The club can't afford to have no Champions League money next season with the covid uncertainty, he will get sacked soon
Yep. We beat Everton & look great. Everyone gets hyped, we talk about “turning a corner” then we draw 0-0 with West Brom & move back to square 1.Then we get beaten in next game or 2 after then win again and play great then get beaten and so on.
Would you take a defeat here if you knew Ole would get the bullet if we lostEvery time Ole looks finished we pull off a great result.
3-0 United.

He hasn't really got us playing well for whole games, just a short spell in games that get him a good result now and again. He has had some outstanding results which have covered over the performances. He’s improved so many players, he’s got us playing well and he finished third.
Most of the cafe saying last year we would challenge.
Now after a few PL games he should leave, absolute bollocks.
I’d give him two more seasons at least. A reset isn’t a short process.
We need stability, sacking him mid season isn’t right, please don’t do it Eddie.

Whether you want Ole sacked or not, a little perspective is needed. Just a week ago we were on a high having beaten the CL finalist and semi finalist comfortably.
Beat Everton, WBA and the Turkish team at OT, the whole narrative will change again. I think Ole himself put it best last night, "Nothing becomes history quicker than a game of football".
The fact the pressure is being cranked up and the media are now talking about him getting the sack, we'll win on Saturday. It's the Ole way, its the pattern, we've seen it time and time again.

I'll quote you on this one.We won't win all three, feel pretty confident in saying that.

I mean, it would be better long term for the club yes, but I don’t think I could ever root for us to lose, no.Would you take a defeat here if you knew Ole would get the bullet if we lost
That's the spirit!!I hope you do!
Bizarre post
This season it looks like not many players have improved at all, especially the players he has bought, such as maguire. His already ruining VDB, Pogba has been terrible and so many players are still inconsistent.
Most of the caf said last year we ain't good enough, Ole did well at the end but hugely benefitted from a lockdown and the lesser teams struggled. 3rd place finish was NEVER an accurate picture of how good we were, but financially a good outcome.
And finally, it's not after few PL we want him gone, I didn't want him in the first place and by the end of last summer I knew he wasn't good enough.
Why can't fans see that he just isn't a good manager and coach?
If you were to ask any PL teams on who will take Ole, none would. That says everything.
Would be madness to do it beforehand. Let Solskjaer take the almost inevitable loss and sack him. Then hope the international break and home game against West Brom can provide us with some kind of reset. Will he even make Saturday? Noises coming out that we’ve approached Poch. Not much coming back from that.

That's the point I'm trying to make though. After the CL groups were drawn, if you were told we'd be top of our group with 6 points in 3 games, would you have called for the manager to be sacked?I mean we are expected to defeat WBA and Istanbul at home. Hardly manager future defining games if you asked me.

We have 7 points from 6 games in the league. Last year in those corresponding fixtures we had 10 points. Is a deficit of 3 points enough for the manager to be sacked?
To put in perspective, if we beat Everton and City beat Pool, we'll be 6 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand, likely 7 points off the top with a game in hand. Is this position enough for the manager to be sacked?
If performances are your barometer for judging the manager, then for the shambolic performances last night and against Spurs, we have pretty good performances against PSG and Leipzig.
I'm not someone who posts a lot in those Ole out/in threads, but I did want to post here that a little bit of perspective is necessary. If you go into it thinking the manager must be sacked or must be kept, you'll lose perspective. For what it's worth, personally, I don't think we ought to sacking Ole just yet.
The buck stops at the board. They don’t care who’s in charge or where we finish as long as Manchester United the brand keep making profit.
It’s not Oles fault he’s inexperienced and absolutely useless at tactics and motivation etc, its the boards fault in thinking a few wins during the caretaker period warranted a big contract.
Part of what Keane said is correct, these players will throw any manager under the bus, and he’s correct.
If I was an incoming manager I would rebuild(again) using;
Henderson
AWB
Maguire
Telles
VDB
Fernandes
Rashford
Greenwood
the rest are constantly under performing and can go piss up a rope for all I care.

I can understand this line of thinking, but again I'd say there are extenuating circumstances. And I realise it can sound like excuses but for me the first 3 games we weren't fit enough. Personally I thought our performances against Newcastle, PSG, Chelsea, Leipzig were all pretty good. The last 2 games have undoubtedly been disappointing, but I still think it's too soon to talk of sacking Ole.The problem is, when we had a crap start during last season in the league, you could actually excuse this a little bit as a board due to injuries, players absent, terrible squad with Lingard and Periera starting all the time.. Etc. Nothing of these excuses are eligible for the current start since this is the full team who finished the last season on strong note and got 3rd and we are having a similarly poor start.
It's really annoying overall how the title challenge this season seemed wide open from the start but we are again in another top 4 slugfest. Every season is similar to the last one, each one of them we fought for our lives to get top 4 at the end. This season just looks like copy past from last one but with better squad. Isn't it enough time to start doing something more than top 4 slugfest every season?

Regarding the title challenge, based on the transfer window we had, I really am not expecting anything close to that. Had we got Thiago and Sancho, then yeah it would have been a fair argument to expect us to really push City and Pool. But we didn't really improve any starting position so in my eyes we are still far off the top 2.
