how he has done there. For me, I wouldnt want more than a loan at most though. Although personally most are over rated, our attacking players are all very talented....the problem for me with them is consistency. Dembele doesnt even seem able to play consistently for more than a couple of months let alone play well consistently, is that what we need added? Its a problem with a lot of this current side of our consitency and a fair few of our team that is due to injury problems too, thats what would concern me about Dembele, ability wise, he is withougt doubt good enough to be a star player for us I feel though

I think this transition is a club is kind of important for me. Even if we don't have a DoF our signings have been mostly focusing on the long term and we're not papering over cracks or going galactico since Ole came in.

If Ole does get sacked this season, a new manager like Poch / Rose will have a pretty good starting place to work from.

I will stop watching Utd if he is our backup plan. Talking about a rotten character and his injury record. This club is truly lost if he is our backup plan.

What would they do though? Play one half each on the RW? There is no way Ole will not pick Rashford on the left if he can help it.
His only option is Dan James so Ole had to stick with Rashford and try to play him into form.

I don't think so, at least not at this point. Although, it's hard to judge in a sense given the state of Barcelona in the last few seasons.

He's very talented but he's also quite injury prone. If a loan is possible then I'd be very tempted by that.

What a drama queen.

First, very very unlikely that any deal is happening. He wants to stay in Barcelona.

Second, looks like we're only interested in a loan move and if that was to happen, he would be a great option.

Third, what has he done to make you have such a visceral reaction to him signing? The reports are he simply is late to training sometimes as he stays up playing video games, something which Sancho has been guilty of himself. He's one of the most exciting players in the world to watch - can't fathom why you have such a strong antipathy to him

I've been in that camp of not wanting him here for the talk about his lack of focus and professionalism. However, if he arrives here on loan with the club looking to still sign Sancho next year, I'll have no complaints on that right wing front. I'd expect he'd be motivated to prove himself - seeing as he seems desperate to stay at Barca - and be part of that Barca rebuild from next season. Also, Euros.

Would much rather this than sign a not-really-great option for the right wing - leaves us still free to look for long-term guaranteed quality there whilst massively improving our options this season.

He seems determined to stay at Barca and convince them that he's worthy of a place, which is fair enough.
He'd probably make more of a impression if he turns up to training on time though.
