This one felt like a loss. We are going downhill and fast. Sad thing is I don't see anyone who can step up. Martial and Rashford has been dross for a while now but there are no players that can really challenge them.

If Bruno doesnt play well we dont play well. We are so Reliant on him producing something. All our forwards are toothless at the moment. We really struggle to break teams down .

We haven't won a single game since Lingard left, just saying.

More like we don’t have a deep squad like cities and also our manager doesn’t want to make necessary changes. Or maybe he feels he doesn’t have the depth to do so. These guys look tired and Bruno as a super sub would have made more sense.
Thats not true. We have one of the deepest squads in the Premier on paper. Its just most are pretty shit when they play and Ole is scared to experiment.

Exactly what I expected. Emirates not a good ground for us, so happy not to lose. But that disaster against Sheff Utd makes this look ten times worse.

Also, I don't understand how Lacazette going into Maguire's back with his studs showing is not even worth a VAR review? Him getting hurt should not matter!

I would be absolutely flabbergasted if there is any Utd fan that believes a team managed by Ole is capable of winning the title. Now, if the metric for success for one of the biggest clubs in the world has become the top 4 trophy then we really are just wasting our time!

We played with fear, and doubt. Almost an acceptance that a draw is a better result than going for it and losing. It's not the sort of mindset I want from a Utd team.

Running out of steam and devoid of ideas.

Resorted to crossing or chipping the ball into the box from rubbish angles and hoping someone would get on the end of it.

Desperately need to get some rhythm back into our play.

Really shit, disjointed performance when needing a reaction to mid-week.

So poor and really disappointing. A chore to sit through. Serious work to be done.

Agree with Keane there. Such a good chance to best a depleted Arsenal side and we just lacked belief.

Yeah, I agree. I still don't think Cavani is a lone striker.

I'd love to see the diamond again:

Rashford Cavani Greenwood
Bruno
Pogba Fred
McTominay
Shaw Maguire Bailly/Lindelof AWB
De Gea
Just feels at the moment Rashford and whoever plays on the left aren't affecting the game up top too often
That is 12 players. I would love to see that too.

When Cavani plays Ole needs to decide who plays left side - Rashford or Martial because Rashford looks like he's sulking on the right and how the hell was he not replaced after 60 minutes to give Mason a decent amount of time to get into the game ?

DVB should have come on for McTominay to leave Pogba in the attacking role.

Sub after 75 minutes isn't game changing.

They wanted it more than us !

He kept his unbeaten away run going, don't think you get a medal for that though. Also Ole don't whinge about the number of subs when you cannot even three. I hope Scottie is alright after being left out there.

Good game. It was important not to lose after Sheffield United.

First half, very good. Second half was more like headless chickens. Rashford needs to be on the bench. Even if he have big mountain higs, he is in a deep valley. He is slowing down every attack. Since his fight against poverty where he should get tons of credit he has become worse player. To much on a young mans shoulder?

I think what many of us have been saying is that this Utd team has been in a flattering position based on the way we have played so far this season. We have scrapped, battled and shown a god mentality up until this point but it’s been clear that it would catch us up eventually if we didn’t improve.

What was giving me hope is that we have shown periods where we are far better than this (pre and post lockdown last season) and if we could somehow of clicked into that gear, we could have consolidated our position. Unfortunately it now looks more likely that poor form will continue and we will start to be punished for the lack of cutting edge up top. Just hope we don’t go into a complete slump now and hit a bad spell.

Carragher talking sense. Next year? Unless we buy Mbappe, Koulibaly, Verratti, Sancho and Alaba, how on earth will we win this league?

Average performance, mixed feelings but would normally take a draw at the Emirates. Both teams could have scored a few so a draw is probably a fair result.

The results and points over the last year say otherwise. Two poor results doesn’t chance that!
Fair.
You are right if we take into account bigger perspective. My point was that Arenal after their recent resurgence of late and United recently are not very far off each other.

We are not a gegenpressing team. If we were to win it would have been a 1-0 or 2-1.

I am still Ole in but i just think that if we had Guardiola or Flick, we would be much better.

We are relying on individual good play to score and not collective good play.

I still thought it was a much better performance than against SU.

We need to get Rashford back on the left. I don't think it's worth moving him for the sake of Pogba and it definitely isn't worth moving him for the sake of Martial. Rashford can be frustrating at the best of times but he's infuriating to watch on the right.

Not good enough yet again in another big six game, we create next to nothing in them and because of that misses are proving very costly indeed

Looked like Shaw, Cavani, Fred, Maguire, Bissaka and Pogba were the only ones who wanted to win this.

Not that they were brilliant, barring Shaw, but at least they were trying hard.

Rashford, Martial and Greenwood need to quickly find their shooting boots.

Also, might not be a bad idea to start playing Amad Diallo from the next game. We need proper attacks coming from the right side.

In other news, Sancho scored for Dortmund today.

Decent performance, but we can`t score at the moment.

A big blow to lose Scott so early, thought he looked good at the start and Pogba can do more damage further up the pitch. Think we looked better before that happened.

Arsenal are in good form but thought we were better and were closer to win. Can`t be too upset after all.

This performance was much better than v.s. Sheffield. Some perspective is needed.

Against the other top EPL sides...
Spurs, Chelsea, Arse, City and Liverpool

Goals For - 1
Goals Against - 7
2 losses (one a battering)
4 0-0 draws
4 points out of 18

Rashford and Martial are totally pants. Neither anywhere near good enough.
Bruno looks totally exhausted and his form has gone.

That was a really bad game by us, simply because of the stupid playing out from the back. We never achieve anything with it. We pass it across the 18 yard box 4 times, then boot it to a weak striker (not Cavani for some reason) who loses it to the defender on his back.

Look, if we’re not coached well enough to do it, then don’t bloody do it. Play the percentages and go long at least half of the time and win the second balls, that is easier anyway. Getting the defenders in our own six yard box every goal kick is just stupid as it invites pressure, so get them 25 yards up the pitch and hoof it. Are we doing it because it’s trendy at the moment?

Aside from that, either team had the chances to win that game. Imo, that in itself isn’t good enough as that was the worst Arsenal lineup I’ve ever seen. Wenger put out better League Cup sides than the one we played today. Need to buck up for Saints and quick.

Total lack of urgency. Poor set up and substitution timings.
Couple of players need to find some form urgently (AWB, Rashford and Martial).
Disappointed in what Ole's take on the game. Saying its a good performance

POP there goes the bubble bursting. One point from the last six available. Not PL winning form. Saints on Tuesday will be a big test again. No energy or a clear plan from what I saw.
