5 points off top 4, in the FA cup and CL going into Feb, with a first 11 that has what, half the the first 11 in their first season in English football.

I’m not saying they’re doing particularly well, but it seems like they could have given him more time.
More time?! Don't talk like that, it's blasphemous on the CAF! Every manager should be sacked the second they lose just 1 game!

Wow

Wait for the tards to come out with a line like this is how big clubs act when pointing that we should have sacked Ole a year ago
They're too busy being upset about being top of the league, claiming a COVID hit season is the reason why we're top and nothing to do with Ole, the players or the coaches. Just pure luck!

Exactly. I get that Roman is a bit mental and has a itchy trigger finger, but its hardly a full blown crisis is it?

Never saw this one coming at the start of the season, but Lampard should know better than anyone what Abramovich is like.

It was obvious by their signings in the summer that Lampard had no clue what he was doing. I'm not sure how he thought he could fit Werner, Havertz and Mount all in the same team. Terrible squad building.

I think he may have lost the dressing room which tbf we learned is quite easy at Chelsea.

He has lost the players apart from a few like Mason Mount.

Wow, I am shocked and surprised - but at the same time i'm not shocked and surprised either.

I just didn't think Chelsea would be as cut throat as usual with a Chelsea legend like that. We could have pulled the trigger on Ole too when he was struggling last christmas... it's not always the right decision.

Although it's the right thing to do feels a bit sad now it's actually happening.

He deserves immense credit for his squad building, unfortunately he simply didn't have the tactical nous to make full use of it himself but the squad we've got now is levels above what he inherited.

Chelsea fans were so adamant that Lampard will get time isn't it?

I'd have said it seems too early but if you ask for and get backing like he did in the summer you have to do better than he's done.

It’s going to be the Fat Spanish Waiter isn’t it. Presumably they think they can get away with it without fans in the ground to boo him off the park every week this time.

:(

Too soon in my opinion but obviously not a shock.

There must be someone lined up. I know nothing about Tuchel but he seems the chosen one.
Got sacked when he had Mbappe and Neymar to play with so we'll see!

On the plus side, that’s another manager Lampard can have a falling out with.

I'm also surprised by the timing but I don't think this is the same as Ole, its been clear for awhile now that Lampart isn't a top level manager.

Where the grass is greener.
I think Lampard deserved more time after the mad amount of transfers that were brought in, getting a tune out of so many new to the league wasn't guaranteed to be a smooth process.

Ruthless as always by Roman though, can't be too surprised.

We must've come to some sort of agreement with his replacement. Next couple of games are very winnable so they may want whoever it is (it's Tuchel, isn't it?) to come in now.

Tuchel could at least make their CL games against Atleti interesting. Lampard... I hope he challenges himself and goes to Spain / Italy to learn and improve as a manager.

Oh feck sake! Frank was doing good work at Chelsea, could have least gave him until the end of the season. Hopefully Tuchel does his usual and manages to turn the dressing room and board against him.

That's highly likely, I guess Chelsea would expect a bounce with whoever they appoint. I did think (possibly naively) that Chelsea had changed. How are you feeling about it Duffer?

This has been coming, shame they moved so quickly. You'd imagine a new manager bounce and a reaction from the squad.

Bad news for Liverpool & Spurs who will be competing for 3rd & 4th with Chelsea now.
