Don't understand how we can ever get consistent performances if we keep changing formation.

Feel like this is going to be a real struggle tonight, but screw it we have a strong team and have played well, reckon we will do them on the break.

It was obvious to me that we'd go with 352 especially considering the injuries to Martial and Cavani and the suspension of Fred. No Pogba is a surprise but can you imagine the statement it would send to Paul and his fat feck of an agent if we win our biggest game of the season without him.

We might not be defensive as some expect. The key for us today is to get our final passes right on counters. Against PSG away, even though we won we were awful at capitalising on the space available.

Pretty well the lineup I expected. Never thought Pogba would start, regardless of the Raiola comments hitting the headlines. McTominay has been a regular starter in ECL.

RBL have been good at home and they will have learnt a lesson from the away match. Ole will be looking not to concede early and hence the defensive formation. A lot depending on Bruno, Marcus and Mason tonight, RBL look vulnerable defensively.

The change to 5 subs and big numbers on the bench gives Ole plenty of flexibility depending on how the first half hour or so goes.

Will Nagelsmann be wearing THAT jacket again?

The exact opposite of what we did against PSG - and maybe what we should've done against PSG in the first place. Only question is why no VdB given the RBL press.

This is going to be one hell of a test, up against a good motivated Leipzig team wanting to avenge the old trafford result.
They will start fast and be on front foot, we need to absorb the pressure and break on them.

I just hope our attitude is spot on from the first whistle, we cannot afford any passengers on the night...

I think pogba would have started had fatty kept his big mouth shut. Only 1 person pogba can blame for that

I think we will win this with pass on the counter.

Greenwood goal against west ham was so well taken. I think him and rashford will give them all sorts of problems.

    1-3 United

    Strange!

Maybe Ole hoping to have all three keepers in goal by the end of the game if it's tight.

I could totally understand leaving him at home if we had Fred and one of Tony/Eddy available but we don't so mistake in my eyes.

When was the last time playing 2 up top worked for us??? We're in for a long evening!!!

Since then, everytime I've backed us to win we have gone on to either lose or draw....I think we'll lose 5-0 and Bruno and rashford injured for the rest of the season.
Stay away tonight then!! Need a win to top the table.

There is a real wierd tone around that this an easy game, probably so they can bash ole after, but this is a tough game and we are way below strength. A result would be huge

Yeah, many have made the point in the build up that this should be standard given our team is superior, however, they have a very good manager who gets them to perform better than the sum of their parts, and they were in the semis a few months ago. They're a good side. And we never know what we get from our team.

I think this point is made to take a potential gloss of Ole getting a result here if he does. We of course fecked up drastically in Turkey, but a result tonight would be great, while a loss would be beyond underwhelming. So much at stake. Won't be easy. I thought they were very dominant against us until we got the breakthrough.

Grant on the bench with Henderson is hilarious. What a signing he has been.

    I'm calling it now.

She cannot take the strain captain!

We are gonna get walked on and end up in the Europa League.

The meltdown will be massive. The amount of new topics will be huge.
Ole's head will be on the menu tonight.

I'm calling that you will be wrong!

It's the CL status that only matters at 10pm tonight. Get through this game regardless of the performance and I'll be happy to move on. Interesting lineup but plenty of options off the bench.

So we have a back five plus two defensive midfielders. In other words, asking for pressure and trouble. I fear the worst.

I don't know. It looks like 3-5-2. But could Solskjaer surprise and still go with 4-2-3-1, with Telles tacking care of attacking left side position with Shaw shadowing him as fullback?

Exactly my sentiment going into this game. All we need to do is just qualify.

Who would you have started instead?
With Fred suspended. Cavani and Martial injured, and Pogba in his latest nonsense spell.

If we play for a draw we will lose. If we try to win we might draw. Five at the back and two defensive midfielders appears to send only one message to Leipzig... come and attack us.

I believe all three eligible keepers have been in the squad for all the ECL matches. With a large bench and 5 subs, I guess the idea is that you could give one or the other a run out if circumstances allow, although in practice I think you will rarely sub a keeper unless you have to.

Isn't Tuanzebe more worthy of a place in a back 3 rather than Shaw. He could at least then slot into midfield if the need arises.

Yes its defensive but we have tended to get results with the back 5 in bigger matches, has rarely let us down.

I think it’s an overly negative team which will bite us back. There’s no reason why VDB couldn’t play in that midfield two today considering there’s a back 5 behind him and he would have a holding player beside him. I can’t see us keeping the ball tonight and we have no one who can hold up the ball. We just have to hope Rashford can get in behind.
