The resident troll is ignoring me. How wil i cope...
Maybe by researching how you spend over 200m on attackers and set up more defensively against us than Palace and Brighton?
This game has really annoyed me!

Even your own player said it was a 50/50 decision

Oh and it wasn't just the ref, it's was those on VAR as well. Seems the only one who thinks it was a stonewall was you. What does that tell you...
It tells me you and them are retarded.

50 50 my ass

Ridiculously good today.

I think the slow start to his career (his illness and playing in shit league's till mid 20s) is coming to his benefit now, doesn't look like the typical 36 year old.

Yawn. The only thing that saved you was the ref.
Lets not ignore the elephant in the room. After spending a shit load of money, Chelsea look just as shit as last season. Tremendous progress. A 36 year old was your best player.

Is the same 36 year old that was going to get found out in the great PL?

Like I said, he’s just played behind a double decker bus. Titus bramble would have looked sensational in that 10 man wall tonight. Let’s see how he gets on when he has to defend near the halfway line.

We played high against Palace who are a very dangerous counter attacking side (as all the top six have found out in a number of occasions) and they didn't get a sniff.

I had no idea how elegant of a player Silva is. Absolute whipped cream this lad.
He is. Was even more so his prime, when his technical ability went together with stunning pace & agility.

We should have picked him up! I always rated him. Excellent short term signing. Class is permanent.

Does make me chuckle when people talk about 36 as if it's 56. Carl Lewis was winning olympic gold medals at 36.

If you are a great athlete and take care of yourself, you can be fine at 36. How old was Giggs when he retired?

Don't know if you mean me, but I didn't mean it as a putdown or something - he's still a class player, and of course a top level athlete. It's more praise for the level of athleticism he had until around age 30, which was simply spectacular.

It's not you, it's a ton of posters.

As an old fart I find it very hurtful.

He’s still a good player but tonight proved very little except the fact he’s still good when surrounded by 9 other men in defence, it was a cowardly second half form Chelsea really.

He was really good. He and Zouma compliment each other well. What Zouma lacks in experience and ball playing abilities he makes up for in pace, recovery speed and pure athleticism. For a short term rental, as the Americans would say, he looks like a very good deal and one that Chelsea can benefit from for years if the someone like Zouma learns from him.

Genuine question here - is he the best CB in the league now that VVD is hurt? I'd be interested to hear arguments for or against given how secure we've looked at the back of late.

To be fair you didn't wait for that before you wrote him off.

A very good player still, but I’d give it a few games before asking that question. He’s played what, 5 games?

Yep something along those lines - for me I'd have him comfortably over Laporte though who'd be the runner up.

Guess I'd put it this way - there isn't a centre half in the league I'd swap Silva for if my life depended on a clean sheet (obviously aside from VVD).

This man is just quality. I love how hes not just a sweeper but gets stuck in puts his body on the line. His passing out the back is fantastic. Frank has to keep handling him properly. He doesnt need to play every game like krasnador away it was good he didnt travel. Keep him well rested.

Losing to Comeback Winning!
Isn't Burnley just shit this season... not much to get proud of.
Playing with 5 defenders vs United before this helps a lot = easier to defend.

Thiago Silva is still quality of course.

With Thiago it's often a matter of context. He's probably not the best in the league when it comes to defending agressivly high on the pitch, he's also often reluctant to take any risks with his passing. But when it comes to reading plays and pure defensive skills, i can't really see anyone who can match his abilities.

4 games, 2 of which were vs Burnley and Krasdosomething. It'd be a good idea to wait a tad longer or you'd have Lindelof queuing up for the prize.

Definitely think he's the best CB to ever play for Chelsea. Not in his current guise but overall.

VVD hadn’t been good since before lockdown. Even many Pool fans argue this by now. Silva is a great player.
