That's pretty much what he said though no?He can answer that first question much better. He's been in this game far too long to not knowing what his answer would be interpreted.
He can give generic answer like "Madrid is a great club, but right now my focus is on Man United".
That's basically a come get me plea to Madrid.
He said it in an interview himself. I would have gotten rid of him along with Lukaku last year just so we don't have to deal with him and Riaola ever again.
His bad form is just tanking his value, no way Real takes him off us for a huge fee.
United are stuck between a rock & a hard place with Pogba.Anything above 60mil is good. We could get a top CB to replace him. Then our team is much better.
Even worse, he was committed to us until it because clear the pandemic meant no one could afford him.I would sell this particular virus to Madrid.
He was all committed to us again when we were on a winning run at the back end of last season. As soon as things get tough again, he’s off spouting this again. Awfully toxic player with absolutely no bottle. Get rid. It’s just a shame Madrid won’t want him.
No it wasn’t. Such an easy question to bat away. “I don’t want to talk about Madrid. We’ve had a tough start to the season at United and we need to focus on our next game blah blah blah” Basic stuff which he’ll have been trained on by the club’s media experts and seen loads of other players do before. That's pretty much what he said though no?
That's exactly the same though, just lawyered up wording. Maybe I just dont dont trust a single things footballers say and it's me that is off, but I dont see why people get annoyed by shite said in these interviews. No it wasn’t. Absolutely no need to talk about how he dreams to play for Madrid and might do so one day. Yet that’s what he said and here we are.

He doesn't deserve a new contract though. This interview is intended to put pressure on the glazers so they shit a brick and offer him another 5 year contract with another 150k a week rise. Noone has enquired about him so he needs his last big contract here. I would try selling him for 60 mill in Jan and again in the summer. No one is paying 100 mill for himHe says the club have made no contact with him over a new contract? If this is the case he has at most this season and will be sold in the summer. You can’t blame him for looking for his next club if this is true.
Sanchez only said that when he went that was bullshit. It's like a kid refused something then saying I never wanted it anyway.Let’s no kid ourselves, it won’t be long before VDB, Bruno and Martial are saying the same thing. This club has issues, Sanchez wanting to leave after his first training session says it all.
You guys just get on here and say anythingVDB has come in and in three games looks much more up to the fight that Pogba ever has
From the position he plays? Are people on this forum OK?His goals and assists level is far too low for his perceived value.
Er, what? This is one of those ridiculously pessimistic posts predicting our inevitable plummet to mid table mediocrity that has absolutely no basis in reality. What’s the recurring theme in players like of Di Maria, Sanchez and to a lesser extent Pogba? They all have massive egos, they all failed here, they all came in on massive money and none of them were prepared to give their all. United are certainly part of the problem, but a large part of that can be attributed to those very same players that were brought in and dressed up as some sort of silver bullet to all our problems (Di Maria, Sanchez, Pogba). They all certainly acted like they were above United. You can’t just lump in all of our players like they’re some great big monolith.Let’s no kid ourselves, it won’t be long before VDB, Bruno and Martial are saying the same thing. I don't think Ole has a choice about Pogba. It was the same with Mourinho. The difference is Ole hasn't given up on the team and doesn't want to poison the internal dressing room atmosphere. He would rather keep quiet and bench Pogba for half a season. Mourinho on the other hand was very vocal about getting rid of him cause Mourinho already foresaw what would happen if he didn't.At this point I'd love to see him go. VDB has come in and in three games looks much more up to the fight that Pogba ever has, and he is technically gifted as well. Sure Pogba has the ability to sometime drift though midfield like it's effortless, but he does that infrequently and it rarely ends up generating a chance. His goals and assists level is far too low for his perceived value.
I don't get that on one point Ole goes on about the mentality of the player and them needing to want to be here and honour the shirt, leaving everything on the field each and every game - and then we have Pogba.
With Bruno/VDB here now we are less reliant on him. If anyone offered north of 80M for him in January/next summer I'd send him over with candy and a stripper.
Don't do this to yourself. Expectations only increase the pain afterwards.I expect things to be different after the international break.
And what about De Gea? He wouldnt be here if it wasnt for the fax machine, im not a negative person but this has been a theme at the club since SAF retired. When do we start looking in the mirror as a club? All these players cant be wrong, theres issues at this club.Er, what? He was the one who brought in Pogba to this club in the first place.Jose was right all along, about almost everything.
City game he was excellent. 3-2 win 2018/2019Whenever I’ve seen him in the flesh at Old Trafford, which is only 3 or 4 times, you can see that in terms of touch, technique and skill, he’s a class above most of the other players.
But then let me ask this. Can anyone list 3 big games where he’s taken the game by the scruff of the neck, dominated the play and turned things round, winning us the match?
I can’t, and in fairness I can’t think of even one but there must be some examples right?!
Having watched The Last Dance and having seen a lot of Roy Keane, this guys seems a million miles away from the character and win at all costs mentality you need at the highest level.I think Pogba is a really nice guy outside of football, but I don't believe he is ready to fight for our club and isn't the type of player to lift a team low on confidence or morale.
He's going to be class for a well-oiled machine, but the guy struggles when the odds are up against him and he has to be a driving force. Not good enough when we consider the expectations and the financial package we have invested into him. Someone can probably calculate hom much Pogba has cost so far, in terms of fees for the transfer, for the agent and his wage, plus bonuses. It will most definitely be an eye-watering sum that we could have put into improving the whole squad.
Ok. Which one?City game he was excellent.
3-2 win 2018/2019Ok. Which one?
Probably only the game against Arsenal when DDG made tons of saves and Pogba got the red card. He toyed Xhaka & their defense apart. And also the 2nd half against city when we were 2-0 down in first but won the game 3-2 at Etihad to stop them celebration title in Manchester derby. The Chelsea game in FA cup when Ole took over as interim manager was also good one.Whenever I’ve seen him in the flesh at Old Trafford, which is only 3 or 4 times, you can see that in terms of touch, technique and skill, he’s a class above most of the other players.
