He's full Mancunian with that accent. Anyway, English football has always had an uneasy relationship with the European Cup/CL, especially now with talk of that superleague, don't expect things to change.

I prefer this version of Ole compared to the passive Mr Agreeable that we see week in week out.

More of that please.

Yeah, it's always been like it.

Excuses
How can it be excuses man. We won the game and even had a legit pen or two denied.......

Its only excuses if we play poor and or lose and we did neither.

Make no mistake, had this been Jose, Klopp or Pep we'd be tearing them to shreds for losing their cool and moaning/ making excuses. In fact, we've done the same to Fat Rafa and Keegan in the past.

Chelsea had the same situation last week after flying out to Russia and then having a 3pm Saturday kick off against Burnley.

He just needs to focus on keeping his job and not on external factors which he has little to no control over.
Chelsea played Tuesday not Wednesday that week so no, not the same at all.

Oles having moan about something we all think is unfair, yes all the big clubs in England have the same problem and all the big club managers have at some point had a good whinge about it,nothing wrong with ole standing up for his players it's good management.

Its absolutely nothing like Rafa's pre meditated fact rant or Keegan's head exploding after some fergie mind games.

Pushback from managers of the big clubs in the PL doesn't go entirely unnoticed though. When you reserve your frustrations for the rare blow out against factors which can actually be rectified for future games, I have nothing but praise for this.

You could already expect it from his "more about that later" comment. Shaws injury probably racked up his anger a notch or two. Tense? Yes. Cracking? Far from it, I'd say.

UK, hun?
in my opinion mate, if your board hasn't backed you in the window and we end up getting injuries and falling because of a hectic schedule. You can blame the authorities all you want but the real reason we end up falling is because of the club. I don't care whether he has told Ed or not personally, but he shouldn't be blaming anyone and should be looking closer to home.
Fergie used to do exactly that constantly. It's a way of galvanising the players and fans and creating a siege mentality, it's a common tactic used by managers far and wide. He shouldn't air our dirty laundry in public and besides, what is the sense of City and Liverpool not playing today when they last played on Tuesday?

Cracking is doing that after a loss, not after a win. Too right Ole. Out of the Fergie playbook, and because he doesn't do it much it has a greater impact.

He didn't look livid, he looked weak as hell. Like a little kid trembling because he got let off for being in big big trouble.

Good to see some fight in him. About time someone at the club had a dig and those in control. Want to see him get stuck into some refs next time we are fecked over.

A good point well made.

And much more effective after a great win, or it would have looked like cracking.

Nice to see him actually be aggressive this time. The media really went at him this time and he's biting back.

On I go where? You’re not making sense.
Ya because that's the crux of the issue. You're a tough guy, I get it. You'd eat men like Solskjaer for breakfast

Good to see Ole giving a but back. Good bloke and had taken an absolute hammering from all sides.

Glad we won, I will always want us to win no matter what happens or doesnt if we lose.

Still not sure I want Ole to stay in charge or get Poch. But judging by all the messages from my arsenal and Liverpool supporting friends, they are delighted today that we won and he stays in charge, as it means we don't get Poch just yet. Opposition fans obviously don't rate Ole and want him to stay.

I just hope we go on a run and Ole can prove everyone wrong. If not I hope Poch is still available to take over

Absolutely brilliant and a masterclass from the man.

Cracking up? We’ve just beat one of the better teams in the league 3-1 away from home. Perfect time to do it.
Needs to win against the shite as well.

But I'm happy he is showing passion.

Feet up at home.
Whether he stays long or goes soon I have no issue with that interview.

His point is valid and it has been for all the clubs who have played CL for years, other countries look after their representative sides much better.

He's also chosen a good time to do it on the back of a tricky away win and protected his players while showing some steel at the powers that be.

Hopefully he can also show this side in private to individuals when they need it too - coming from such a placid man a bollocking might work even better.

Check again.

Chelsea played on Wednesday 28th October at 17:55 against Krasnodar, over 2,500 miles away.

Then played again Saturday 31st October at 15:00 away to Burnley. Apart from a couple of hours, there isn't much difference between our two scenarios (Krasnodar is actually further away than Istanbul).

It bally well is. And I’m pretty sure Fox is Ole out? (apologies if I’m wrong)

Your hyperbole is being called out, and rightly so.
If you mean me, yes I want a much better manager. But I am fully supportive of him here. I am a Manchester United supporter no matter what. So when a Manchester United manager stands up for his club and his players then I fully support that stand. Anyone who does not support this stance is not a real United fan no matter if they think Ole is good enough or not. Or is a WUM.

"They wont have the pleasure to see us fail". Missed that the first time. Not sure how any United supporter wont like this Ole.

Felt premeditated and the sort of thing Fergie would do if he wanted to distract the media. We played well though, so it was a bit jarring. Perhaps he is trying to develop a sense of siege mentality with the squad?
Maguire here is of a similar mindset at the start. Certainly feels like the group is together and the wagons are being circled.

Good on ya. Ole out or in, I don’t care, so long as people would rather see the club do well than be right :)

He’s spot on, it was a joke fixture. I know nobody wants to feel sorry for big clubs but we’ve been shafted this season. We can’t be turning our nose up at any trophies but we should’ve been given the option to forfeit the League Cup, it’s a pointless competition.

If anyone thinks that wasn't intentional, then they should watch it again.

He's said it on the back of a good win, under tremendous pressure, and above all has a valid point. Not once he said the problem was exclusive to United, infact he acknowledges that others have faced it too. That doesn't invalidate his point - big club or not.

It was the same last season before the FA Cup semi against Chelsea - they had 2 extra days of rest?

@Longshanks
I think Chelsea played on Wednesday but they didn't have a lunch-time kick off on Saturday, it was afternoon, only a few hours later. It's still not the best scheduling and the more number of managers call it out the better.

He’s obviously emotional and a bit anxious but he’d hardly be the first manager to get across a valid point in a slightly edgy way. Ffs, Fergie once accused Ashley Williams of attempted milder after a game.

It’s also pretty obvious that he’d planned this speech (and, in terms of delivery at least, it didn’t really go as smoothly as planned) and was itching to get into it.

Not a big fan of Ole the coach but I see his frustrations, and empathize. Then again you cant just outright accuse the FA of setting up the fixtures in the way he is doing so.

I've just kind resigned myself to 'whatever happens happens' and so today's result wasn't a surprise but I think Ole was right there to show a bit of passion and to have a go. Although Jose got tons of flak for rants like that in his first season. It's no big deal.

Get in Ole. So many shit 'fans' in this thread responding to this negatively... I don't get the Internet
I know. I get it though. Those who spend the most time here arguing and stuff are probably the ones who have the most time to do that. They probably feel good by winning a few Internet points either by getting under someone's skin or proving that they were right. Tangible things matter very little.

It's also why I hate forums as opposed to other mediums of discussions. Every single post is given equal importance but that's not how life is. Moaners always have something to complain about and fill the forum with negative nonsense (again because they have ll the time in the world to do that). Normal reasonable fans would rather leave than engage with the drivel posted here.

Yessss. Get in there. Ole is angry. Great lets all get ourselves giddy and excited. Well done the team for winning a football game also. Now lets come back after the international break and lose our next one. Rinse repeat.
