The leaked line up was really bad. Starting Mata over Donny.

The actual line up is so many degrees worse

Ole isn't making November at this rate.

Mct and James in same lineup. Bloody fecking hell. Plan is parking the bus and play on long balls. Parking the bus against Newcastle. feck me

Mason Greenwood absence remains a mystery
Solskjaer may enlighten us soon, but the absence of Greenwood would suggest his hand has been forced with the front three. Perhaps Greenwood got injured in the last training session before United flew up here on Friday evening.

We've lost the midfield battle against everyone we've come up against this season in the PL. Hopefully, the introduction of Fred and McTominay, who were both fantastic for large parts of the year last season will bring that much-needed urgency and dynamism to our midfield.
    Untrue.

They were good backing Fernandes who was signed at the back end of January, football ceased around March - we were shocking before Bruno & they didn’t feature much after Project Restart.

2 functional midfielders who I hope do a job tonight but ‘fantastic’ they are not/have not been.

So much drama over VDB. Maybe he's just tired? He and Pogba both played the internationals.

For sure, I'd rather us have gone all out for Sancho but it is what it is. Complaints of playing James and Mata but there's literally no alternative unless you want to see Lingard back.

Such a sad state we are in. Just watched the '07 game against Newcastle again. We had Rooney, Ronaldo and Nani starting... Just imagine that.

Gotta wonder why we got him them. I mean I’m all for squad depth but I’m not sure we’re in a position to blow our summer budget on a player who doesn’t get picked.

Should have put Bruno on the right and Donny in the #10
I rate him but I'm starting to wonder that myself.

He could most likely help us out quite a bit if he actually played more than 10 mins a match in the league. He showed for Holland that his class hasn't gone anywhere

Why not play 3-5-2? Or a diamond with McT, Fred, Bruno and Van De Beek? This is shoehorning Mata & James.

OGS pre match - “ we need to stop them
Playing, they have players who can hurt us”

Newcastle FFS!!! Totally out of his depth and tactically done!

"We hope to make it difficult for Newcastle"

That was the moment Moyes was done.

Please, more than happy to have egg on my face, but please watch James during the game. Just watch him for a ten to fifteen minute period. See if his famed pace is actually real. I beg of the cafe.

(I might of had a scotch or three)

Our weakness is defence - our strength is attack.

Yes we set up every game to fecking put pressure on to our defence, and stifle our attack.

Todays plan is simple, if by some miracle we manage to play it out from the back, pass it to Bruno and hope. Or otherwise, kick it long to James and let him run and hope.

Based on the line-up he's switched from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1. 2 defensive midfielders in central midfield versus the 1 that we've started with so far.
We’ve been playing matic & Pogba in the pivot of the 4-2-3-1, what are you on about :wenger:

The line up is so shit that there is unfair criticism that is bound to be directed at the players.

The manager has no clue, no tactics, and no plan. We love you Ole but time is up

Tbh I was mad as hell looking at the line-up as well but if Greenwood is really injured there is not much Ole can do up front. To not strenghten our wings in the summer is a crime.

Reminds me of the time Rooney was injured and then Martial was too.
    Rashford came to the fore.

    So erm...no we're stuffed.

Funny thing is you would think there being no crowds would help James, but it really hasn't.

Those that charge 15 quid for people to watch this team tonight should be charged with fraud as that isn´t even a remotely fair pricing. It´s really sad that for a club of this size that is the line up for a league match. This club deserves to fail for being completely inept at running the football side of the club.
I've ordered it but only because I won 250 quid on a 6 team accumulator today. Otherwise I would have been staying away from illegal streams for definite!

Not having a good 10 in front of them was not their fault. They did their jobs as holding midfielders!

Our midfield is perhaps the best-most stable midfield we can set-up for this kind of game, letting our forwards and Bruno to focus more on attacking.

Pogba and Matic to be impact subs if needed.

Our forwards though... why James though? another chance? final? GW getting injured/dropped is annoying, more on the player than the manager. VDB or Pogba at LW is far better choices.

To be honest McT hasn't looked a footballer in his last outings for us.

Am I dreaming that we played them together this season and got s**t output in that game?
Not allowed to mention that mate, they looked decent behind Bruno for just over a month last season & people have extrapolated that over a longer period.
