This obsession with playing 2 holding midfielders is becoming a joke.

We aren't developing under him really.

As it stands I'd very much be looking to replace him when the season ends.

Give him the rest of the season to show if he can change anything

His in game management is so poor. Subs always so late.

14 points away from the top with possible 17 next week.

I'm starting to think that we have hit our max point under his management. Today we looked without purpose, only plan that I saw was for about 10 minutes in the first half when Shaw just crossed it in constantly. After that moment the passing was without any intention, as if the players were making it up on the spot. No dynamism, no automatisms to our play, nothing of note. The subs were also far too late.

0/10 for the management today.

Jokes aside, the signs that he just wasn't good eonugh has been clear for some time now. I think people are just so desperate for one of these coaches to finally be the correct option, coupled with the fact that he's a club legend, that they tried so hard to convince themselves otherwise. I don't give a feck about the quality of the squad or that we can't compete with City. Yes, they have a better squad than us, which Ole also needs to take part of the blame for. You don't sign players like Wan Bissaka and Maguire and expect to play fast, expansive, attacking football.

What is damning though is the fact that we are over 2 years in and you could argue that if you take Bruno out of this side, we are no better than we were when he joined. That 's not the sign of a top tier coach.

This nonsense that coaching isn't important and it's all about the quality of the players needs to end. If we were playing some good stuff, seeing signs of coached attacking patterns and were being let down by individual issues - most would have far more time for him as they could place faith in what he was building. Instead, it's the complete opposite, we are far too often extremely slow, pedestrian, predictable in our play, with no real signs of collective understanding - relying on said individuals to get us out of that shite.

This form is why you do not lose to Sheffield fecking United in the middle of a title race.

Ole is not a bad coach, he is just an incredibly average one. Just like Arteta and Lampard are/were. Rival fans are loving the fact he's our manager. He has no right to be in this job for this long. He's actually done ok to be fair to him but this is the furthest he will get us. Don't give him another £100m because top 4 is the ceiling with him in charge regardless of who we bring in.

Please United, do the right thing. And get a proper manager in. We have too good a squad to squander it on a poor coaching staff. Just look at what Chelsea have done and how it's paid dividends.

Chelsea smarter to make a change during the season.

It is risky to change, but not seeing much done with us under Ole this season.

We may even miss top 4.

Need to win the derby now. Another 0-0 would make me sick.

Just not good enough. We’ll waste a lot of time figuring it out. You can’t sit and watch that performance and think, yeah we don’t need any subs yet. Change it just to give the players on the pitch a kick up the arse if nothing else.

I’ve fluctuated between Ole in and Ole out but I think my patience is just gone. Watching United just regularly makes me angry. It’s not all his fault but I just don’t think we’re a much better team than we were when he took over. He’s done an ok job, but is that enough? We’re currently second because other teams have been a bit worse. That’s not going to last.

I'm curious to know if there's any staunch Ole in members on here that are starting to question him.

City could go 17 points ahead of us at the weekend with a number of games still left to play and we all gave Jose shite for finishing 19 behind Pep.

Have felt all season the amount of progress has been massively over hyped, for time and money spent I still feel we’re going nowhere.

On course for 71-72 points now and top four in no way guaranteed, think Ole keeps job whether we make it or not but I still think sooner we move on the better.

I remember saying a while back, when a poster asked why I wasn't totally convinced about Ole when we were doing well, it's because this has been par for the course with Ole, we have a great run, then we go on a massive run of nothing but absolute crap, then we'll win a few games again to make it look promising, before negating back to absolute crap.

It's been the same the entire time he's been here, we will not win any notable silverware whilst he is here, and as much as I love the player, he is an average manager where we are in a sea of vastly better managers, if you can't see this at this point you are blind and we'll just be left treading water whilst other teams across Europe swim forward because of our sentimentality.

I've had enough. He needs to go. No game plan, no will to change the system and doesn't have the balls to gamble with younger players when we are shite. We would have been mid-table if it wasn't for Bruno(despite his form recently).

Sometimes I feel he doesn't want to take risks cause he might lose his job instead of trying anything to win.

2+ years on and we still can't put together any cohesive attacking play, still can't break down a low block, still struggle with subs, still haven't managed a final and still can't get any fecking consistencia. For me, he really has to go.

I've always wanted to hold off because its obvious there's a lot of people who look for the opportunity to go in Ole because they never wanted him. This really is the first time I've thought maybe he's not the right man. The idea he doesn't bring on all three subs its not good enough. Why we didn't change and play 442 in the end with Mason up top with another, could have then played James, Amad on the wings and go for the win. Really frustrated tonight because I feel he could/should have done more to change the game. He seem so defensive and I don't get it.

Can we all agree he deserves massive criticism for not giving Bruno Rashford etc a proper rest in the second leg against Sociedad.

Look where playing then has got us....

He new we had injury issue yet opted to run more of our players into the ground

That was absolutely horrendous and no different from most of the rubbish served up since the turn of the year. We look completely lost and out of ideas now. Such a chore to watch, it feels like the dark end days of LVG and Mourinho. Something needs to change quick, performance wise. Not gonna hold my breath.

I really don’t think it’s happening, no matter how much people want it to work or have convinced themselves it can work. We’ve hit the ceiling with him as I’ve feared since he somehow got 3rd last year. That’s him working at his best.

He had a chance to be a comfortable 2nd this season but now he’s taking us into a Top 4 fight quickly.

It's not really all that risky replacing an under par manager with a class one
But what if you take a chance on a proven manager and he's no better than Ole?

Err then you move on to the next one. It's not fecking rocket science.

If there is one Utd fan who believes Ole would be hired by a PL club when he is eventually sacked, id like them to make a case for it! Shockingly limited and one dimensional manager who relegated a team previously so why is anyone surprised.

The damage Ole has done to the players coaching them. Everyday he coaches them is a loss in their career and no manager can come now and fix the stupidity that Ole implanted into the players heads with short time. We better kick him out of the club in the summer and plan our next manager carefully.
