Nope. Allison, Neuer, Stegen, KDB, Mane, Salah, Sterling, Ronaldo, Messi, Ramos, VVD, Lewandowski, Kimmich, Muller, Mbappe, Neymar.

That's more than 11 players. What are you gonna say? You are not going to tell me that your players are comparable to those.
All the rest of those players aren't comparable to Messi and Ronaldo, so by your very metric there's only two world players.

They have been extremely fortunate with the CL group stage draw. Lampard suffered a similar slump last season but had transfer as an excuse but this season he will have none.

All the matches this week are on there I believe.

There’s matches kicking off at 5pm tomorrow.
"Alexa, remind me of the fecking match"

Cheers bud watching the City game now, although do I hear Andy Townsend?

EDIT I'm watching this on my PS4 in the den, quality seems much better than the Sky app.

Who said they are comparable to Messi & Ronaldo? Come on, let's not playing dumb here.

Exclude Ronaldo & Messi, the minimum to be world class are one of those in the list. And your players are not comparable to those.

Head over to the Shed End and see how their fans treat Frank and compare that to some of the abuse Ole gets on here.

Frank is effectively a “failed Derby manager”. He had a large budget and loads of connections that enable him to loan PL quality youngsters like Mount, Wilson and Timori. His goal was promotion, he failed to achieve it and was awarded one of the biggest jobs in English football.

He then proceeded to guide probably the 3rd best XI and 2nd best squad overall to 4th place. Scraping home on the final day of the season. Paul Merson, amongst others, called for him to win LMA Manager of the Year, despite actually finishing a place lower than the previous season.

This season, they have spent £200m+ and are 2pts ahead of Utd having played a game more. More shockingly, they have yet to beat a team in the top half of the table.

However...head over to the Shed End. Where are the 45 threads slating Frank Lampard? Where are the “failed Derby manager” brigade? Where are the “D-Day for Frank” threads? Where are the “If you’re Frank in, how long do you give him threads”? Where are all the weirdos who have never been to a game in their lives calling lifelong fans who refuse to abuse Frank “cultists”?

Ole has done a ten times better job with the mess he inherited than the genuinely good squad Frank took on. Yet Ole gets dogs abuse whilst Frank is largely treated with respect. Credit to their fans really because its shows half this forum up as petulant and spoiled in my opinion.

Ha, yes it’s Townsend and Drury. Throwback from ITV. The quality is very good, but there’s a latency issue. For the Chelsea game, my stream was about 30 seconds behind, so the scores were coming through on my phone before on the screen.

I think you have to place all that against the backdrop of United’s complete failure in the time since Fergie retired. Chelsea have won a couple of titles in the same timeframe.

Aye there is a bit of "judder" for me when the camera pans, but the Clarity is brilliant, I have a 1440p monitor and sometimes the PS4 scaling can make it a little blurry but no this looks very good.

Spot on (apart from the fact they've played 2 more games than us not 1)

Yeah, but he shouts from the touchline and sounds intelligent in the interviews kinda like Arteta.

Went to Chelsea far to early in his managerial career before he'd had a real test. Didn't exactly have a great win rate at Derby.

Poor game. Outplayed in the second half and the frustrating thing is people called it in advance that Wolves would sit back and take it easy before going for it midway through the second half and we did nothing to adjust.

All this money spent for another top 4 battle. What a waste.
I mean we all predicted it take a while for the team to gel. The wins and unbeaten run since October seems to have raised expectations. If Spurs and Liverpool.draw we're 4 points off the top despite losing back to back games. Not terrible in the grand scheme of things.

They have a good squad. A better manager than Lampard could work wonders with that team. Lets hope he stays for a long time yet.

Well, the CL draw won’t do them any favour. Worst possible draw tbf. Their awful record against any decent team makes this run of games even more interesting. Will Lamps make it through this?

20/2 Southampton - Chelsea
23/2 Atletico Madrid - Chelsea
27/2 Chelsea - Man United
6/3 Chelsea - Everton
13/3 Leeds - Chelsea
17/3 Chelsea - Atletico Madrid
21/3 Liverpool - Chelsea

The expectations were always high thanks to the summer you had mate. It's your manager who has been trying to lower them in the press.

January transfer window before that run of games. We'll just buy Neymar, chuck Werner and Havertz and another £200m at PSG for Neymar and Marquinhos. Title is already in the bag.

I’m not impressed with them.

Lampard is their Ole. Shit manager who will linger around for ages because the fans won’t rally against their manager.

And don’t forget the Christmas break, oh wait...
Just kidding, I hope Lamps does well. It’s a special season and I think most teams will have a rough period during the season.

For me they weren't. For a lot of Chelsea fans they weren't. I expected an improvement in performance over the course of the season reflected in the points column, but I didnt expect a title challenge - that narrative belongs to rival fans and pockets of the media.

But it's a mental season, so we'll see how the rest of it goes. Nobody is consistent, hence Chelsea potentially only being 4 points off the top if the big game tomorrow ends in a draw even after losing two consecutive games.

We'll take our licks tonight and this week though. We deserve it but I'm confident we'll be there or thereabouts in May.

For your fans maybe, but I guess most neutrals expected more than a top 4 struggle like what you sre heading towards. Most predictions were for you to be around 3rd of so.

They’re a decent side and I’m sure they will have a decent run at some point. Not going to write them off and not going to laugh at them as we have a tendency to mess things up also! Let’s not get cocky

It's a bit of a stretch to call it a top 4 struggle at this stage, just like I was arguing against people labeling us one of the favourites for the title 3 weeks ago. I'd rather let the dust settle and see how teams around us perform relative to Chelsea in the coming weeks before drawing the curtains on this team.

As I said it's a mental season and we're without Ziyech who is a pivotal playmaker for us and for that reason, I haven't lost confidence in any of the things I hope this team can achieve this season.

Laugh away mate . It's what this game is all about

Trust me, rival fans won't allow you this consideration if/when you lose a couple of games. My WhatsApp group chats were lit with Ole and United memes after the Leipzig game.

As expected they're starting to fall away. Despite the early hype I simply couldn't see them winning the league or being true contenders. They're not good enough.

I said somewhere, I think it was in the elite manager thread, that I don't see Lampard as being any better than Ole as a manager really (both not very good), and nothing I've seen since I said that has made me change my mind.

Literally the first thread there is about Lampard and plenty of criticism for him there. And also plenty of complains about the Lampard-outers. Same goes for Reddit.

Also let's realise that Ole is further along than Lampard. We already realised that Ole is tactically inept and can't do much better than now, so there is less patience left. Lampard is still a few months behind on that, and there are still fans who are "giving him a chance" and see if he is capable of making a change to turn things around. If nothing changes at the end of the season you can expect the Lampard-outers to go all out at full force.

No matter what fans on forums think, their owner isn't putting up with sentimental crap. If Lampard delivers just a top 4 finish (no title challenge or any other trophy) this year as well, he'll be out. That ruthlessness is exactly why they have been a more successful club than us over the past decade. Our owners have a history on dawdling over failing managers and if some fans think that we could be better off with another manager, it's not the wildest opinion out there.

Anyways, let's see where those Chelsea fans are at in a year's time if Lampard would still be there.

Might as well clear his desk now then because they’re nowhere near a title challenge for me.

Oh you're one of them "they can only be world class if they make a world Xl".

Never mind.
Wait do you genuinely believe that Ziyech, Pulisic and Reece James are genuinely world class?

That's what everyone says, and why Chelsea is a title contender for many. And why we are not as well, because our squad doesn't have that quality.
Which may or may not be true, I don't think it matters as long as we win it.
