You don’t need to spare a thought for us “clowns”. The fact that you are actually triggered by it is concerning. You have nearly 30,000 posts on a forum which is rather more tragic.
Keep dreaming about Sancho.

Having still 2 years left on his contract should allow them to still command a 120m euro fee. It’s only when a player gets down to one year left that a discount can be entertained.

Right now, I feel his value has more chance of increasing than decreasing. He’s shown progression every year in the 3 years he’s been there. I truly expect him to go another level this year and expect a few suitors at the end of the season coming in for him.
Was a fun few weeks pal.

But I think it’s now time to admit we were wrong and congratulate all members of the Bundesliga Reputation Protection Alliance on a job well done.

Sadly we over estimated Woodward’s abilities to behave like a football CEO and instead revert to type which is behave like a ‘*anker’.

Am not sure I have the will the jump on this train in the future but you never know!

see you around in the forum

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Woodward’s credibility at the top tier of European football is in tatters.
And the saddest part of that is I’m really happy.
He’s not had any credibility since the first Moyes summer. Along with Barcelona we’re one the worst run clubs around when you look at outcome compared to resources. At least Barcelona can remove their idiot. We’re stuck with ours.

Woodward and his college mate Judge, thought that they could casually bully Dortmund. And they got their asses served on a plate.

Absolute embarrassment that these two are in charge of transfers at our club.

I'm actually glad we havent got him.

I don't think he has the mentality we require in this team.

It doesn’t consume my life as much as some on here. You really shouldn’t let football or a forum affect your emotions so much.
What? I think you need to look up the word triggered because you certainly acting like someone who has been triggered by a picture.

We tried to bluff them and they called our bluff.

We didn't have any alternatives at all and have been left scrambling around after (presumably) being told in the last couple of days "we're really not selling sancho, feck off"

Incompetence from top to bottom at the club.

Although disappointing result, it was certainly fun at the same time. It was a humorous journey. I enjoyed the banter along the way. I went from being a “Newbie” to a full member although I’d argue I spoke more sense as a newbie.

It’s actually fascinating how disturbed some members get with posters who go against the tide and the odds. I actually enjoyed being a Sancho muppet. Deep down of course I always knew we had fools in charge of our club and as time went on it was pretty clear this was more unlikely than likely. But remaining a muppet became a challenge. Especially as the infighting and disgruntled within accusing us of being “clowns” and “idiots” intensified. And then to add to it the German Defence League increasing their army of soldiers.

It’s been a fun journey with a shite ending. But hey “Football, bloody hell!” :)

All this talk about "United want Sancho, but are working on several backup options aswell" Sancho, Coman, Dembele. Seems we got none of them.

Ah well, there might still be time to do a last second raid on Bournemouth or Watford

Do you honestly think he or the Glazers care about public perception?

They are bleeding us dry and will do the bare minimum financially to ensure that the endorsements keep pouring in. We haven't won anything meaningful in 7 years yet we're still the biggest draw commercially. They don't care about the fans.

Spare a thought for these clowns @esmufc07 @Pexbo

One of them has half his posts in this thread.
Who you calling a clown Bojo ... I’ve enjoyed the ride, gutted Ed ballsed it up but still, this thread on the whole has been a better place to camp than the rest of the self pitying threads.

No shame in getting caught up in what should have been the easiest deal to conclude in the entire window.

All Ed’s done is weaken our club by feckin this up.

I’m glad some seem to think it’s funny or worth it just becuase they hated having to come into this thread over the past few months.:wenger:

What’s amazing is apparently we were working on “alternatives” for a number of weeks just in case Sancho didn’t happen. It would be interesting to know what kind of work was being carried out on these alternatives.

you guys totally kept it lit! The fans have been great but the deal was always 99% dead in August and totally dead when they’d let it go on nearly 2 months. They’ll always get 100 or more for Sancho. Covid or not. In fact I’d say they would be delighted if he spent another few years there, they win stuff and get a little less money for him. Instead of us sending out a message that we wont be fleeced Dortmund have sent out a message that they won’t be bullied or messed around. They were totally open to the sale because the player wanted to come and they were transparent the whole way through. It’s Utd who’ve come out of this looking like the small time club and it happens any time we've tried to compete with Dortmund over transfers recently. Zorc > Woodward

Easy deal and Ed Woodward? They don’t belong in the same sentence.

Every year the same happens and people get sucked into it.

The club hiring added security for Woodward a few days ago makes all the more sense right now...

Wow now that Dembele is off it really looks like we are going to just stump up the fee and buy Sancho, what a window!

How foolish of us. We should just come straight to you to find out the outcome of each transfer saga.
Yeah, I would have told you to stop searching on twitter and stop getting triggered by a pic.

We’ve had the money all summer, one horse race, CL football, player wanted the move, Dortmund willing to sell.

We knew the price, was as easy as buying a bar of chocolate. Except Ed thought he’s clever.

We’ve spent what? more than half the layout on basic-bitch players.

Agreed with the last bit for sure. And looking at our form, if we don’t make CL, we might as well give up hope of signing him.

We talk about Spurs with their stadium debt and Arsenal and their American owners et al...

We’ve lost a one-horse race.

Without sounding pessimistic, I certainly don’t see how we make top 4 this year now with the current mess we have. We have some major issues in defence which were masked last season by stats which showed we conceded 30 less than the previous season. Unfortunately it’s a prime example of stats skewing reality. In the last 10 games or so of the season, we only conceded about 7/8 goals but what was concerning was every one of them was due to an individual error. Unfortunately, this year we are getting punished a lot more for them.
