Probably would have took 0-0 before the game but it feels like 2 points dropped. The front 4 let us down massively today.

Still a decent a result and we stay top so it could be worse!

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
I don't know why we kept Rashford up top and Martial on the left for the entire game (well, until we bought Cavani on). Literally the only thing Rashford can do in that position is try to run in behind the defenders, and if that's not working he provides absolutely nothing else. Martial may have given them more trouble with his hold-up play and dropping into deeper areas and linking with others.

Said before I would be happy with a point, and so I'm happy (ish), but wish we could have converted one of those chances.

Though considering two of our best players (Bruno and Rashford) were god awful, we did well as a team to be in it.

Before the game, I would have snapped your hands for a draw. But after the game, I feel it's 2 points dropped. Rashy is so fecking greedy.

We should have won that second half
Three great chances, which produced two really good saves

Rashford should have been subbed first

Ugly point but will take it. Donny would have been a better choice in midfield today I think, just hanging round Thiago and shut him down.

Shaw had an outstanding game, MoTM for Utd

MOTM Shaw, great performance
Bruno went missing along with Marcus
they were there for the taking in the 2nd half, we clung on a bit for periods in the 1st half
1 point, but if we want to be Champions it should have been all 3

We would have won this if Bruno and Rashford had brought their A game.

Anyone saying we played shit needs their head examined.

They haven't lost at home in about 4 years , created no real chances against us and really with the Bruno and Pogba chances at the end we should have won.

I'm pretty satisfied with that

Rashford decision making hasn't improved one bit. So many chances to isloate their fullback but he squadered the opportunity.

Ralf Rangnick.
Missed opportunity. Ole's tinkering killed us. Pogba and Bruno were way too far apart throughout, no wonder we couldn't create anything. I don't think they played more than 5 passes to each-other between them. Rashford's selfishness cost us at the end. I don't even think Liverpool played well. We were simply rubbish today.

Shaw MOTM. Pogba and Lindelof next closely followed by Maguire.
Rasford and Bruno were dire. Rashford really needs to learn to lift his head up and pick a pass.

I feel we should have won that... first half we were nervous for 35 minutes and kept giving the ball away.. Liverpool passed it well but created very little;
2nd half it was all united we looked the better team and were well on top. We had 2 very good chances and their keeper kept them in it...
Id have taken the draw at kickoff but in the end i feel we should have won. Liverpool dont look anywhere up to last years standards.
clean sheet though and still top so could have been worse.

Parked the bus which is not fun. We need to start believing that we can defeat teams like Liverpool. Nonetheless, I’ll take the draw. Not a bad result

Point, should have won it but we will take it, VDB will leave come the summer, can get on at all! Although I see why he went for Greenwood to run at them. Pogba should have score but great save, still top now go beat Fulham.

I thought that was small-club, cowardly management by Ole.

Yes, I’d take a draw every day of the week beforehand but seeing how the game was going you bring on Greenwood earlier for Fred or McT and press on them.

It still amazes me that the fan base consensus is to moan about the defence when the attack (Rashford and Martial) are nowhere near up to scratch.

Game after game you hear “Rashford not at his usual standard”, or something to that effect. The guy’s not a Man Utd starter. At least people have realised this about Martial. Cavani came on and demonstrated that his mind, movement and link up play is streets ahead.

Haaland is the dream signing for this team, but I doubt it’ll happen.

The defence and possibly pogba played well. Everyone else way below par. We'll look back at this as 2 points dropped

Deserved the point in a venue that few sides avoid defeats there nowadays. Defended superbly, Shaw the clear man of the match. Alisson the busier of the two keepers. First time since 7th of October 2018 against City that Liverpool didn't score in Anfield in the Premier league.

Predictably boring and disappointing. We had the better chances, and Liverpool were extremely poor as well. If our players wanted it more, and didn't play like crap (particularly Rashford and Bruno), we would have won.

I'll take it.

Defensively excellent. Shaw, Maguire and Lindelof were great, AWB solid too.

Should have kept Martial on.

Imagine where we can go with this team if Bruno and Rashford find their form again.

Positives:

Created bigger chances than Liverpool and had more shots on goal. Pogba and Bruno both missed sitters.
Lindelöf and Maguire EXCELLENT. I was upset about the choice, but I was provent 100% wrong. Perfect game by both.
Can walk away from the game feeling we should have won.
Still in the title race.

Negatives:

Rashford always in offside position. It got a bit comical there in the end. This needs to be adressed.
Giving up a bit too much possession, but Ill give consideration to who the opponent was
Liverpools unbeaten run at Anfield should have fallen today. Very luck they walk away with a draw.
Manchester City can overtake by 2p if they win both games in hand.

I thought we were giving them a bit too much leisure to do what they wanted in the first half, but the second half was much better for me. Overall I'm very happy with the point. Rashford and Martial need some form improvement. Bruno is in a bit of a valley atm, been a few games since he was at his best.

Onwards for the next one!

I know people will say it's Liverpool etc but personally think we've missed a real opportunity here. We were just far too manic and not willing to be patient and wait for the right moments. At end of the day I bet if we were playing Matic and McT as CB's they'd be disappointed not to win.

I thought the defence largely played pretty well and Fred/McT got better as game went on but the attack just wasn't on it today. You'd have to assume it was somewhat tactical e.g. trying to go for the killer pass early, and so I think Ole might think about how he could have tried to change the team approach earlier, although that said the attacking players were very sloppy at times which he can't control.

Top game. Their keeper is top notch. His best move wasn't even one of the two point blank saves. It was the one where he came out and intercepted a very sharp move during the second half.

Other than the first 30' or so, pretty good performance though, better than I had thought anyways.

Rashford is just infuriating as always. I don't think he's physically capable of looking at anything but his feet when he has the ball.

We should have won this but I’ll take the point. Not one of the hot blooded affairs of yore but it shows how good we’ve been lately that I regard the draw as a minor disappointment.

Shaw MOTM for me. Fred was garbage, would have brought Matic on for him same time Martial went off.
