Yes, when a manager underperforms he gets sacked. That's how this works.
Did the last 12 months of results not happen? The players are deflated and knackered and no sign of players coming in to help. The fans feel it, the players feel it. But nope it’s all Ole, obviously. As I initially said, master stroke from Ed

Board glazers stupid defending all can be used an excuse but he is just not doing himself any favor. We are just regressing now. Playing catch up every season won't work. He has to take a lot of blame too.

And after todays result it will be the usual from the ex utd players......ole needs support from the board. Eventually there has to come a point when the blame lands with the manager and rite now we look like a team going backwards at an alarming rate, why on earth would any top player want to come and play for this clueless manager. Legend as a player but sadly way out of his depth as a manager.

It’s quite simple really. The reason why managers like Klopp, Ancelotti, Pep etc are revered across Europe is because they make change, have defined styles, buy players to fit their systems and inspire their players. Can you honestly hand on heart say the former Cardiff and Molde manager has those qualifications in coaching and man management at the highest level that United need and expect?

There’s no bigger fan of Ole than me and he’ll always be a United legend as an ex player. However, he is so out of his depth over the course of a season, hence being nearly 2 years into the job and we still don’t have anything Other than a 4-2-3-1 relying on the counter attacks of fast players and/or individual brilliance to win football matches every week.

Just take a look at the job Ancelotti is now doing at Everton what 9 months in .... I’ll say no more.

Woodward first please. Or we will have yet another thread like this for the next manager.
I don't understand why others don't seem to see this. No point replacing only while the same board is in place.
After tomorrow Woodward can’t do anything even if he wanted to, do you really think no other manager can do more with the existing squad than Ole?

There’s boardroom level changes that need making, undeniably, but that doesn’t mean Ole should keep his job.

Ole did great with 3rd position last season..but something is wrong now ..
We look undercooked.. undercoached...no pressing.. no running..slow ..

We are letting their CBs stroke the ball. .. pass to their midfield .. where is the press?

He should fall on his sword after this shambles today.

He and his coaching staff need to take the blame and go. There is no style, no direction to this team, maybe others can see it.

Sancho needs his head examining if he wants to come play for this manager. I have frequently posted on this forum that he shouldn't have been made permanent manager and then to compound that problem we invested money on players that the next manager will jettison, not to mention the time it will take for the squad to be coached upto PL standards.

And I dont trust Woodward to have the guts to admit his mistake or make the correct appointment.

Woodward is a major issue, how can a guy with no football knowledge be given such an important job. He's the reason Ole is in the job, when it was clear that he should have waited. Now we are stuck with Ole for the future and it isn't going to look good come the end of the month.

Ole is not the best manager but the problems go way beyond him. The way the club is run is an even bigger issue. Sacking him will not resolve that.

I know Smalling is not the best, but he is not better than the shite we put on the pitch right now? We will have fans swarming my posts, but hey, look what's happening now.
If were not signing a CB then Smalling has to play.

I stand by my words that given enough time, he will make us relegation candidates.

We should've been zero points from those first three games with worse GD than Fulham if it wasn't for the woodwork.

Easy to say mate but honestly, its a job for him more than anything. He's a young man still with a long (hopefully) future ahead of him and his family. He's not going to cut himself short of 20 million quid or so because he thinks he's maybe not good enough, especially when the board are in a position to make that decision for him. I loved OGS as a player, and whatever happens his legacy as a club legend is never in doubt. In the short-term, whilst this is raw, yeah, it feels like he's stinking it up. But in a few years we'll think 'oh that didn't work out but I'll always remember Barcelona in 99...
Thought he only signed a three year contract a year and half ago?

More than half of those months we were far from good and the results weren't any better.

He should resign after this. The board are disorganized and amateur in their dealings but they spent 130 million on his defenders who are now failing badly.

There is no consistency in terms of performance and despite riding some confidence for stretches, there are serious issues with out fitness, defensive structure and a number of players who appear to be getting worse over time.

Woodward is a plague but that doesn’t mean we throw in the towel and accept mediocrity. This team needs a coach with a clear vision and now is the time to do it.

Everything is about coaching. Ole cannot expect the board to buy shining new toys every year. He knows Matic is slow and he knows Pogba doesn't defend. He knows Bailly is just a time bomb waiting to explode. He knows Lindeloft is physically weak. He knows his players doesn't press to win back possession. He knows we can be devastating on th break. He knows De Gea's best days are behind him. He knows AWB can't attack. He knows Martial can be moody and inconsistent. He knows Rushford form has been bad. Seriously?!!! Why is he still our manager?
Because he is calm and likeable and doesn't rock the Glazer's boat.

A yes man.

Under the right management, today could be our version of Bayern's 5-1 thrashing last year by Frankfurt that led to Kovac's sacking and Flick's appointment. We aren't smart enough to know when to cut bait, though.

Not only are they tactically inept but their fitness levels are atrocious and this I hate to admit is down to the coaching staff, the buck which stops with the manager.

Just lost 6-1 at home to a Spurs team lead by a defensive manager who we sacked for being defensive. Holy feck, we're an absolute shambles.

How can you recover from such a scoreline if you are not SAF? I suppose Southampton did well to stick with Hassenhutl last season but this is Manchester United.
