I don't see it as any issue. I assume the total sum of money for transfer is the same, it is just a matter how much goes to the selling club and to the player in the form of signing fee. In what right does the club own his registration deserve to earn the maximum amount of money out of the player in transfer? or in what way does the club deserve and earn "loyalty" from players? In the very end player can refuse contract extension and leave for free.Plus he must've known when he put that release clause in, that he can get a feck load more money in the form of a signing on bonus when he leaves for that price.
