No need to throw away even a pence.
Calabria, Rebic, Leao and Romagnoli won't even make it to the bench tonight.
An unfit Zlatan and unfit Kjaer will probably be rushed back into the team due to the crisis.
Barely any of the starters are free from fitness problems.

As a Milan fan I just hope this won't be another huge embarrassing loss. You'll face Milan at our worst.
I thought that's what we were expecting last week? Didn't really turn out that way.

Having Kessie and Calhanoglu could be enough to see you through if we're not up to it.

Remember, we're also potentially rushing back Pogba and Rashford for this, and are without both of our most natural/experienced strikers.

Add to that us having to put Lindelof up against Ibra (albeit for 60 odd minutes or so) could be more than enough to inflict lasting damage on the tie.

It's far too close to call right now. If we play anywhere near the level we did the first leg, you'll advance through.

Pogba to come on as a sub if we are chasing a goal.

They caused us some trouble last week with long balls from deep, straight down our centre back's throats, so we need to be very alert for second balls if Zlatan is playing because he will win the ball and flick on to any runners around him.
Yeah that's why I put Matic in there as almost a 3rd CB playing a little further forward but we don't do well with a back 5 if that is where you are going with that comment, i feel everytime we move to a back 5 we end up conceding, we just need to play our game right until the end and not be too defensive minded,

Our CB's have been pretty solid in the last few games too.

Calhanoglu? He has been terrible ever since he contracted corona.
I hope he doesn't get to start tonight because Brahim Diaz has been better.

I liked the makeshift lineup of last week. I was mainly worried about the lack of impact subs.

    Probable lineup
Donnaurmma; Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Meite, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Krunic; Castillejo

That's a worse lineup than the decimated team of the first leg.

This is an easy one if Pogba isn't fit:

    Greenwood
    Rashford Bruno James
    McFred
    Shaw Maguire Lindelof AWB
    Henderson

I think even with the inclusion of Lindelof we'll struggle with playing out from the back like we did at home. With both our strikers out, we won't have a target man to play a long ball to when we can't advance the ball through midfield and we must score. That's why I'm hoping Pogba is back and we'll line up like so:

    Rashford Greenwood
    Bruno
    Pogba McTominay
    Fred
    Shaw Maguire Lindelof AWB
    Henderson

And just win the midfield battle with an extra player. Can always take out a midfielder for James in this setup, or even for AWB when we're chasing.

I'd be content with starting in our 4-2-3-1 if Pogba is fit.

    Hoping for this.

Marcus and Mason as wide forwards.
Bruno as a 10/false 9 with some responsibilites on the right side, and Pogba as AM with some responsibility on the left side.
Fred as the engine/ball winner in the midfield, and Matic as the DM/shield.
Shaw as the offensive, creative full back, Spider-Wan as a defensive full back (going forward when needed/possible, of course.)

Problem with all these counter-attacking line ups is that we are the ones who will have to chase the game. We are out if we fail to score.

    Oh god no, I don’t want a back 5!

We just need our midfielders to be alert to their midfield runners from any long balls.

Line-ups according to today's La Gazzetta dello Sport

Unavailable players: Calabria, Rebic, Mandzukic, Maldini, Rafael Leao; Cavani, Martial, Bailly, Mata, Jones
Risk of suspension: Donnarumma, Romagnoli, Saelemakers; Lindelof, Maguire, McTominay, Williams

Not confident at all about us.. Calabria is a big absence first of all, Dalot is not as good as him. They miss 2 important players upfront but we're in an even worse situation: Mandzukic, Rebic, Rafael Leao not available and our whole attack on the shoulders of a 39 y.o. player who's not even fully fit and won't be able to play more than 60 minutes..
Calabria will be missed but Hernandez is back, really like this guy.

Milan would be dumb to aim for a 0-0, I'm sure they won't. When a team sets up like that, start off with that mindset, I feel like it usually goes wrong.

    No excuses tonight.
Is this speculation or is this guy reliable? Would be a bit crazy to start Castillejo as a false 9 over Zlatan - half fit or not.

Pogba has to start. Their full Midfield is back
It's the same two midfielders as last time. Meite and Kessie.
Bennacer is not going to start.

Calhanoglu probably will start but I hope he won't because he's terribly off form. Brahim Diaz is better.

Its not any 39 year old player though, it's your top scorer this season. Leao has been rubbish when I've seen him tbh.

I would worry about Pogba starting this as his first game back. Would certainly like to see him for 30-40 minutes if we need him but he usually takes a bit of time to warm up and Kesse/Meite will be allover him if he's hanging onto the ball too long while they are sharp early on.

Might be best served with him to the left if he starts.

If our line up is Fred Pogba and Bruno I wont be surprised if we lose. Go out all attacking and our defenders get exposed.

Lots of people here having Pogba down to start - can't see it personally. He can't be ready to start a match of this magnitude after so long out (he is the slowest bloody healer in christendom!)

It's hilarious how many people think this is going to be a stroll. I know I'm often pessimistic but there do seem to be people who predict a win in every game! I have no idea why some people are saying Milan aren't a good side. Didn't they watch last week's game? Do they still hold the idea that Serie A is a weak league? Just odd to me. They looked very well organised at OT, were by far the better team and they are going to be stronger today.

We missed two open goals while playing shite.

I don't think tonight game will be a stroll but we are still massive favourites to win it.

... which is why I want Pogba in there instead of for example James. Creativity, passing, and a bigger threat from long range. Him and Bruno has also worked very well together at times breaking through the lines of a low block. I don't really see this as more counter attacking than most other line ups?

To be honest, I'd rather we go all out attacking, we ain't protecting any sort of lead here, you know go down swinging an all, and I am sure Milan will try to attack too, so it will be end to end stuff, what might matter is who's most clinical.

I predicted an easy result last time around and Milan shocked and impressed me with the way they played. For that reason, I'm predicting a much tighter game this time around and just hope our quality shines through in key moments.

Feck managing Pogba's game time. He is gone in the summer, squeeze every last drop out of him while we can. Any long-term effects will be someone else's problem.

    Play him from the start.

Actually pretty excited for this game! Might be in the EL, but it's still a European tie against a really big club. I also feel like we should be giving the EL a real go! We are relatively safe in the top 4, and getting a trophy would be a good thing for the squad.

    2-1 United!
