So think I'm gonna take a hit and go Sterling Mahrez out, Son and Rashford in.

What you guys think?

Bit worried about Che Adams up top though, he looked bad against Fulham.
Anyone? Only because deadline is tomorrow.

I've avoided Son for most of the season but it looks like Son & Kane have run out of steam. Is it worth it for their good games?

I would keep one of them, not sure about both though, their fixtures look really nice if they are going to score its going to be now.

This gw shows that Bruno is the best fpl player atm.

Wasn't looking forward to today - with Robertson, Son, Kane and Neto being threats.

For that lot to only get 12 between them and the three biggest threats of them all being 2 pointers is brilliant stuff.

Huge call now on De Bruyne and DCL to Son & Kane.

What do we reckon?
Got to be a risk DCL at least is rested playing 48hours on. And a hard game v City anyway.
Would lose 0.4m on him too!

But despite Tottenham's recent dire attack we have to have them for Fulham and Leeds at home right?

DB goes down tonight so it's gotta be done today.

Son & Kane in for DB and DCL.
What do we think?

Would lose about 0.3m-0.4m bank but the two play each other as soon as 2 days time so rotation/reduced mins wheres Kane & Son always play.
Plus Tottenham have Fulham and then Leeds at home.

Will get through tomorrow's game and see them unscathed first.
Have checked none of the 4 are changing in value as i have the exact change
What's the thoughts now? I'm similar to you but I can't be bringing both of them in for a hit I don't think

Edit: just seen your post above

Depends on what you’re doing about the double gameweek. I’m tempted to get rid of Adams for Bamford now that I have enough funds, but it would mean having to take hits, or not using bench boost for the double.

I’m keeping Kane and Son for now, but if they don’t play well against Fulham, I’ll definitely be look to move out one of them.

Anyone tempted to get rid of DCL?

Charlie Taylor to replace Lamptey? Not a sexy pick, but Burnley got some decent games and they can keep clean sheet in them.

What we know with Jose at least is that he likes to pretty much play the same team irrespective of fatigue.
So with Tottenham not playing until a generous 6pm on Wed he'll definitely field his top boys.

De Bruyne looked tired and plays tomorrow and I'm sure Ancelotti said something about the need to rotate in the second game.

For a -4 I'd be nervous for you. Depending on who would come out - but I think I've got to do it.
Just to cover the risk isn't it. If Son and Kane smash Fulham and Leeds we'd regret it.

Good way into an improved Burnley.
Lamptey at least has a game in week 18. But away to City! So no doubt a 1-2 pointer presuming he's back by then!

Going to free hit then anyway.

I am actually not sure what I want to buy right now.

Probably Rashford to double up with Bruno.
Vardy as well for the future.

Not sold on Chelsea right now.

63 for me for another rise. Disappointing end of the week with Salah, Trent and Robbo blanking. If there was ever a time you could afford a captain flop though, it was Salah this week. Congratulations to those who foresaw Bruno being the preferred choice.

Now I just need to decide what to do about Spurs with two choice fixtures to come. KDB to Son seems like the first move. Not sure DCL and Grealish to Kane/Vardy and Raphina is worth a -8 on top of that though.

I'm weighing moves up but would be able to field this for week 18 so far

Dier Dias Lamptey
Grealish Son Bissouma
Kane Watkins

With 2 free transfers to get another couple in.

I may even FH in week 19 or try and skimp through that off a few big hitters with doubles like Salah and Bruno and good pick singlers.

Good call with the single move for now pal.
I think I'll do De Bruyne to Son now because DB is going down overnight. And then weigh up a second (free) one tomorrow.

61 points. Can't complain, as I keep climbing, but it was proper anticlimatic with Kane, Reguilon and Salah all contributing nothing.

Question, my team is worth 103.6 at this current time, if I use Wildcard before its deadline, do I still retain my players values or does it reset to 100mill budget?

Retain. Just don't transfer someone out that you have value in and bring them back in by mistake.

I will sell DCL tomorrow for Adams in preparation for the double.
I was set on Grealish to Son tomorrow, but having watched them against Wolves, I'm suddenly considering Rashford instead.

