If you know the difference between mediocrity and real quality, maybe you wouldn't get so irritated. Don't lie to yourself. You like to defend him.
We were superb in those champions league games. Even your sort can't argue that.

Without those games, the whole site would rightly be calling for a sacking, as you can't get 1 point from 4 home games as United manager.

Flukes wins? Like that 5-0 against Leipzig? Or the PSG away win?

You're an exceptionally irritating type of poster, as I'm stewing after that game, and you're making me defend him!
In fairness @Sandikan, I think ANY manager in the World with this squad is capable of getting the occasional brilliant result.

Carrick or Phelan in charge would likely also get some cracking results, but consistency is the mark of a top manager, plain & simple.

Blame the players for today and praise the manager for the mid week win? Sound logic.
No. You give credit to both when we win. You criticize both when we lose.

There is nothing knee jerk about being outraged with 7 points from 6 games.
Not the best but it is not end of the world. Win game in hand and we are 6 p from 1st position.

Absolutly. When we draw/lose this thred is 10 pages bigger in 10 minutes. When we win it is calm.

Pogba was awful. But you can't change 6-7 player who underperformed.
When more than half your team are underperforming on a regular basis you have to look to the manager to get them out of it somehow. One or two players fine but not the whole team.

That's how most clubs are.
People will celebrate the wins themselves, but if you lose of course there's loads to debate on.

When you're United though, defeats are magnified in importance.

Everyone should just do what I do, change your vote depending on if we win or lose, then you won’t all have to argue. :D

Nah, I'm impartial lad. Unlike you I have objectiveity and don't entrench myself in stubborn arrogant beliefs. Sure my vote is still for him to stay. Just your kind are fecking mind numbingly tedious at this stage. All you do is condescend anyone's opinions that differ to yours.
I think you’re being a bit overly sensitive here. I was simply commenting on the posters who are nowhere to be seen after a good result, and have a field day after we drop points. There’s plenty of them in here.

A lot of us have been Ole out from day one.

You go can climb back under yours and continue to live in mediocrity. If he hadn't played for us and won us trophies he would've never been hired in first place.
How noble of you.

Eh, just look at the numbers. I’m not going to list the posters for you. You can see by the posts but yeah you just put your blindfold on.
I’m firmly in the Ole out camp ever since he has been hired as a caretaker.
Didn’t post after the RB win, didn’t post I think after Chelsea’s draw either, won’t post after today’s loss either. For me it’s clear we aren’t going anywhere and some of Ole In camp are behind him no matter what so it makes the whole debate pointless.
Might just wait he’s officially sacked to visit this forum more often..

When we win, they even create fecking threads about that single win. For years we were laughing to Liverpool's fans about that. Now after both CL wins we got few "Ole is amazing" threads.
These people are just deluded in a way that no conversation is possible even when after we are trashed 6-1 at home.
And few of them are just WUMs...
Aye, I pointed this out earlier.

If we need to go making threads on a Manchester United manager when he wins a home CL group game, it says it all. It's so fecking small time. Sometimes it's like Ole is an adorable little puppy and when he wins he gets all this praise and patting on the back and when he loses, sure it's not his fault. I'll repeat, he's the manager of Manchester United!

This win the game in hand bullshit and we are ...that keeps appearing. How about we lose the game in hand, whats the excuse then?

Happy being my sort.

No I never said that at all. I havent mentioned Mourinho or Fergie. A team who gains more points than the year before is improving for me, not one with the same points. If Usain Bolt runs 100m at 9.65 then runs the same time in the next race would anyone say he had improved?
Firstly, football and Athletics don't go the same way. Football has way more variables than a 100m dash. If you want to give an analogy, you need to choose a better sport.

Secondly, If Bolt runs 9.65 this year and 9.6 the year after, but a competitor beats him in the 2nd race, I'm quite sure he'd be sad - the reason being that someone else improved more than him.

No they have not. When we win, it goes all quiet. When we lose, the knives come out, it’a knee jerk all the way.
What is the point posting then? Did you see this place when we win some rare game. I posted after one of our win. Ole in brigade went crazy on me. Not on my post about style, subs and football stuff. They went directly ad hominem.

I do think that this thread is pointless though.

I’ve always said the micro criticism Ole gets is bollocks. It is. There are some people blaming and some praising him for the same thing at times. It’s mad.

And I just don’t agree with 90% of the complaints about Ole. So much of what’s posted about him and the team is just not true. I should ignore that crap and mostly I do. But I’ve also defended Ole and said that you have to look across a whole season to understand the results and performances in context.

Last season we finished third. It’s possible we could do as well, or better, this season. But in my opinion he is now one more consecutive league defeat from getting the sack. It would be a shame but I think he needs to win the next game or he’s out.

If he does get sacked we’ll no doubt get Poch which I don’t think will go well at all.

You need to stop with this fake news. People that want him out have generally remained consistent. .

Just because you throw around cliched phrases, it doesn't make it true.
Besides a few, most people were content with last season and said he deserved another one. We admittedly had a rotten start to our PL campaign this year, but yeah, this is very much knee jerk.

Who is thriving in the mess we're in?!
I don't know how long you've been a United fan, but I'm certainly someone who remembers the top teams!

Like with Jose, it feels like Poch is a route we have to go down.
If only to stop it constantly being bandied about for years afterwards.

People can debate without hiding like turtles when we win. There is a Anti-Solskjaer agenda here from many. No needing to deny that. Today wasn't good performence but we have to not go overboard.

Hate to say it but you can't have a manager who can only win in europe but is hopeless in the league
I'm with you, league has to come first and not cup competitions even though it's the CL. 6 points in 7 games, changing formation for every game is a recipes for disaster. 4 home games and no wins.

Like it or not lads & lasses Ole isn't good enough to be our manager so early on in his management career. How many matches does he need? He's had 100 matches and a few God games in CL doesn't cover up our league form.

It is just strange how up and down we are. I guess there is a lack of clear tactics and coaching though to help the players when things get hard.

The problem with Ole is he seems to go on long runs one way or the other.
We're on another long run of shocking home runs now, and I'm not sure he'll solve it any time soon.

God no. We finally, FINALLY have to be progressive. Go with Rose, Nagelsmann or Hasenhütl.

Champions league games can always create a hangover for the next league game. But that was something more worrying today.

You look at this game and you would think Arteta had been there 2 years and Ole was the novice! Arteta shouting cajoling his players praising and bollocking, meanwhile Ole once again sits in his seat with his head in his hands, woe is me. Arsenal as a team have come on leaps and bounds, meanwhile our expensive team looks as bereft of ideas as ever. Ole said we will see the real Utd now and he was telling the truth. Unless we play an ultra attacking team who leave us loads of space to run in, it looks like we havent a clue.

Because you see it from one side only. You refuse to see any flaws with him and are only concerned with belittling the other sides opinions.
He got flaws. Like every other manager. Where have I said he didn't have flaws? I even said in matchthread he has to take blame for first half. It is about being rational when we talk about him.
