Is he supposed to play for them? They have been dog shit.....or he failed those Germans

If anything I’d have thought our recent form would have made Chelsea more likely to give Lampard time, same with Arteta. I was hopeful anyway.Wow
Wait for the tards to come out with a line like this is how big clubs act when pointing that we should have sacked Ole a year ago
I was responding to someone else’s claim that he was sacked despite having Neymar and Mbappe.Hard to judge him on that when PSG have walked the league almost every year since 2013.
I think Eddie Howe will get that job. Been rumours up here around Glasgow for a few weeks now.Celtic
Agree. They've been feckin woeful. Those Germans have got Lampard the sack, pile of shit the pair of them.
They're not a threat to us this season. 11 points is a monstrous gap. If they get a bounce it's the likes of Liverpool/Spurs that need to be worried. As a United fan this is a bit annoying. This Chelsea squad on paper has a lot of potential. If Tuchel gets a tune out of them they could make a charge from this point on.
Yeah even I thought Lampard will get plenty of time.Really thought he would.
14:01.When does the Tuchel sack watch thread come up?
Do you think? I'd say if it reached this point Ole would already be gone ! There was serious pressure mounting before Christmas. The Ole sack thread would still be in full flow if we were where Chelsea are right now. It’s only a surprise it took Abramovich this long, and it wouldn’t have without Lampard’s ties to the club. He’s one of his least hard done by Chelsea managers. Tuchel will do well to last as long.
They? Care to bring some examples/quotes?They're too busy being upset about being top of the league, claiming a COVID hit season is the reason why we're top and nothing to do with Ole, the players or the coaches. Just pure luck!
They blew it two seasons before his appointment and even Ancelotti (who is universally raved over) lost one title there to Giroud's Montpelier.Hard to judge him on that when PSG have walked the league almost every year since 2013.
Newcastle may beRafa abruptly quit his job in China...Rafa to Chelsea????
They could win against Wolves on Wednesday, but it would be hilarious if Tuchel got turned over by Sean Dyche. Now watch them go through a new manager bounce.
That's going to be important, it's something Chelsea have missed for a long time. Since the Mourinho days even. They did have something approaching a style in the mid 2010s with Matic/Kante and Hazard, but they have been a bit flat for a few years now.I was responding to someone else’s claim that he was sacked despite having Neymar and Mbappe.
Tuchel has a style, something Lampard hasn’t figured out yet. Tuchel has impressed with Mainz and Dortmund prior to moving to PSG where he is experienced the pressure of working at a bigger club.
He ticks a lot of boxes and he is now given until the end of the season to implement his own style and prepare for 2021-2022. I don’t think we will challenge this year as it’s too late but this gives him preparation time as opposed to being thrown in during the summer and expecting to challenge.
Be hilarious if he joins Sky as a pundit. The irony.Question is where does one go after this?
They will all disagree with it, but there’s definite hypocrisy here too. The media would certainly be campaigning for a foreign manager to be sacked in the same circumstances. They have tried to get every manager sacked at United since Fergie, with the exception of Moyes who they were willing to ‘give time’. This includes campaigning against Mourinho following a second placed finish.Tweet

Lineker disagrees. There's something to say for it, but unfortunately I think Chelsea doesn't have the luxury to wait on it whilst missing the CL and stuff like that, & there's also no guarantee that Lampard is the right person to turn it around either.

They do not mess around
He puts the money in the squad and if he thinks another manager can get the best out of the players, then he'll chop and change.Roman is ruthless - it’s why they are so successful and don’t usually go longer than 3 years without wining a title since he’s been in charge. But it also why imo they are a hollow club.

That's the point. It is easy winning the French league when you have such resources. He couldn't win in Germany as Bayern so strong. This league is very competitive. He will find that every game is a battle. Will be interesting to see how Tuchel cope with an entire new league where he doesnt have a massive quality advantage, and a absolutely horrid unbalanced squad of players.
The hype will be tested with this one.
Exactly this. We had a similar run last year, the board stuck by Ole because of one reason and that is having a long term plan, so they were giving him as much benefit of doubt as possible. If the Glazers did to Ole what Abramovich is doing to Lampard I'd be livid.
I can see the reasoning behind it and, if Ole's come under pressure for finishing 3rd and then leading us to the top of the table, collecting more points than anyone in a calendar year on the way, everyone deserves to be questioned.
However, for me, when the Ole outs were twerking for Pochettino, my big question was: 'What makes you think things will be so much better under someone else?' I'd have the same question if I was a Chelsea fan hearing the Tuchel speculation.
If you were talking about a sure thing, a manager who was obviously at the level of Pep and Klopp, maybe you could swallow the bitter pill? However, Tuchel is not at that level. So what are you really hoping for? Finishing top four under a club legend is surely more satisfying (emotionally) than under someone else?
