Yeah, let's lump them all in the same boat with no regard whatsoever for context.
The point was the "He's 33 not 62" shit is irrelevant, there are lots of top players, especially forwards, done by this age. Cavani is closer to 34 than 33 and hasn't played for months while being nothing but an injury prone bit parter at PSG for the year prior to that. Constantly making excuses for these shit show signings is how Woodward and co keep getting away with their shit.

Quoted for potential egg on face moment....could bite me in the a*s though
I honestly don't give a feck mate, either way it's irrelevant, I remember getting swamped when I said Ighalo was a desperation bum signing but it turned out to be the case, the PL isn't the league for injury prone, aging forwards, Falcao and Higuain are perfect recent examples of this. The club is so broken I really can't see any fix for at least 3 more seasone, it'll be more EL than CL for us.

Did you ever think that having a prolonged break might actually help him and his body recover from years of playing football at the highest level? Maybe that was partly why he's started struggling with injuries recently...

No but he's been injured and a bit younger so I think he'll be eased in quite slowly, much like he did with Greenwood initially.
Thats our problem, Williams isn't good enough but thats for another day

No because that's horseshit, every player comes down the other side of the mountain in their 30's bar the truly exceptional few, he's just past it, I don't get why some are trying to convince themselves that this is a good signing, Benfica were his only prior offer and he's been a free agent for 6 months, come on man, be real, this is the absolute desperation it smells like.

I think you're wrong. Time will tell won't it.

You know if you say this 5 times while looking into a mirror the ghost of Busby comes back and gives you a wedgie! Just saying we're Manchester United doesn't mean anything.

And the same with pointing out that Matic is 32. At the very least he would be facing tough competition(The reality is Partey would have to take Matics place in the team). Sancho was guaranteed to start if we brought him this season Partey wasn't.

Getting annoyed at players United were never going to sign doesn't seem like a very smart idea imo.
Nah lad, I’m not having it, we still have massive pull, Liverpool have it too, despite being crap on the field for 30 years. The new signing Telles is the latest player to mention how big of a club he thinks we are. Sancho clearly wanted to come, so again, that reinforces the point. We have the biggest fan base in the world, and the most league titles in England, we are still a giant club, it’s only our board room are operating things like idiots. I’m not being biased.

As for Matic, he has clearly shown himself to be patchy over the time he’s been here. He can have great games and I like him but he’s on the wrong side of 30 and only recently got back into the team again after long spells on the bench. When we buy players, we should be getting ones to immediately improve the first team and Partey would do that. He might even bench pogba and play next to Matic for some games. Matic could go to the bench for some games too.

We might have other priorities like center back and right wing but defensive midfield is close behind those positions and since we didn’t spend the sancho money, 45m for a player as good as Partey is good business. Obviously I hope he doesn’t do well for Arsenal but that’s unlikely.
Anyway, water under the bridge now.

I thought this was dead! Hopefully this goes through. Arsenal are so thick, why didn't they just leave him there in the first place. They've also acted like pricks in the Torreira deal it appears.
If he's not in the right state of mind and not deemed ready yet then he should go. It would be a lot better than going to Fulham and ship 3 goals every weekend. They could make it a 6

I guess theres one club that had a worse day than us. Couldn’t get Depay. Can’t offload Dembele. Couldn’t get Garcia. Messi is reluctantly staying and their boardroom is as just as big disarray as ours.

Sancho will never be a United player after this summer shit show. I think that's very clear now
Should start a thread with this as the title & leave it there.

We’ve missed the boat on this one, in fact we ran the boat ashore then set it alight.

They still will be UCL though. They still will be in it for al the local cups. They did not have a worse day than us.

The English transfer window is now shut.

On a side note, Atletico de Madrid sign Lucas Torreira on loan until the end of the season.

£37 mil on Diallo and another £9-10mil on Pellistri. Why would we then spend big on Sancho next season.
Isn't it 20 + 20 in addons for Diallo? If he's a success 40 mil is a very fair price. I just hope Pellistri can show something until january. We need someone on that right wing. At least as a sub.
