I have no idea why can anyone defend Matic and McTominay, McT is absolutely nothing player and Matic? Who the hell decided to extend his contract should be fired. He's a fraud, who runs like he's 60.
On top of that we decide to play a negative football with 3 at the back with another grandpa Shaw and negative midfielders. No fecking gameplan. If there was any kind of system and consistent motivational job from the manager we would have seen by now.

Let's hope this time we will not wait till the end of the season so the next manager has plenty of time to asses players. Now let's hope I jynxed it:cool:

Why are two way RBs so hard to find in an era where technique is so highly valued? Makes no sense.

Need to take one of McT or Matic off for Donny to give us more options progessing the ball.

Harsh on Telles considering that Luke Shaw went walkabout into defensive midfield to press the ball. The player he had to tuck in and mark is a bigger immediate threat, so he was hung out to dry by Shaw there.
If Shaw doesn't press no one will. Matic and mct can't even lay a glove on their midfield.

Those too. AWB and Greenwood have been shambolic.
I don’t blame him for that as his hands were tied at RB and striker, but Matic and McTominay together is a horrendous selection. Despite having the second best squad in the group, we’ve finished 3rd. It’s down to Ole then. He must go.

Us going defensive has put the nerves in us, strangely. Set-up negatively, act negatively.

    I'm calling it now.

She cannot take the strain captain!

We are gonna get walked on and end up in the Europa League.

The meltdown will be massive. The amount of new topics will be huge.
Ole's head will be on the menu tonight.
Just quoting myself before we put out the second half miracle.

You've clearly not understood the concept. Playing narrow doesn't mean you constantly stand narrow and ignore everything that's going on around you. AWB, just like Shaw, is supposed to drift out wide. For their second goal, AWB is essentially standing on top of Lindelof when there's no need for it, Leipzig have 2 players in central and all of them are well covered while Angelino is as open as it gets out wide....And when they do pass the ball to Angelino, AWB barely bothers to get in close enough because he's expecting him to run with the ball so he's lining himself up for the tackle. You can't give away that much space and get away with it because "we're playing narrow"

The main issue, and it's been like that for quite some time now with AWB, is that he's completely unable to position himself even half-decent. He's constantly in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he doesn't have the football intelligence to understand it.

Just like that backheel attempt of his, he has plenty of time to pass the ball back to either defenders, even back to De Gea, and if that's no longer an option then boot the ball down the wing. What does he do? he tries to fecking backheel and it's nothing but pure luck that they don't instantly score.

I literally have no words for the massive shitfest of a job someone has done when it comes to scouting him and thinking we should spend such an obscene amount of money on him.
I really worry about his reading

If we come out with the same formation then I give up.
If we come out with the same PLAYERS, then I give up. But then I kind of gave up at the start. I am not disappointed at all. Surprising. Normally I would be desperately unhappy and down. But I really am in shrug shoulders mode, because this is what an Ole team does. From the sublime to the ridiculous to the ridiculous then a bit of sublime then more ridiculous. Inconsistent messaging. Inconsistent strategy, if you can call it that. There is a problem when you look at our defence and they just do not have a clue who they are meant to be picking up. It is like they are making it up as they go along. And that is why we are in the mess we are in.

VDB for Matic for me. Let McT do the grunt work, VDB box to box and connect midfield to Bruno & Co.

I don’t know any top teams that change their formation every single game. It’s no wonder AWB looks out of place. Or Shaw wasn’t marking at the back post for their second goal. I’m not trying to make excuses for them but LB, RB and LWB and RWB are very different positions and roles in a formation.

Ole needs a formation and stick with it if he’s going to succeed at United.
I have to agree with this, pick your best formation and stick with it, when a team is as badly organised as ours it would help if the players just trained in one position.

We won 2-1. They won 3-1. If it was a knockout tie, they’d go through. That’s how I understand it to work
Yes it's head to head in CL not goal difference unlike PL.

That 3rd goal from PSG fecked us unfortunately.

An utterly depressing half of football. Sadly I don't see the mircacle comeback this time, which is very frustrating considering where we were in the group.

Shaw isn’t the wing back, Telles is. It doesn’t matter what I’ve understood or not understood, when we play this narrow five back system, we’re exploited in the same way every. Single. Time. It’s like when we played against Brighton, the same thing happened. Now it’s all well and good blaming Wan Bissaka, though I’m not sure who we’re deciding to blame for the second goal since it came from the other side.
You telling me I’ve not understood the concept, when we’re conceding the same type of goals we have in previous matches is hilarious. At some point Ole and his staff need to either look at the system or the players they’re using and do something different. Do you think if we get you in to explain the system to Wan Bissaka we might see better results? Evidently Oles explanations aren’t helping.

Defenders need to step up big time because every away game they're a disaster. We need to play to our strength and hope it goes for us in Paris. Don't really like the ref. Seems bit fussy.

Still think we will scrape a draw out of this and go through, we just cant put 90 minutes together though, its all bits and parts of a game every match.
We have not been able to finish. We have had good chances, Greenwood, Rashford both made bad decisions.

If we lose this, will there still be support for Ole on the caf? 'Cos clearly this one's on him. In the press conference both him and slab head were like, we are going for a win and then they put out this sh*tty defensive lineup as if we are playing Bayern!
