I don’t like to get into the Ole debate but deep down I don’t think he’s good enough. He doesn’t have tactical solutions when things are difficult. Are there fans that really believe he’s the man to get us winning titles again?

Yeah people complaining about subs but ignoring the state of the bench. Our most experienced forward of the front 3 was Dan James. We're in trouble if these injuries don't clear up soon.
This is true today but let's not pretend this isn't a common theme with Ole. His use of subs are a problem even when the squad is fit.

Had one too many?

Of course he gets some extra rope because hes a United legend (as he should) but there is no such thing as an "Ole fan"
Exactly. It's like there are Jose fans still lurking who want Ole to fail. Some of the reactions the moment we draw is absurd.

This is such a dumb cliche’d comment. Nobody wants to see the club doing badly. Nobody is a “hater” we all just want the best for the club. If Ole had shown that he could get results consistently over his 2 years id have more faith in him. The truth is he’s very inconsistent. Supporting United these last 2 years is more up/down than a rollercoaster. I can’t see him getting us enough consistency to ever get back to where we need to be. His use of subs honestly baffles me at times.
Lots of fans want to see the club do badly. Sometimes they even say it in posts , that it is for the good of the club.... They would have more credibility of people hadn't said it for 4 consecutive managers and nearly 10 years haha but this type of person can't introspect

Can you not wait until we are actually out first though?

1-1 is not a great result, but it is still a decent one.
We just need to score 1 to have a good chance. 2 and that should be enough.

Without fans playing away shall hopefully not be a problem.

Of course us not scoring in many games recently is a worry. 0-0 can certainly happen if we do not attack the game strongly.

At this point this thread has basically become a joy parade of his haters coming here within 10 minutes after any bad/average performance. Was nice when it was so quiet here on Sunday.
Sack thread shouldn't have been closed, this sort of stuff would have been contained in there.

Honestly, does anyone seriously believe we can win anything with Ole in charge? To me he is so out of his depth its ridiculous.
Only coach to beat Pep more than lose to him. On course for our first 2 top 4 finishes in a row. Lvg and Jose couldn't manage it. Were they out of their depth too?
Just wait until he finds his feet, eh

Indeed.

I admit though there was a time under Moyes when I wasn't entirely convinced I wanted us to win games because I wished he got the sack soon. To my defense it wasn't just about our football or results, I disliked his character a lot, he was super smug without achievements to support that.

The options on the bench were poor but it worries me how easy it is for him to go defensive when we come up against any half decent side. On the other hand it's rare you see him going ultra offensive when we need a goal. The solution seems to be a full back in most cases anyway.

That's just a thought about him overall though, I'm not that bothered about tonight because the options just weren't there. Bruno can't play every minute and James was really poor.

I think the problem is we do not raise our game that often when we really have a chance to achieve something.
We normally do it to rescue poor form or stay in the race for top 4. Like the City result was so typical Ole because he would not have won it had we been in the title race that we bottled in the previous weeks.

Still we are not out though so hopefully we can step up in the next game.

People talk about our poor options on the bench. But fecking hell this can't be an excuse for not being able to pass a football. I've no idea what we are doing in the training ground but the slighted pressure and we crumble and panic on the ball

Sounds like our current manager. Don’t know what’s changed?

No Martial or Cavani on Sunday. Get ready for another poor result.

I don't give a shit about subs anymore, we haven't played any decent football this season with very few exceptions.

The team has looked clueless on the ball for weeks now, even our best players have no idea what to do on possession most of the time.

2nd is a false position, the team has gone backwards. All our forwards have regressed and Bruno has looked worse this season despite his numbers.

Is the result only the problem for some ? We can still go through. The problem is our performance is terrible and we don't have any system. Our general play is godawful. His subs management is terrible.

This isn't sustainable.

Scary thing is, Bruno's numbers would be even better if great chances we're finished (Maguire prime example tonight).

He's the one man keeping this team alive but I don't think he knows who to pass to at times as he knows most of our players do jack with the ball.

I do agree that all season we haven't looked convincing at all, needs to change, we can't keep playing like this.

We need to do more with possession, heard something from the commentator tonight in the first half we had 53-57% possession and I was gobsmacked as Milan were the ones creating all the chances - big problem.

Are our results any more inconsistent compared to other big teams? Genuinely asking. The fixture list is relentless.

You mean loosing 2 games since christmas? Wow
It's the performances that are concerning and most of the games we have played this year have been draws which isn't really what you want if you are planning on winning trophies, but let's bury our heads in the sand.

This shouldn't be the barometer on how we judge a manager. Pep is on course to win the league comfortably regardless of results against us. Plus he has beaten ole in the big games when it came to semi finals in the league cup.

That Pep record is the most ridiculous thing I see peddled around here. Both the club and Ole win feck all for beating Pep. I'm sure he's gutted sitting a fecking mile ahead of us in almost every regard.

Congratulations, he has enabled this team to compete in the big games because he sets up as the underdog anytime he plays a decent side as he is incapable of coaching a dominant style of football that will enable us to compete with them head to head.

He is over two years into his time with us and we still look no better against teams that don't give us a trillion acres of space to run into. Those are the games that win titles. Not whether or not you can win a few games against a City side who relentlessly attack us.

When do we start seeing some decent signs of progressive football? Most coaches don't stick around for longer than 3 years anymore ffs and we are over 2 in and still waiting for him to 'find his feet whatever the feck that means

Wake up and smell the fecking coffee, he's clearly out of his depth. It doesn't take 3 years to start seeing signs of football you can place any hope in.

Surely by this point he's used up his extra rope? He's been close to the sack three times now.

We shouldn't be evaluating him based on legend status over 2 years into his tenure.

This reminds me of when we were mocking Liverpool for celebrating wins against us while we were walking the league.

Remember in 2009 when Liverpool defeat us home and away including 4-1 at OT and we didn't give a shit because we won the league anyway ? Yeah I remember too.

Not so much the results, but there is a pattern to seems to occur more often now and the coaching staff either don't see or more worryingly don't know how to fix it.

Also, our football is awful and has been for a while now. Where is the process?
