Not annoying, just everyone using that to say we are in a bad shape in the league but it’s better to be behind and track then the other way around.I was hoping this was our game in hand but there’s a full midweek schedule. Annoying being 1 game behind teams.
Villa at home on the 2nd.I was hoping this was our game in hand but there’s a full midweek schedule. Annoying being 1 game behind teams.
Not really. In long term, it only puts pressure playing catch up when direct rivals doing well. You have lot of time to let their result to get into your head. Then it be ones must win games. Not annoying, just everyone using that to say we are in a bad shape in the league but it’s better to be behind and track then the other way around.
Hm. If I’m looking at this from a betting perspective, I’d put more weight on The Blades games at home and Man United’s away. Given that Man Utd have played two tough games in a week, four in two, I’d probably put money on 0-1, 1-1 and 1-2.Henderson
Williams - Tuanzebe - Maguire - Telles
Matic - McTominay
Mata - VdB - James
Martial
Subs: Bruno - Rashford - Greenwood - all at 60 minutes, goalfest to ensue
Sheffield United 0 - 4 MUFC
Honestly, though, Sheffield United can neither score goals nor stop them. I do expect a 0-4 scoreline.
Not annoying at all, seems like the the general consensus here is that the extra game is an extra 3 points for us. So having the game in hand might be more favourable than the actual outcome. Apologies for being a negative nancy, just managing my expectations.I was hoping this was our game in hand but there’s a full midweek schedule. Annoying being 1 game behind teams.
It's always been the case in the league to have some teams with a game in hand unfortunately. I don't think it should affect us. The cool part is that it's only 5 pts, and they play each others next week. We can close the gap to 3 pts with a big of luck, i.e. they draw as Jose doesn't want to lose and doesn't need to win.Not really. It happens, but not a situation where you want to be in yourself. It's always been the case in the league to have some teams with a game in hand unfortunately. I don't think it should affect us. Agreed, I had the feeling the game in hand was usually played rather "quickly" but this year, the schedule is going to be problematic. It happens, but not a situation where you want to be in yourself.
Playing in same match day, you may block yourself out of your rival positive result for the time being and focus in the game. Playing catching up however there is no avoiding hearing the news. Just a bit of extra pressure/distraction can be fatal.
Saying all that. As long as our game in hand can be used to overtake the league leader rather than catching up to them, it's golden, putting pressure instead on them. Hopefully we can achieve that with them dropping points.
There's literally no room in the calendar at all - I guess we need to wait and see if we make it through the next round of Europe before they can do anything. The game in hand is against Burnley away. Date for that match is still not scheduled but some journalists reckon March before its played?
Or to say we're in a good shape in the EPL. Can we change the rules and be january to january EPL champions? More and more like Liverpool years ago.Not annoying, just everyone using that to say we are in a bad shape in the league but it’s better to be behind and track then the other way around.
19-20 January is the available slot they'll most likely use. If we lose to Everton next week then 5-6 Jan is also open. There's literally no room in the calendar at all - I guess we need to wait and see if we make it through the next round of Europe before they can do anything.
If we end up getting to the final of the Europa league we might have to play 2 games in 3 days or something daft.
Since when having played a game in hand is changing the rule? It has always been the case that all games have to be played, so if you have played one game less, you have a chance to win 3 pts. What does that have anything to do with Liverpool? And why should that consider your league position as "bad" when you can basically earn 3 pts more?Or to say we're in a good shape in the EPL. Can we change the rules and be january to january EPL champions? More and more like Liverpool years ago.
My theory is we can use this to our advantage. Pretend all games are equal and have that as a bonus. It's always been the case in the league to have some teams with a game in hand unfortunately. We are most likely going to play it between GW17 and GW19 I think. There's literally no room in the calendar at all - I guess we need to wait and see if we make it through the next round of Europe before they can do anything.

That would be in Jan, but would be have time? I am sceptical. We are most likely going to play it between GW17 and GW19 I think.
If we exit the Carabao cup against Everton, then Jan 5 is the obvious one. But if we advance, then it will most likely be Jan 12 with our Fulham fixture moved to Jan 19.That would be in Jan, but would be have time? I am sceptical.
Listen, pal. Having 27k posts on an internet forum doesn't make you better than anyone else. People have different opinions to yours. Deal with it you internet gangster. There are several long established members who have said similar.
The fact that some long term members of this forum generally think they're elite is quite sad. In the big bad world away from your keyboard or smart phone, your'e just another peasant like the rest of us.
So keep your 27k posts, I probably have a bigger c*ck than you anyway.
Hopefully they warn you for being smug feck.
Or give Rashford a rest and field DVB. Push Bruno further forwardI don´t think this is the match to rotate much. It will be 5 days since last match, so use this match to build momentum. The loss to Leipzig is still fresh in mind. McTominay has been playing a lot though, and can sit this one out.

Walk in the laneNot nice thing to say in sports (and should be avoided) but this will be walk in the park
I often find anyone bragging about the size of their member probably has a micro penis...Listen, pals. I may not have 27k posts or a very big cock, but I reckon we are going to win this game! By my calculations we have 19 more points than them and have played a game less. Therefore, we are significantly better than them and will win.
I'd happily take whatever win moves us on.Sheff Utd are still obdurate and have only lost by more than one goal once at home. This isn’t a match we should take lightly and I’d be very happy with a 0-2 win. 4-0 feels heavily optimistic and probably a stick to beat Ole with if we scrape a narrow win.
Team wise I would go for:
Henderson
AWB
Lindelof
Maguire
Shaw
Fred
DVB
Rashford
Bruno
Pogba
Martial
Michael Oliver
