Would take us top of the league for sure.
Err he's been great for about 6 years mate. A goal every 1.7 games for club and country not to mention about 50 assists over that period as well. How much longer does he need to carry that on for before you consider him proven?Behind Lewa, Benzema, Ronaldo and Messi in the conversation for the best striker right now. He is in an amazing purple patch of form but he needs to show this for a season before being better than the others, who have been great for this past season.
Haaland is up there and extremely promising but still has a way to go IMO. Great record but don't forget that Paco Alcacer was banging them in at a ridiculous rate whenever he played for Dortmund too. His all-round game isn't close to Kane's at the moment. In my opinion he's the third best striker in the world atm.
Pretty clearly below Lewandowski and imho Haaland is also ahead of him. Other than that, I don't see a striker, that's better than him. He's in the #3 - #5 bracket alongside Benzema and Lukaku.
(Yes, Lukaku has been really good for Inter. Before people try to downplay him by calling him "bottler" again, they might think about the fact, that Kane himself has bottled many big game situations.)
Why is Lukaku in top 5? Immobile scored more goals and had more assists than Lukaku in Serie A. Immobile contributed to 45 league goals last season, Lukaku 25.In my opinion he's the third best striker in the world atm.

Wow. Did not realise that. He is a very special player with many attributes, although pace is not one of them. But he more than makes up for that with a very strong physical presence.Harry Kane has already hit 250 career goals (now 251). He did so in fewer matches than Shearer, Aguero, Ronaldo and Rooney. Only Messi did it faster.
I think thery're just comparing him to a list of top players. I don't think he's the second fastest player to hit 250 goals for club and country in history. Still impressive mind.Harry Kane has already hit 250 career goals (now 251). He did so in fewer matches than Shearer, Aguero, Ronaldo and Rooney. Only Messi did it faster.

It hasn't, it's his usage that hasBest striker in the world not named Lewa. His all round game has gone up a notch of late, has added brilliant playmaking to his repertoire.
Please read my posts afterwards, I should've been clearer in stating that is purple patch is regarding his assist numbers, which have never been this high. His high assists is really what's driving the new conversation of how good he is, and hence my comment if the purple patch.Err he's been great for about 6 years mate. Aye. For instance, Jimmy Greaves reached 250 goals after 305 games, Eusebio did it in 194 games, and even despite playing in the stingiest era of all, Van Basten made it in 391 games.I think thery're just comparing him to a list of top players. I don't think he's the second fastest player to hit 250 goals for club and country in history. Still impressive mind.

As much as you are entitled to your opinion I just have to ask how you can have Haaland ahead of him?In my opinion he's the third best striker in the world atm.

Haaland is just the most natural number 9 I've seen since Lewandowski came around in 2012. He's ice-cold in front of the goal, has great pace and physique, good technique for his size and is also good in the air.As much as you are entitled to your opinion I just have to ask how you can have Haaland ahead of him?
We won’t sustain a league challenge with martial as our number 9He's an outstanding footballer not just a striker. Based on watching him I would say he's the best number 10 in the league, he's been an insane passer for a long time now.
He's just class, If we had brought him for the number 9 position he'd be a starter there and add unbelievable backup to Bruno as a number 10 with his creativity.
We have not had a proper centre forward playing in his prime for the last 8 years, we need Martial to regain form ASAP, if he does, we will challenge for the league, barring any injury to Bruno.
Then those some!! Need to take their rose tinted glasses off. Would love him at OT as he's the best striker in the league, hes so consistent and has been for few years now.According to some in here he wasn’t as good as Lukaku, isn’t as good as Martial (who is also a better passer) and is one of the most disgustingly violent players ever to play the game.
I'll take that if it's just against Liverpool. He always flops against Liverpool. I wouldn't want a United player to be like that.
I hope you mean the near 40 Zlatan. He ain't on par with no prime Zlatan. He is behind Lewandowski, Halaand, Benzema, Arguero, Suarez, etc. More on par with Zlatan.
he’s not going anywhere. He’s tied himself up with that contract, and he’s far too expensive.Needs to go. He's 28 in the summer. What a waste he is at Spurs.
I think he suits city's team to the ground right now with how good his link up play has become. They would fare better with him than an out and out 9he’s not going anywhere. He’s tied himself up with that contract, and he’s far too expensive.
this summer he’s Only a year younger than RVP when he went to United.
Spurs would want £100M+ for him, no one is paying anywhere near that, despite him being one of the best strikers in Europe.
he would need to demand a move, and I don’t see that happening.
What about Batistuta at Fiorentina in the 80s?Needs to go. He's 28 in the summer. What a waste he is at Spurs.
I think you mean the 90s... and he ultimately had to leave to Roma to win the league. What about Batistuta at Fiorentina in the 80s?
That makes no sense. If you were going to discount anyone’s goals on that basis then it would have to be Bobby’s (not that I’m suggesting that I would). He got 13 of his goals in 5 matches that ended 10-0, 9-0, 8-0, 8-1 and 8-1.The gap between the best teams and the minnows was at least as wide, if not more so, in the 50s/60s. I also doubt Rooney’s goals were against any stronger opposition than Kane.I actually discount his England goals due to the weak opposition England play. If Rooney or Charlton played against the same quality of International opposition they would have doubled their totals.
