That England team is too attacking. Phillips should be in there for Rash/DCL to create better balance.

Great now we are down 9 players. At this rate we won't have a team to play Finland.

What’s Southgate obsession with Trippier. He’s like the first name on team sheet every time.

James Mc Clean doesn’t half go on does he always moaning, complaining and arguing. Does more of that than actually playing football.
I thought his days as an international were over about a year and a half ago.

Is it not a typical 3-5-2 side? No Kane so DCL starts. No Sterling so Rashford starts.
Mount is the most strange pick. Grealish deserved to start or Sancho.
You can't play 3-5-2 with so many attacking options :houllier:

Pickford back in the goal is ridiculous

Trippier as left-wing-back is :nono:

But yeah the biggest joke is that Grealish is back on the bench

He might get in more trouble, seemed to push the guy he fouled head into the ground or slap him after he was sent off.

They did in the world cup though and it worked. You do have a squad for that formation I think.
Although two defensive midfielders feels a bit too much.

Frustrating that we've been the better side now in two games in a row and won neither. Suppose it's better than being the worse team 90% of the time. Wasn't that impressed with Wales, thought that they were supposed to have greatly improved, maybe just a poor game from them though.

After that lineup... couldn't care less if they win. He's pissing me off.

Yeah seen that then gone into a shoving match with the Wales player. He if wasn’t running about like a headless chicken half the time he wouldn’t have gotten sent off..

You must play 4-3-3 (with two attacking midfielders) with Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Sancho, Greenwood, Ings & Calvert-Lewin as forward options and Grealish, Foden, Barkley, Mount, Maddison & Alli as attacking midfield options.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
9 changes from the Wales game. Was always going to happen with the players having payed so much recently. Would be 11 if not for Kane's injury and there seemingly not being any English left backs in the world available.

Pickford's day will come at the Euro's. Seaman, Green, Hart career's all came to an end at a tournament.

Praying Maguire has a semi-competent game, needs a good performance after his Tottenham horror show.

Henderson. So there's gonna be a lot of 2 yard sideways passing to pad his stats and plenty of hoofs out of play.

Both Hazards are out. So are Courtois and Vertonghen. Mertens (and Vermaelen) couldn't join the squad due to Corona-regulations.

So: Mignolet, Alderweireld, Denayer, Boyata, Meunier, Witsel, Tielemans, Castagne, De Bruyne, Carrasco, Lukaku. Something like that.
That team just confirmed on twitter. Think England have a good chance of winning if they keep KDB quiet.

Mind you just seen the England set up and really can't work out the formation, I thought Kyle Walker at LB but then saw Alex Arnold in so perhaps he's at right midfield, Walker in a back 3 and Tripper on the left?

In the final third though surely the ideal time to put Grealish behind two strikers instead of Mount.
