Interesting shout — especially with Shaw being our most influential player offensively at the moment, is James going to track that run every time at RW?
That's what I'm thinking. Wouldn't be surprising if we pack the defence with CBs or play Iwobi to help out on that side.

When United last won 9-0 (1995 v Ipswich) they won their next match 1-0 the winner coming in the 85 minute. History to repeat itself tomorrow evening?
Please no, that will be nervy as feck.
Just hope for a 2 or 3 goals hammering with us scoring early.

Nervous as always. Set piece threat and fast balls behind our defence isnt exactly what we enjoy best.

Today’s match is a difficult one. Your suggestion is a little bit to offensive. It’s very likely McT will start, and I think he is the right choice today.
Aye, as I said I wouldn’t be surprised if he played, I just hope we don’t shoehorn players in eg. Pogba left and Rashford right.
Do you think it’ll be a McFred midfield 2?

Their recent away record has been good and our home record is below average. Think we can edge this 2-1.
Our defense needs to be prepared for aerial assaults.
We're 5th in the league at home and 1st away.

I hope and think we have the same midfield set up today as the setup we started with against Arsenal, before McT was substituted because if his stomach.

Everton are a very decent side...one of them games where we can't carry passengers.

DCL against our centre backs worries me I'd Lindelof plays...Digne is a proper threat as well...should be interesting watching him and Shaw.

Difficult one to call all over this.

They set up so defensively last time in the cup, and that was at home, so expect the same again unless Ancelotti has new ideas.

Hopefully we can get an early goal to bring them out of their shell.

It's Munich remembrance day today and we often don't play well due to the emotion of the occasion.
I remember us losing to City where fecking Benjani scored 1 of the 4 goals he scored in his entire city career

    That game still annoys me

I always think back to the 2008 derby. It wasn't on the exact date, and we lost, but the fans being united before kickoff was beautiful.

The kit we wore that day was a beauty, too.

Let’s play today in the memory of one of the greatest United teams in history.

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McT Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

Just keep the same team which started on Tuesday. Momentum and sheer confidence after a 9-0 win will carry us through this game. Very harsh on Pogba and Martial but former shouldn’t be shoehorned into a team who sensationally matched a PL record on Tuesday, and latter must prove that he can do it against 11 men. Also, I don’t want Rashford right and Martial left. That’s two out of position players.

    Prediction: United 2-1 Everton

Don't have a good feeling this match, we'd screw up again I think.

Can't wait for this one coming off the back of Tuesday's wonder show. Ole and the lads will be pumped.

Pogba needs to start this. We were playing against an injury ravaged Southampton who went down to 10 in the first minute. We cant really take much from that. McT and Fred lose the midfield battle more than they win it, we need technical ability in there against Everton.

If you didn't see technical ability from McT against Southampton, you weren't watching.

I'm all for bringing Pogba in, but he needs to be added as an ingredient on top of the dominance, energy and speed of play that we have when McFred start, not instead of. If today's midfield battle is going to be difficult to win, then by all means start him instead of Greenwood and let AWB provide the width.

Personally I'd just stick with the front six who started vs Southampton. Football is about momentum, and they've got it.

Yes, it was as easy as a training session after the early red, but I just can’t drop a midfielder who played so well in a 9-0 win. I mean, safe for friendlies, we’ll probably never see that sort of winning margin by United again in our lifetimes. Meanwhile Pogba, who while definitely our best and most talented midfielder, did not really have his best games against Sheff Utd and Arsenal.

Agree. That’s what I mean, the lads who started on Wednesday, while playing an easy game, had magnificent performances and will have the momentum and confidence that no one else in the league will have atm.

Pogba was rested for Southampton game so he's bound to start tonight. I'd go with Fred alongside him as they tend to do well when paired together.

Expect Pogba to come back in for this one., but I hope that doesn't mean putting him on the left and shunting Rashford out on the right.

I find this hard to get in my head with the amount of players from overseas / not connection to Manchester or the club growing up.

It shouldn’t have a negative impact on the clubs performance to be honest.

No disrespect to the Babes at all, but this means more to fans than it does to players IMO.

Fred with Pogba and Bruno in the middle and Bailly with Maguire makes the team so much more combative and mobile. If everyone is fit, it should be a no Brainer.

Not a fan of the diamond? It does a job against the defensive, but we'll need more presence central midfield to handle Everton though. I agree Pogba is far less effective wide left.

I haven't seen the team news but I'd like to see something like this if fit:

    DDG

    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw

    Pogba Fred

    Bruno

    Martial Cavani Rashford

I think the emotion of the day will be lessened drastically seeing as it's an empty stadium, with little to no ceremony.
    Yeah, that's a good point.

I'm sure there be a ceremony of sorts, but a more subdued version than we're used to.

I think it will be something like that. I said to someone else above that I think Pogba could come in for Fred. Have a Pogba and McTominay two.

I wonder which version of us will show up tonight. I just hope we stamp our authority on the game and really go for them from the off. If our full backs and midfield work as well in this game as the last then we will win. Pogba in for Fred doesn’t fill me with much confidence. We could end up playing slow but direct and standing off in the defensive phase apart from mct.

I don't want changes for changes sake. It was hardly a tough workout on Tuesday night. We've got a cup game if Ole really wants to mix things up.