Fulham haven't been quite the whipping boys we all thought they'd be, and we are so much better than Spurs. Rashford has a double GW19 as well, so it's only really that Spurs-Leeds game. Not sure if having Kane alone would cover that game.

Rashford is currently flagged, and looking at our fixtures, our next game looks like the only one there would be any excuse to rest him in the Premier League. Might have to stick with Grealish for now and see how Spurs and Man Utd look this week.

Grealish have looked very good and Villa too. If not for potential rest, tricky fixtures and no double I would rush to get Grealish plus another one.
Certainly would not sell them with such good form.

Chelsea away for some reason feels like the sort of fixture that Grealish and Watkins might actually do well in. When by rights it should be a certain blank.

Anyway - DB to Son for tonight.
Will see what else tomorrow.

Have only just clocked that Lamptey is ruled out until week 18! Doh!

Its a real headmelter. I'm considering Vardy instead of Kane to not go too Spursy. He has the double in GW19 aswell that Kane hasn't and is 0.9m cheaper

Right, I’m doing DCL to Bamford to free up funds. Was originally going to do Grealish to Mount, but Chelsea obviously looked dreadful and Grealish has still been playing well, without getting any returns.

Feels weird to be selling DCL.

Do anyone think De Bruyne will be rested?

I do ideally wait one week before I sell him, but maybe it is better to sell him straight away?

So, allow me to be pedantic, seeing as Nyland is no longer an Aston Villa player should he really be counted towards my Aston Villa cap?

I suddenly want to get rid of half my team. Was perfectly content a week ago.
Lamptey Chilwell Salah Grealish DCL Vestegaard and Mcgoldrick need to go.
For next week:
Taylor and Bamford in
Chilwell and Mcgoldrick out

Why would Salah, Grealish and DCL need to go? Is this a reaction to one blank?

The argument for getting rid of Chilwell is to save money by moving to a cheaper alternative within the same team, eg James. That’s what I may do soon. Same with Cresswell and Coufal though Cresswell taking corners and free kicks makes him a tempting option.

Mine for now is:

Martinez McCarthy
Chilwell Cresswell Dier Taylor Bednarek
Salah Bruno Son Grealish Bowen
DCL Bamford Martial

Next to go Martinez, Dier and Son in preparation for DGW. Replaced by Dallas, Rashford and a goalkeeper I cannot figure out yet. Then immediately after 19 I am going to either downgrade Bowen to Soucek and use the money elsewhere, or upgrade him to Maddison or Zaha. I am leaning towards the latter.

With United next 10 games looking good on paper I am thinking of sticking with the core of Bruno, Rashford and Martial during that period. Around GW26-27 is when I am planning to use by second WC.

The gap to the lead of my league is down to 130 and I feel good about cutting it to under 100 within next 5 weeks

Using my wildcard and I still have Lamptey. I'm not sure who to take him out for. If I take him out I have £5m in the bank. Any suggestions?

My defence/keepers are: Martinez, Meslier, Dallas, KWP, Coufal and Taylor.

I'm not against keeping him but just leaving him on my bench in the hope he's back for GW19 at least.

I would keep Martinez, but like the other two transfers. Maddison and Zaha are both risky and will blow both hot and cold I think. I think you might get good return on our trio, but think Martial is the most risky one of them.

This is my squad right now, and I'm very open for tips going into the next couple of rounds (numbers in brackets are valueloss if sold):

Martinez(+0,1), Ryan (My weakest point in the squad right now, but I will not prioritize changing him just yet)

Alioski, Zouma (+0,4), Bednarek (+0,2), Justin (+0,3), Coufal (+0,1)

Grealish (+0,4), Salah (+0,3), KDB, Fernandes (+0,3), Rashford

Bamford (+0,2), Watkins (+0,1), Adams

Squadvalue 105,5M (total salesvalue 103,1M) + 0,2M in the bank

My plan was to go from Watkins to Valencia in round 16, but will he get fit soon enough for GW19?
I will use chips in GW 18 (FH) and GW 19 (BB)

Where to go next?
