I watched him as a 16 year old at Monaco and he was impressive and it seems he's now fully settled into the team and acclimatized and has gone up another level. He has craft and guile in abundance and the no look pass which carved Blackburn open and gave Amad a assist and Shoretire a simple finish was all Mejbri.

My MOTM because he's influential in multiple attacking and defensive zones which makes him a very dangerous player for the opposition due to his ability to progress play from a deeper role next to the CBs, or as the play making #8 and even coming off the left with his dribbles and superb line breaking ability.

I'm not saying he should be getting first team minutes, but I do want to see him on that 9 man bench soon.

His best performance since he has been here, he was brilliant, they were leaving it in in the tackle to provoke him as they were probably instructed as he has a temperament but he did not engage and got on with it, defo progress, there was some brilliant football tonight but the most pleasing thing was the many positive mental aspects of the group.

Saw that pass from the mid circle to find the Diallo on the right of the box. It’s a play from a deep lying playmaker type. Juicy!

A year or two?

He'd be off mate, like Pogba did. He could play a few minutes here and there right now
For sure, said when he joined he wanted to be playing senior football by the time he was 18.

I absolutely love watching Hannibal, and he was great again tonight.

Creative, ball playing midfielders are my favourite type of player to watch and Hannibal has so many attributes that I like. He's also really improved his temperament as the season has gone on - and again tonight he dealt well with so many bad fouls on him.

The referees are letting far too many bad fouls go every match, and mostly on Hannibal. But great to see how he's beginning to handle it well and winning the midfield battle to earn the right to dominate the play with his skill and vision. That was the part of his game he most needed to improve, and he's certainly doing that at the moment.

I still think he's not ready physically for the PL. He needs a year or 2 of bulk I think. Talent in abundance.
you’re probably right but it would be nice to see him get the recognition of a sub appearance at some stage if we are coasting in a match. He looks like he’s going to go all the way if he can handle the physical side of the game. Great vision and energy. You can’t not make it when you’re called Hannibal.

He looks to have more strings to his bow but the comparison is a little premature at this juncture due to Bellingham playing at first team level IMO.
Bellingham was relegation championship level last year and still looks it, getting games because he was promised them.

they wouldn’t be playing him unless he had the talent and that’s a pretty big jump in standard of football for your second ever season and moving counties on top of it. He’ll most likely improve a lot next season. I’m looking forward to seeing how he gets on. I wonder would Hannibal be getting minutes at Monaco by now.

Tbf mate, Bellingham was playing against men. But I would like to see Mejbri brought into the fold at first team level to prepare him for next season. I honestly believe clubs like Dortmund and RB Leipzig would be giving him games now, to put him into the shop window for a future transfer.

They would be playing him actually as they naively promised him first team football hence why he knocked us back as we aren't so hungry for a a bargain like Bayerns bitches.

Very Modric, Scholes like from deeper.. ;)
That's the comparison for me. The best thing for me is that he has the work rate and ability to take care of himself, so that he can play in a middle 2.

he is still very young and inexperienced to be starting most games for such a big club especially if he’s off form. He must be a bit special though given our interest and Dortmund’s willingness to agree to playing time demands and whatnot.

I'm sure he is but i'm glad we never caved to those silly demands BVB bent over to.

I wonder if playing with Diallo has improved his performances, as in playing with better players has enabled him to show his quality, like in that clip of them two running rings around the Blackburn players. Would that suggest he would do better in first team?

This is the problem though. A bunch of glory hunter fans will complain about not winning titles whilst we end up focusing on the progress of players like Dialo and Hannibal.

Clubs like Dortmund and RB Leipzig can focus on one or the other (usually failing on one or the other) but unfortunately we have to focus on both.

The Pogba thing was a calamity. He needed to be to be given game time earlier. Hopefully Hannibal gets some minutes in the cup competitions this year. I would be very dissapointed a parrasite club, like Juve, stole him.

Agreed.

The pressure is far greater at our club to get results but I think the ones that are genuinely talented will get opportunities in the first team.

Will he be ready next season? If so then maybe we will have future replacement for Pogba.

Should definitely be in-line for some Europa League minutes. I couldn’t give a monkeys whether we beat Sociedad or not. If we’re serious about staying in the title race it’s probably better if we don’t progress!

Could be played AML with Amad AMR and Martial at CF and van de Beek at AMC

A top player in Amad seemed to get the best from this lad.

At times he looks sublime. Really hoping this kid kicks on and keeps progressing, smart player and talented.

The most impressive thing about Hannibal - and an area where he has improved a lot, is the fact that he doesn't retaliate. And God knows - I could understand if he did considering how many times he was fouled

Hannibals biggest problem is his own mentality - 3-4 months ago he started whining after 5 minutes - he has improved a lot in the last few weeks, and now he has focus on the match.
