The club should make a formal complaint against the FA regarding Mike Dean's arrogant and incompetent ass. He's not the reason we lost but he can't referee the big games. I'm not implying he is biased against us but it's happened much too often.

Terrible ref, let them make tactical fouls without punishing them, and just about bottled the big decisions.

He's just a consistently wank referee, and he does it with the biggest arrogant punchable face you could imagine.

He wasn't even close to being the reason we lost though.

Dig up stupid!
Think Marcus' first 4 touches all ended up with them going through the back of him and he didn't get a single freekick

He actively encouraged the tactical fouls first half

Had no bearing on the result mind

He has this weird thing where he decides he has to seen as better than a team, then goes out of his way to 'subtely' enforce it.

See Greenwood's yellow for getting the ball, Maguire being penalised in their box and asking why 20 times (with no response), Cavanis yellow at the end of the match.

He has this weird ego thing where he has to be the star of the show, he has to be seen as the one in power and he ends up making stupid fecking decisions because of it

Which is why outside of Dean and Atkinson I prefer all the other refs - they may get things wrong but they try to be objective and consistent. Dean and Atkinson always make it about themselves rather than the actual game

Of course he had a massive bearing on the result. Their centre backs had five clear yellow cards between them. Holding after 3-4 minutes when making a tactical foul on Rashford; then he received one for doing the same to Pogba minutes later. Gabriel one in the first, should have been sent off for the one on Greenwood, and should have had a yellow for what should have been a pen. Dean had a massive impact on the game! Terrible referee!

Holding arsed Rashford when he'd nutmegged him and didn't get a yellow either.

We didn't lose because of the referee today. But it doesn't excuse Dean's performance.

Can't get away from our own performance, but wow is he inconsistent.

How Gabriel stayed on the pitch is beyond me. Holding was fortunate too.

Holding should have been on a yellow from the tackle on Rashford, Gabriel should have been sent for his tackle on Greenwood. He is awful.

Yeah, and that is two reds and still people argue Dean didn’t affect the outcome of the game? That is not counting the penalty on Matic.

Greenwood gets a yellow for a perfect slide tackle, then gets fouled attacking the box and there’s no second yellow. Then about 10 minutes later Cavani does the exact same foul as Gabriel in the arsenal half, but gets a yellow.

It’s easy to say it wouldn’t have made a difference after we played so shit, but when the margins are basically Pogba making one rash tackle, it cost us a potentially very good chance creation and getting to attack 10 men for 15 minutes.

Anyone saying he didn't influence the game is idiotic. Arsenal should have been down to 10 men ffs, if that's not influential enough then what is ?

Why dont the PL clubs complain about standard of Ref here?

This guy is the worst.

Everyone is obese, scrawny, unfit and unable to make the right decisions.

His performance was a disgrace, but sadly it was a level above the performance of our team today. We should have had a pen too and it would have probably been a draw, despite the poor performance.

When Mike Dean refs he doesn't want people to be talking about the football after the match. Mike Dean wants people to be talking about Mike Dean.

I'm serious when I say that he's one of the say five or ten biggest profiles in the league. It will not be the same without him.

No way he just retires. He will move on to be head of the PGMOL, open a Twitter account and take over the world.

Didn't he sent off Arsene at OT for kicking a plastic bottle? The Gordon Strachan commentary on it is hilarious.

He will want that position on BT where they talk to the ref, who offers zero insight.

Except Dean will demand camera time.

Crouchie had him on his podcast.
I was surprised he was a northerner for some reason.
