They really are having a shit week. And it’s not gamers who wanted that game pulled, it was the CCP because there’s a meme that mocks XI Jinping.

I've been digital since PS4 launch and never really had a problem with anything I've bought, but I'd be super pissed off if I had bought this for that and gotten that response, automated or no.
Super annoyed tbh and only just about getting by thanks to watching Arsenal :D

Thanks for that I'm gonna send an email to CDPR linking Sony's response to me.

I decided to get it on PC anyway. Runs smooth so far. Only about an hour in though. It's brilliant so far.

It's pathetic how terrified the entertainment industry is of upsetting China.

As for CDPR, their reputation has taken walloping in the last 6 days.

China is a huge market for them unfortunately, Blizzard for one has full on simped for them to avoid offending their leaders, going as far as banning and rescinding prizes for players of their games for displaying solidarity with the HK protests.

Does anyone know how to re-do the tutorial bit. I've totally forgotten how to fight with fists to best the twins

I think that fight is just really hard.
Fists work the same as any melee weapon. L2 is block, R2 is attack. Holding R2 is heavy attack and you can time your block to get a counterattack.
I was kind of low level when i tried but i had some small health regen and so just spammed dodge when i got too low health. He's very, very easy when theres only one of him, i guess thats obvious but focusing on one helps. Dodge everything and punch him in the back when you get a good opportunity. Took a while and the later steps are higher level again so i've been ignoring that quest chain.

Longer I play, the more I like the game, PS4/Xbox One fiasco aside, this is a really great game, I don't understand people saying next two things:

1: "City feels dead" - I disagree, City feels very much alive and is best looking video game City I played in probably, insane attention to detail! Also big vehicle variety.
2: "There is nothing to do outside Map markers, no incentive to explore" - This one I don't get, I found tons of stuff outside marks, found some texts that opened side quests, easter eggs, rich item caches, unique Bikes/rides etc.

I know people are angry and disappointed, but let's not go overboard criticizing things that are not there just because of that.

And people should stop comparing RDR2, which is basically a flat wasteland, with this game, which has insane verticality compared, this game is much more demanding because of that.

The RDR comparison is weird anyway, this is an RPG not a rockstar sandbox. Both are great in their own way. Though I personally dont enjoy Rockstar's games. I've tried getting through Rdr2 (and GTA 5) 3 times, bit it's just so, I dunno, boring.

I'm finding that there's a decent variety of ways to approach missions with all the hacking options and often surprising stealth routes the player can take. Sometimes you can just go in all guns blazing which feels good too.

Tbf the RDR2 comparison is fair in the sense that CDPR (well, Kicinski, who seems unable to keep his mouth shut) made those comparisons first.

Not sure why he did though, since he was setting his company up for a fall. He didn't have to come and make comparisons to a game that Rockstar San Diego made, handed it over to North to get their approval, didn't get it and then had the entirety of Take Two's studios all chipping in to make it what it became. So you're now comparing your game to a team of over a thousand people, who are using an engine they've been building on for a decade, making a game in the same style of the ones they've been making for almost thirty years, led by the studio that have been releasing nothing but highly reviewed games since before some of us were born.

It would be like me coming out and saying that I'm going to make lobster thermidor for the first time, but it's going to be better than Gordon Ramsay's signature Beef Wellington. Yes, nobody should really believe me but nevertheless I shouldn't be coming out every week hyping it up, before turning up with a bacon roll.

Ah didn't know he started that, fair enough then.

I’m enjoying it but not to its fullest I’d say. I don’t feel the urge to constantly play it which is unusual for me with a brand new game. It crashed on me earlier and I took that as a time to just stop playing it for the day. Maybe it’ll get more into it as it goes on.

Look at this whole mission. The absolute state of it.

This whole mission is just a pile of shit. When I first tried this he got in the car with his head poking through the roof. Then the whole ‘chase part’ has cars that literally just spawn to get in your way. They aren’t organic and serve no other purpose. After I crash at 37 seconds you can see a car up ahead mount the curb because it was clearly only programmed to block my way and because I didn’t reach it in time it doesn’t know what to do. Then as I struggle with the awful driving mechanics at 1:03 the ENTIRE TIME OF DAY changes! Then we get to the guy at the end, I shoot whoever that is and police just fecking spawn behind me. I literally looked behind to make sure nobody was around. Then after shooting those, some more have spawned behind me. Suddenly there’s like 8 cops there for fecks sake. Absolutely atrocious.

I don't have the game but the driving looks terrible, that would seriously piss me off. Reminds me of playing Watchdogs.

This is very different to how their statement sounded, they’re doing themselves no favours at all

https://www.ign.com/articles/cyberpunk-2077-refunds-ps4-cd-projekt-red

During an emergency board meeting, CD Projekt Red SVP of business development Michal Nowakowski clarified that refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 are dependent on the existing refund policies in place for PSN and Xbox customers.

“One has to understand: Microsoft and Sony have refund policies for every product that is released digitally on their storefronts,” Nowakowski said. “Despite several articles I’ve seen that things are being set up just for us, it’s actually not true — these policies are in place and have always been in place; they’re not offered specifically for us.”

I just finished that mission and my god was it different to what you did and it ended up being one of the weirdest side missions I've ever played (in a good way). I don't blame you for doing what you did as it was confusing and the police spawn is ridiculous but you shouldn't have opened fire. Again, not a criticism as the game literally tells you to do so but I think players were meant to see what happened next...and boy was it strange.

If anyone played that mission and the ones after it did you

help to crucify the guy? i was not expecting the option to do that. There must be dialogue options where you can get him to abandon his choice. I feel bad for letting him do it but i was kinda curious :(

Was a really fun ride through the story and side-quests. Could easily do another run with a different skill focus, but will probably wait for a new GPU + patches to enjoy the world to the fullest.

I would still recommend this game if you are on pc, and love a good story driven game. If bugs ruins your immersion, i wouldn't recommend obviously

I failed that mission because the game becomes fecking Burnout the minute you have to start following the van.

Understandable that he doesn't agree then as he owns an Xbox so doesn't know what a good exclusive is.
We have so many exclusives. So many. We have so many exclusives people have never seen before. People stop time, they tell me all the time. They say thank you. Thank you for getting so many exclusives. Our exclusives are the best. The best exclusives. Incredible. They said it couldn't be done. But we did it.

So I was holding back on buying this (for PC) because of the delays, but having watched a lot of reviews, i'm not sure if i'll buy it at all (at least at full price, maybe in a year or 2 when its patched and discounted).

Do people really not care that the cars look like 1980s comics of the future? Are most of them ICE? All have 4 or 6 wheels? Is there any public transport at all? Planes/Helicopters/Jetpacks/other propulsion that non-storyline NPC's use? RPG usually aren't my cup of tea but open world cities are, is it a lot more of the former and not much of the later?

Upgrading to Windows 10 basically doubled my performance for some reason. I was running at 1080p on high settings at about 30fps, after upgrading this shot up to 60fps. I’m now playing on high at 2k and getting a solid 40fps.

It's supposed to be a brilliant open world but not in the GTA way - planes/metro/helocopters. It's more like a Deus Ex open world that's stunning in its detail from what I've read. So if you're looking to have fun and cause mayhem in the open world, it probably isnt your cup of tea.
