Microsoft has confirmed the entertainment apps available on Xbox Series X and S at launch.

Apps already available on Xbox One will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Microsoft said. These include the likes of Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Spotify, Sky Go, Now TV and Amazon Prime Video.

But also out on 10th November is the Apple TV app. That's for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Here's the list Microsoft provided in its announcement today (there will be more apps than on this list at launch, Microsoft stressed):

  • Netflix
  • Disney+
  • HBO Max
  • Spotify
  • YouTube
  • YouTube TV
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Hulu
  • NBC Peacock
  • Vudu
  • FandangoNow
  • Twitch
  • Sky Go
  • Now TV
  • Sky Ticket
Meanwhile, Microsoft confirmed the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos tech is supported on Netflix, Disney+, and Vudu.

My wish may come true. I hope things change for one person whose name begins with E on the 19th.

I was thinking of buying the PS5 for a while but starting to lean towards getting the Series X, really like the look of this console. Obviously won’t be able to buy one any time soon but least I’ll get to see the reviews of both before making my mind up.

I'd like to think that this time next week I'll be playing my new Series X. I'll probably be in the middle of getting all my games on to it though. Wonder how fast that'll be, being that they'll be coming from a standard fairly cheap nvme SSD?

Would it not be quicker just to redownload from the Store?

With Microsoft purchasing Bethesda studios I’m guessing it’s a given that the new Elder Scrolls and Fallout games will be Xbox/PC exclusive? That may just sway my decision on which console to buy. They’ve purchased a good few studios actually and potentially look like having a good library of exclusives on Xbox for next gen.

Yes, they will. However it'll be a number of years before they're released so if you're mainly looking at buying the console for the Bethesda games, you may be better off waiting a couple of years or so for the games to come out with the bonus of the console coming down in price as well.

Big Phil is against that though isn't he? You know, as a gamer looking out for gamers...

In this day and age of crazy news cycles, comes the nugget that Chris Eubank, former WBO Super middlewight champion, will be teaming up with Argos to deliver Xbox Series X and S next week
Hope he delivers PS5 too and chins @esmufc07.

Expansion card will be a must on the Series S. 512 GB was tiny in the first place, but I suppose that is how they could then sell it at the price range it is. a 1TB SSD would put it in with the PS5 digital which would make the Series S even more redundant.

I suppose you have the option still of playing/swapping games of a HDD at least.

It still says there out of stock when you go to select a retailer. :(

Anyone got any idea when these will be back in stock? Seen an article in which one of the guys from Xbox said it could be a few months after launch before there available again, I really hope not though.

It works for me. Can add it to basket.
